Great location, very quiet, walk to shopping centre, Leagues club, fast food, a couple of restaurants around, and easy driving access to Central Bundaberg.

First minor complaint ever. I stay here, if I can get a room, whenever I'm in Bundaberg, which is regularly. The bed was not as comfortable as I have come to expect. The centre of the mattress is ridged and and felt worn out on the side. I prefer a firm bed surface.

Bed was comfortable. Room was always made up and fresh each day and staff were lovely. We had use of washing machine and dryer at no cost which was handy as we were there for a sports carnival.

Not the hotels issue/fault but gosh the cars racing and revving down the straight main road are loud and annoying!! Shower head was too low for my sons height so it was annoying for him haha not for me though.

Good location. Easy to orient oneself to all the areas around.

For a short stay, or one where you always ate out, it would be great. We stayed 3 nights, so found the main room rather cramped. We couldn't unpack non-hangable clothes because shelf space was tiny. The space where we boiled the kettle, used the toaster, ate or made sandwiches etc was narrow. It was winter, & so a sheet & 1 blanket was not enough. (We used heating only to warm the room pre-bed.) The bathroom, on the other hand, was huge, but had no shelves. We stored shoes & other items in there. These are small issues overall, and I think we'd stay there again.

The owner was very warm and welcoming, as well as very helpful when we had a problem with the washing machine. Having free access to the washing machine and dryer was a bonus, especially for longer stays. The cleanliness of the room was faultless. The location was great, close to shopping and the Brothers Club which we highly recommend, especially the Chinese restaurant. It's also an easy drive into the CBD.

The only small criticism is that there was no doona or blanket on the bed when we arrived. Even in sub-tropical Bundaberg, winter nights and early mornings can be a bit chilly. However, we found a nice blanket in a cupboard, which was very welcomed. Nevertheless, the air-conditioning on the warm cycle was quite effective.

Location was perfect as it was around the corner of where I was working.

There was one guest that started talking on his phone around 1700 and kept talking to about 2300, went outside on a couple of occasions for a smoke (whilst still talking on the phone) and was quite loud.

Room was very nicely renovated. Good bathroom, well laid out with good water pressure in shower. Very clean, tidy and comfortable room for our 1 night stay. Lovely lady at reception. Pool looked inviting but didn't use.

On a main road that was noisy through the night, needed earplugs.

Manager was lovely & the room was clean & modern.

If I had to nitpick, it was a bit dusty on some surfaces but not on anywhere used regularly. I also struggled to keep the shower water at a reasonable temperature but still a 9 out of 10 for us :-)

The Motel was booked out the night we were there, and it's easy to see why. I have stayed at 4 Hotels in Bundy over the last three years, and none of them came anywhere near the Golden Palms. I would be happy to recommend it to any traveler. Nothing was too much trouble, and there was more on offer than we needed for a very comfortable stay.

Lovely appointed rooms. Pool and BBQ area. Undercover parking. Friendly staff. Very good rates. Close to town, airport, clubs, and shopping centre. I would definitely stay there again.

Nothing. Everything was fine. Apart from being a little bit from the CBD, everything was great.
