Ground floor 2 bedroom apartment. Apartment was clean and tidy - had a microwave, toaster and kettle. Lots of places to eat locally so we took that option. There is a 24 hr convenience store across the road. Air conditioning was good, however it’s time to clean those filters! We had a nasty mouldy smell in one of the bedrooms. Pool was lovely - get towels from reception. Good place to stay, half way between airport and city, so handy to get around. Really close to the hospital as well.

easy access from airport, short 5-10min drive to The Lagoon on the esplanade. Wifi worked well, laundry use quick and easy, clean tidy pool, able to borrow clothes rack to dry items I didn’t want to put in dryer. Computer in guest lounge for guest use, nice little lounge area to discuss travel plans and have a coffee/cake on offer.

very small car park on site, observed many guests struggle getting in and out of car spaces when lot was getting full. We hired a Suzuki swift so it was less challenging for us but recommend big cars unload then park out front.

Clean apartment, it's got everything you need if you want to cook, laundry, etc. Muffins and scones are a good bonus every morning. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment as the aircon in the unit we were allocated wasn't working properly. Big apartment, we didn't touch the other room as only 2 of us. Friendly staff members willing to help the best they can. Will recommend to anyone wanting accommodation in Cairns.

The apartment was what I had booked, I really liked the little decorations and flowers, it gave the place a very welcoming feeling. The parking is very good, good guest laundry. The kitchenette had everything you need. One surprise- the kitchen & lounge facilities in the main office were very nicely done, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, apartment a good size for 4 people, close to airport and the main shopping centre, only a few minutes drive to the cruise terminal, they have scones or muffins available for guests each morning. It has a pool and is within a short walking distance to a nice Indian restaurant, and takeaway Pizzas etc and a local club for meals .Very reasonably priced,. I'd stay here again if I get to Cairns again.

Pre warning on being right next to the swimming pool would have been good. Had to keep windows & blinds closed due to excessive screaming from kids while parents just sat there... as well as privacy

Although the view of the pool was nice & was happy with the location... the really bad screaming kids in it was terrible. Parents need to manage their kids by not allowing their kids to be extra noisy.. Im a parent of 5 so know that either kids tone it down or get out. Respect of others staying in the complex is a must. An extra toilet roll would be good.

Warm and helpful greeting in reception, check in was simple and quick. Parking easily accessed with nice outdoor undercover seating/smoking area. 2 bdrm apartment on first floor was spacious with every ammenity imaginable, rooms beautifully prepared and clean and neat. Seperate a/c in all rooms. With windows closed no street noise. Security chain for front sliding door. Will definitely book to stay here again.

A/c in lounge would not work, likely needed new batteries for remote. A dowel for base of sliding door would be a welcome cheap security addition for overnight, seeing as how main lock looks to have been attempted to have been bypassed in past. Otherwise, great stay.

I loved staying here! Nothing was too much trouble, I arrived at midnight and my arrival was perfectly taken care of. The aircon was on, curtains closed and the room was all ready for my arrival. The room smelt gorgeous and was well appointed with everything you could want. Cooker, fridge, kettle, sink, microwave etc etc Shower hot and powerful, air con was responsive and effective. Bed comfy and the variety of pillows was a great idea. Great size room and bonus of big balcony! Really enjoyed staying here I'm a frequent traveller and rate Cairns City Palms highly

It was a bit noisy in the morning (,other occupants) but not a big deal.

I loved the friendly welcome. The staff went above & beyond. I had trouble with my first booking but the staff were more then happy to move me into another room, no extra charge, i then had a cancelled flight after I checked out, which to my relief the hotel staff quickly made another room vacant for me before the 2pm check in rule, I could not thank them enough. The complimentary scones and mini muffins were delightful. Every staff member onsight was helpful and friendly. They really made sure I was comfortable and looked after.

The early hour check outs noise other guests make can be quiet loud, as doors and walls aren't fully sound proof. If you're a heavy sleeper you can sleep right through, if you're a light sleeper you'll be sure to wake up from the early hour check outs.

Traveling with 2 teenagers and my wife, the 2 separate bedrooms were ideal--very good value for money. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The outside BBQ area was great! We expected a basic BBQ to cook snags for dinner and instead we got an area under cover, with tables and chairs, with a fulll sized fridge w/freezer--perfect to keep our XXXX nice and cold before and during eating. Also, the pool area was a nice retreat--and a separate location from the BBQ area, so that's another outdoor living area we could enjoy. Well done Cairns City Palms!

Ok, so some guests have pointed out that the facilities are a little dated--while this is true, the most important thing is that everything worked perfectly, which I think is the most important thing. Also, some other travelers have complained that it's on a busy road--again true, (but not overly busy like a highway) AND we were fairly close to the street and did not hear traffic noise.

We had a one bedroom apartment and were very happy with it. It had facilities for cooking and everything we needed for 6 days. There is a communal washing machine and drier, for $4 each. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and it was lovely to have complimentary scenes with jam and cream in the morning. The pool was most welcome after a hot day, but it is very small and there was a communal BBQ for use too.

The shower floor could get very slippery and required as level of caution.
