Loved the spacious unit, the 2 swimming pools, the very helpful staff. Great value for money, buses into town very cheap and frequent, or you can walk. Good convenience stores just up the road.

No toaster in unit. Smelll in cupboard where dishes are stored. Saw mouse droppings there, which we reported to front desk.

We had a few teething issues with air con and tv, these were sorted out straight away. All staff we encountered were incredibly helpful and lovely. Quiet and family friendly.

Leaving a light on for a young child at night was problematic, could have done with a small lamp rather than wall or ceiling lights, but this is very picky and personal to us!

We had a wheelchair accessible room and it was great. Could even keep the mobility scooter we hired in the room with plenty of space to move around on it if I had wanted or needed to. The bathroom was very roomy and had a collapsible seat to sit on while you showered. All staff were very friendly and they provided great service letting the scooter be delivered before we arrived and collected after we left. When we arrived we were shown the scooter safely tucked away behind a door at reception, awesome service from both Ozhire in Cairns and the hotel. The centre is a bit of a walk away but almost all the way you can walk along the Esplanade and the ocean. There is a Thai restaurant on site which does breakfast everyday and dinner 6 days a week except Sunday and a coffee shop just across the road which does beautiful coffee and breakfasts. Dinner at the Thai restaurant was delicious.

Not that we didn’t like it just that after a shower the floor of the bathroom stayed wet with nothing to pull the water to the drain unless we soaked the foot mat. We had to do that as otherwise the floor was slippery to go to the toilet in the same bathroom. We have suggested a squeegee or something with extendable handle to pull water away into the drain.

The room was spacious and contained a good sized bathroom. The bed was comfortable although as it is two beds joined to one, the centre join was quite hard. Having access to a BBQ was great, but only one key and facilities box was awkward when tow units wished to use. Great to have tour pickup and drop off at the motel.

The Restaurant was out of use for half our visit as a large group had it booked. It is a half an hour walk to the centre for attractions and dinner, which became quite a chore after a week's stay.

The apartment is in a great location one block back from the esplanade and just north of the hospital. We didn't have a car, and it was an easy walk to the Fun Ship Playground and Cairns parkrun (600m), Muddy's playground and cafe (about 1km) and then the Lagoon, Marina and major shops like Woolworths (2km). There's also a convenience store about 100m away, but it was fairly expensive for groceries. The two pools were great (not heated, so short swims only in August), and we ordered from the onsite Thai restaurant Finn Finn one night. The apartment had everything needed for self-catering, and included a washing machine. There was air-conditioning (living area and second bedroom) and ceiling fans in the main bedroom and living area, but we visited in cooler months and enjoyed the nice breeze through the balcony doors. The apartment was really clean, and the one small lift was always fast.

We didn't like the double bed in the main bedroom, as we had expected a queen, and the built in bedhead was also set up for a queen. The bathroom doesn't have an opening window, just a vent. Lights on the main access balcony stayed on all night, which gave a bit of light into the main bedroom. We didn't love the sliding doors to the second bedroom and the bathroom as they rattled when closed, and were far too much fun to open and close for a toddler!

The room was on the 3rd floor it had a king sized bed that was comfortable and TV and lounge with a large shower and decent size bathroom. There was a balcony with chairs and a table. There two pools and a BBQ area and a Thai restaurant on the ground floor opposite the reception area. Breakfast was available from the restaurant. It was a long walk into town where most of the main shopping and restaurant area was situated, however it was close to the waterfront park. The staff were friendly and very obliging.

The only problem for us was that it was a little too far from the main shopping area.

i have been a regular customer to this hotel and apartment, i have brought families with and also friends too. the location is just right, taxi service requests have also been assisted very well by the reception and food was also variety hence appreciated. all works well.

The room set up is very nice compared to few others that i slept in Cairns hence why i have been keep coming there. kitchen is also attracted me from not to go anywhere else. i like the kitchen set up too in the rooms/apartment.

Central location , a nice waterfront walk to town and reasonably close to the airport Good room sizes with external balconies - Also a bonus having the 2 swimming pools and restaurant on site as well as a secure car park

Nothing I disliked - but if your expecting a brand new complex with the latest fit out , then this is not for you It is an older complex , but very comfortable

Clean and tidy room apartment. Great size and a lovely balcony. Laundry facilities right outside my door. 30 mins walk to the shopping centre and also a 5 min walk to the promenade. All the staff I saw during my stay were super friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them. Allowed me to book an extra night at the same rate I’d paid before. Would highly recommend staying at this property.

Comfortable Clean Need more milk and maybe try a coffee with a bit more flavour Location is quite and only $20 taxi fare to city Restaurant breakfast was a little disappointing, the full breakfast could of had a little more on plate, plus the continental breakfast in comparison to other hotels was a little on the light side, be nice to have assortment of danishes, fruit salad rather than pieces of fruit, just a little more choice would be nice
