The location and view from our room were both excellent. We were also fortunate enough to see a fantastic fireworks display from the comfort of our room. The room was a great size as well. The buffet breakfast was also not too bad and pretty well priced (if you pay ahead it's $20 instead of $25). We didn't interact much with the staff, but they were friendly and helpful whenever we did.

The WiFi didn't work at all for us - although that wasn't such an issue for me as I just used my husbands data as a hotspot. The rooms are also not very sound proof, so I'd strongly advise getting some earplugs which really helped cut down on the noise (except for the evening of an Italian festival directly across the road, which kicked on until at least midnight!). Also a couch in the room (there was definitely space in our room) would have been nice.

Our experience at Pacific Hotel was truly delightful. I specifically selected this hotel based on its excellent value and prime location, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. The proximity to Cairns allowed us to easily explore the vibrant surroundings and fully indulge in everything the city had to offer.

While our stay at Pacific Hotel was a fantastic experience overall, I have to admit that the bathroom lighting left much to be desired. It was simply too bright and lacked that soft, flattering glow that makes you feel like a million bucks. Instead, it felt more like a clinical examination room, making every blemish and imperfection feel magnified. But hey, at least it ensured I didn't miss a single spot while getting ready!

Loved the location close to Esplanade, Marina and restaurants. Also enjoyed the view out to the Marina and wharf, and tree lined road. Room was fairly basic and we would have liked some crockery and cutlery as we stayed nine nights, however these were provided when requested.

Ac in building was cold. Breakfast finished far too early and no cafe facilities. Main gripe was that streaming was unavailable on tv for whole stay and we weren’t informed until we asked what was wrong.

The rooms were a little tired, but location was perfect, we asked for a pod coffee machine and a very lovely staff member brought one to us. The pool was an added bonus due to the heat.

The rooms were a little tired and the sliding door could bearly open on to the deck without force. There were giant ants crawling all over the deck.

We had 2 rooms on the 7th floor, one facing the wharf and casino, the the other one on the opposite side facing the reef eye and the city. We were treated to a great view of the fireworks (new year) from this room. the hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes walk to the wharf, lagoon pool and supermarket. the rooms were pretty spacious and had comfortable beds. the pool was well kept and a nice place to spend some time at. their breakfast (extra cost) was fresh, plentiful and value for money. We were pretty happy with our stay

The shower is a step in bath type. There are 3 laundry machines in 3 floors, but some were not working, and the ones that were were very old and not that good.

The best property in Cairns if you’re looking for the best location. It is centrally located and walking distance from all the major attractions like esplanade, casino, the dock and has all the restaurants nearby. Best part was the trees outside the hotel where hundreds of beautiful birds chirp all the time and is a melody to the ears. must stay at this hotel if you’re visiting Cairns.

No water bottles were given and pool was dirty when we went. abut I can ignore these things considering the pros of this hotel.

I had a Deluxe room on the 7th floor and the view was spectacular! Floor to ceiling glass on two entire walls. Beautiful big balcony. HUGE room. Views of the harbour, the park, the pool and the mountains. Could watch the sunrise and sunset from the bed. King size bed was SUPER comfy. Big bathroom. Totally recommend.

Renovations. Jackhammer going from 10am till 3pm. It rattled the walls. Made sure I was out during those hours. Otherwise the stay was perfect.

The location was perfect, and we managed to walk everyday along the foreshore which had an abundance of cafes and restaurants. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a premium room with no view. The room was a little small than we expected with no drawers which was a little inconvenient due to our week's stay. Next time we will get a bigger room if staying a week.

The room was fantastic. Great space with lovely sized bed. The bathroom was massive and extremely well equipped. Our room had patio doors which opened out onto the pool area. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were brilliant in maintaining the room and topping up the refreshments etc. Would definitely recommend. The breakfast was very nice and reasonably priced.

It would have been better if there was the option to have your laundry done for you instead of having to wait for the washer to finish which was on another floor. The bar closed at 8.30 pm which was a shame as I'm sure customers would enjoy a drink if they've been out. The food was average.

location right on the Esplanade, at the quieter end nearer the marina, but still just a few mins walk to restaurants and the lagoon. Rooms have been refurbished and look stylish. Pool good if you wanted to stay away from the busy lagoon. The bright lights at night of the new ferris wheel on the esplanade are a way off so don't bother you if you have a room on that side and it all shuts down at 10pm anyway. Staff were amazing, very helpful, place was fully booked but nothing too much trouble, cleaning was great and room spotless. Bed super comfy, had to work one day and wifi was fine to use for various online meetings, no drop out.. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Cairns, wonderful views from the balcony across the bay.

The room rates were higher than expected noting that much of the refurbishment was cosmetic ie the bath in the room hadn't been updated although the shower had been, perhaps understandable given that would have been a more costly and lengthy refurbishment on the back of losses from covid. I also stayed in peak school holiday season too so would have attracted a higher room rate anyway.
