Upon our arrival the team was so welcoming and helpful. It was the start of our honeymoon and they added a bottle of bubbles and a beautiful note on our bed congratulating us. They recommended a restaurant - although the in-house restaurant was what we chose, the food was not only generous, we could have shared 1 dish between us, but it was delicious as well. Secure parking was available as well which is always a bonus. This will definitely be our go to accomodation in Gladstone.

There was nothing to dislike. We loved our stay.

Everything was pretty smooth - nothing to report on.

The meal at the Oak and Vine was horrendous. I took a photo of how bad it was. 2/2 experiences now - January and April - when it comes to food, expect crap. I ordered Carbonara which looked like slop at a pig trough. Massive serving that looked like someone had run down the shop and got some Nanda spaghetti from the 711. The stuff over the top of it is supposed to be Parmesan cheese I think. The chicken that was also grabbed from the 711 was a packet chicken (I know because I used to serve this on lunches for the kids) and was cold though the spaghetti was hot. It was pretty disgusting, but I was tired and hungry and I ate it, but it was probably the worst carbonara I have ever seen.

The spacious room had a good sized fridge, cooking facilities, nice big comfy bed, plenty of room to put our bags and clothes, roomy shower, sofa area to relax and watch tv and balcony to sit on. Washing machine and dryer came in handy too. Undercover secure parking included. I will definitely stay again.

Pool was in the shade most of the time so was too cold to use. Cldn't get into our room on the morning of our last day after we went out for breakfast.

The rooms are very clean and spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed and pillows where comfortable which was great for a good nights sleep.

The Television in my room was not working, and could not be fixed, and maintenance staff do not work on weekends. I was offered another room, but none had the same view so was not worth it. The room actually two televisions and neither of them worked.

The room was actually a mini-suite, with sitting area, balcony, and kitchen -- and a washer and dryer (a godsend). Very attractive and comfortable, but the front desk staff was the crowning jewel of the stay. They welcomed us, provided all sorts of info, booked a taxi for the next morning, and then helped locate my cell phone lost in the taxi that brought us.

The restaurant had limited and not especially appetizing offerings.

The rooms were spacious and clean with the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in. I aircon was amazing, especially with a cyclone north and horrible humidity. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A perfect location to shops and cafes and a walk to the waterfront.

Dryer took a long time as its timer kept turning the machine off.

It was very comfortable, clean and had a great view. It was also in the centre of town so it made it much easier for us to get to our restaurant for dinner. The staff weren't overly friendly but they were polite and told us without asking where we could park our car for the night. Payment and checking/ in/out was easy

The staff could have been a little more friendly. They were very formal and although they gave us information about where to park they didn't seem like they would want to go out of their way to help you.

Arrived relatively late in the evening. Reception was open and very helpful. Booked taxi for next morning together with advice on onward journey. Room was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of added benefits such as a washing machine and dryer (had we needed them).

We arrived Sunday evening so all catering was closed. Having got off an international flight earlier that afternoon then flown to Gladstone we were a tad hungry by the time we arrived. Most of downtown Gladstone was closed at 9.00 pm.

As someone who lived in Gladstone for two years, recommended the Oaks to everyone who came to visit, but never stayed here myself I am so glad I made all of the recommendations when I did! I will be staying here every time I come back to visit as I was very happy with the room, service and hotel as a whole.

I was never able to get onto the wifi using my room and name, but this is only a minor thing that I know would have been fixed if I brought it up to reception. Honestly a non issue really.
