Focus Apartments

Fantastic view toward the north, the Spit and some of the river, the close proximity to the beach and shops and other transport. The elevators were very fast, and only 2 of the 3 working, (it matters when you're on the 29th floor.) Security was tight with Tag access for carpark, elevator going up and all the doors to get in.

The sliding aluminium doors were in desperate need of attention, because they were too the Balcony they got lots of use. The WIFI left a lot to be desired. The TV had Foxtel and that's all, It was setup so nothing else would work on it. Which was a big disappointment for me. I hate Foxtel. The cable to the TV was hanging from the entry point and ugly. The lounges were old and after a while became uncomfortable. The dining chairs had the underside of the seats disintegrating, falling off and blowing through the unit. The free high speed internet was very very patchy, I gave up most of the time. The second shower in the ensuite was just a dribble, and you needed to hug the wall to get wet.

Location, location! From the breathtaking views from the balconies. Watching the whales play right from the apartment was amazing. Walking distance to Cavil ave was so convenient we parked the car. Walk, tram is right behind. We didn’t have a problem with noise. Loved falling asleep with the sound of the roaring ocean

Found the appliances in apartment (level 13 54) toaster didn’t work kettle had a leak in it, no dustpan for the broom, happy to clean up after ourselves. If items are supplied. Exhausted fan in the kitchen was mouldy, smelled when turned on. Maybe some sort of exhaust fan n bathrooms to prevent mould/ fog mirrors up.4 Beds were terrible to sleep on.

Apartment was big and both bedrooms came with a balcony as well as the living room with views of the city and beach. Kitchen was fully equiped with everything a lived in kitchen would have. Two bathrooms! Also laundry!! Modern furnishings and comfortable! I went with my partner and 3 children and was perfect size to be together and have alone time.

If we had remained in the first dated and smelling apartment with window enclosed balconies i think it would have ruined our trip to the gold coast. No matter how cheap that apartment was offered it would not be worth it.

amazing location, 7 minutes from sea world, 5 minute walk to cavil avenue, 25 minute car ride to other theme parks. amazing helpful staff perfect for a family get away, all you could need whist on Holidays, pool and spa was enough to keep the kids cool after a busy day and have them chill out with a swim.

Room was tidy and well present, but when look closely it wasn’t cleaned properly. mould on tiles in bathroom, surfaces on benches, cupboards needed wiping, windows so dirty the last people had written their name in the grime and it was left there. cigarette left on balcony, hadn’t been dusted for quite sometime. throw/decorative pillows looked and felt dirty, we put them away as they felt dirty to use.

Fantastic location. Older building with great facilities. Very clean.

No aircon and no blankets and fat pillows. Need blankets as an option to use at least.

We absolutely loved the location and how close we were to the beach and to the main street. The price was great for a huge family to stay together. We will definitely stay here again.

The place could have been cleaner, especially the showers in the bathroom also the vacuum was broken so we couldn't really use it properly for the whole week. The included amounts of soap and toilet paper for one week was also a little unrealistic for 7 people as we only got two rolls of toilet paper and one tiny little soap square in each bathroom.

The location was fantastic close to trams and shops loved going for morning walks along the beach. My children loved the pool and spar and the basketball court and there was a lifeguard stand right across the road so it was safe for them to swim in the beach. We had a three bedroom unit which was quiet large bigger then we thought which had balconies off each room five in total which we all spent alot of time on watching the beach. Will definitely stay again when we come back couldn't recommend more.

good location, friendly staff, bright and airy apartment

the crockery and cutlery were insufficient. ( eg 3 mugs and 2 cups, 3 glasses) for 6 people. other facilities in need of maintenance or repair (e.g. paintwork on shower floor peeling. sliding doors to verandahs difficult to open, only on bed side light (the other was broken in the hall cupboard etc.) disappointing for otherwise a top grade apartment. management did rectify some of the deficiencies when contacted.

It was a great location with some lovely food establishments nearby

We initially weren't in the room I had paid 5k for. We didn't have air conditioning in the room (not all of them have air cons even though it's on the Gold Coast and is ESSENTIAL up there). Eventually got the room I had paid for, but only main bedroom and lounge had air cons. Also wanted $210 for a portacot for our daughter even though there was nothing saying I had to pay.

Great venue, very private especially from other guests. Apartment was a great size, we had so much space and ideally located right across the road from the beach. In walking distance to main strip and attractions. Highly recommend for groups and especially families with kids. Kids loved the pool, basketball court and the BBQ area.

No pool towels were provided and only supplied 1 towel per person and we were constantly washing and drying towels throughout our stay as kids would dry off at the pool and come back to shower with wet towels. If I had known I would of packed pool/beach towels from Sydney. Ironing board was broken and not able to contact front desk as phone in room wasn't working. Went down to front desk and it was closed so was unable to iron clothes for a 21st.
