The view of the sea is not bad, and the suite comes with its own kitchen and kitchenware, so you can cook and eat by yourself.

There were a total of four pillows on the bed, two of which were stinky, like they had been used for a long time without being washed, and were stained with a very bad odor of sweat. Also, there is no housekeeping during your stay, so remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as well as enough shampoo, body gel, etc.

Great location right on the beach and close to cafes and restaurants. Rooms were clean and comfy.

Check in took a long time and no on-site parking available

The location was excellent right across from the beach and walking distance to most places. The bed was so comfy. Room was soundproof, pools and view amazing! The washing machine and dryer was also handy as we stayed there for a week.

Not being able to check in til 3pm felt like a long wait for us, but the hotel was able to hold our bags while room getting ready. Room didn't get daily cleaned/topped up unless you ask/request - which is fine but just good for others to be aware off. We noticed the hotel was a hotspot with younger crowd for parties during weekend and quieter with families during the week.

Everything was excellent and our room was very good with a beautiful view

I spent half hour trying to look for a car park infront of hotel as the under ground parking was full. I think they need to invest in free car parking for their own hotel.

The views were spectacular - over the water and over the city of Surfers! The location was central to shopping districts, markets, and plenty of restaurants and eateries. The Castaway Cafe downstairs have the BEST coffee, and the cheese and ham croissants were the most delicious we've had. Parking on-site was a breeze & very safe and secure. The room itself was exceptionally clean, and the amenities, including the washer and dryer and kitchenette, were very handy. The bed was comfortable, and we loved the block out curtains - although the temptation to sleep with them open to see out over the city lights was too good to refuse. Staff were helpful, friendly, and only added to the smooth check-in and out process. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from us. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

regular tv channels would have been nice, the casting feature is great, but sometimes you just want to turn the tv on!

We loved our ocean view, the room was much fancier and modern than we expected. Cleanliness was incredible and we loved our stay. Bed was super comfy and shower and bathroom was amazing.

We had our room cleaned twice during our stay and both times the staff took things we were using like our tea towel and boxes that they probably assumed were rubbish. We were also told to leave our room when house keeping came after telling them that we were happy not to have house keeping that day. They insisted and told us to leave our room for 20 minutes so we went and sat by the pool… during our fire evacuation during our stay as well the loudspeakers were not working properly in our room and we couldn’t hear instructions clearly which was a bit of a fright. Everything apart from that experience was wonderful. Facilities were superb and check in and check out was easy.

Meriton is a very appealing property. Being new this is expected but I was ever so happy with the ambiance and views from my apartment. everything was clean and tidy and all that was needed for a stay. The staff were always very helpful and obliging. Amenities could always be replaced if needed. the service from Guest services was quick and attentive when needed. The restaurants are super. The property is only a short walk from everything and directly across the road from the beach with a balcony to sit on to enjoy the view.

I cannot actually say anything negative about the property. perhaps the only thing would be is the size of the cafe on the ground floor. it is open from 6am and can get quite crowded as the tables are close together. it does drift out into the street. poor staff need to push between waiting customers to deliver the food. a better way to line up would be good.

Security, views, decor, & design.

The view was blocked due to construction. The weight room could be better. If the gym is open 24hrs why can’t the indoor pool/jacuzzi be 24hrs? The outdoor pool was unavailable. :/ I cooked a bit and filled the trash bin quickly. I didn’t know a place to dispose of the trash to free up space. The tv cast option is a bit annoying. I couldn’t run most apps. Wish there was room service for food, and drinks!

The hotel was immaculate. The room was beautiful and spacious with lovely views of the city and beach. The enclosed verandah was fantastic with floor to ceiling windows, it was just beautiful to sit there with a cuppa. The bed was really large & comfortable, pillows were great & it was no hassle to get extra pillows. The room is completely soundproof and located away from other rooms. We stayed on level 9 and all the rooms appeared to be quite a distance from each other. It has a full kitchen and laundry, so would be great if needed. The indoor pool was massive. The spa was heaven. The location is fantastic, directly across the road from the beach and a short walk to Cavill ave. It was so easy to get around, ubers were there within a few minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel for comfort and location. I would definately stay here again.

We don't do hotels and didnt know that you needed to place your key card in the slot near your door to work the aircon, so the room was quite hot for a couple of days until i ask reception how to adjust the aircon. We felt so silly but really if you dont know, there was no instructions anywhere about this. But really that was it, we were extremely happy with our stay.
