Meriton Suites Southport

Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. Parking was easy to find thanks to the great instructions, and we were pleasantly surprised to be given a room on level 53 (thanks Michael), one of the uppermost levels. The views were absolutely stunning both from the living room and from the bedrooms and everything was super clean. The Meriton Staycast was a handy feature as it allowed us to watch a FIFA match that wasn't shown on normal TV channels. Proximity to shopping centre (Woolworths as part of the precinct) and restaurants was a bonus. Having a TV in every room was also great and there was even a media room, which was cool. We also loved the strong shower water pressure. We wish we stayed for more than one night to have time to enjoy the included facilities more (i.e. spa, sauna). We went whale watching the next morning, and the close proximity to the departure point was handy!

The pillows affected our sleep as they were too high. An improvement could be providing both high pillows and shorter pillows to cater for different preferences.

View: the view from the balcony is stunning. Location: light rail very close to the property,easy to get around. If you are tourists,don't forget to buy Go explore card at the airport, or you have to go to Broadbeach south to purchase one. Supermarket , good coffee shop and nice Thai restaurant just around the corner. Facilities: beautiful swimming pool. They provided everything you need for a short stay. Very helpful staffs

Quite sure I am coming back to this property so i wish the property could keep the standard and do it better. One thing I would like to mention is the wash basin. Water goes down very slowly,which means it may need a thoroughly clean. And also the drain in the bath may need some insecticide to stop drain fly.

The view of the room has be one of the bests that we have rented ever.

The cleaning of the room was supposed to be scheduled because of COVID. We did the schedule on time but the front desk staff forgot to schedule it. When we asked again the person who cleaned the room left behind some garbage and did not did a proper work. Finally one day befor returning the room a proper cleaning was performed.

I love a firm bed, but the bed mattress in 4001 was EXTREMELY hard and I woke up constantly each night, each time I rolled over in my sleep, due to the too hard mattress. Last September, in another apartment (mini ocean suite) the bed was firm but nowhere near the hardness of the bed I had in 4001 this stay. Sadly, I lost a lot of sleep and gained very sore back muscles during my stay. Tried putting my own soft travel blanket under the sheets but nothing helped, sadly.

From the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we left, this hotel was fantastic. The location was handy, with a supermarket and cafes close by. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was impeccable and exactly what I needed as I was travelling with a small child - we had a lounge area, full kitchen, laundry and bedroom. The room was just lovely and the view was gorgeous. Michael checked me in and he was beyond kind and welcoming. It really set the tone for our stay. I will stay at this hotel time and time again - it is a great value, stylish hotel with immaculate service.

The hotel itself doesnt have its own cafe or restaurant but I am sure that will come in time. There are a number of cafes on the street level. There was nothing I did not like.

The view is amazing, from the Hinterland to the ocean. The size of the room is more than enough for two people with a balcony where smoking is allowed. The location is great, with multiple restaurants around. Easy to park our car for the night, it is free from 5pm to 9am.

I like everything about this hotel. Maybe if you stay for a couple of days, you might have to pay for the parking if you come by car. There is no free parking during the day in the streets around.

The meriton never disappoints! We had the most amazing views! Exceptional amenities and the location is fantastic! We were able to walk out the door and just a few meters down the road were cafes, restaurants and shops! This is my new favourite place to stay! I can't wait to come back here again to relax and have fun! I would highly recommend coming here to family and friends weather it's a group of friends a family or a couple! It perfect for everyone! The hotel room was amazing! It was so clean! And the bed was extremely comfortable! It was amazing having access to the gym, pool, sauna any time you want! When staying in the Gold Coast I won't be staying anywhere else but here!!!

Everything...the view on the 48th floor was amazing! The room had everything you need. Bed was comfy. There's a woolworths below the building. Across the road is the light rail one way takes you all the way to Broadbeach or the otherway all the way to Helensvale connect there for theme parks. So easy to get around. Easy walk to the ferry too hop on this go across to Seaworld. We loved everything about our stay here. Definitely coming back here!

Everything. From check-in to check-out the process was totally painless. The room was absolutely spotless as was the foyer of the hotel, the lifts and other amenities. We booked a one bedroom suite with a hinterland which was a bargain ay $150 a night. It was even more of a bargain as the suite faced north so actually half of our view was over the Broadwater. There was a separate lounge / dining / kitchen area and the bed was uber-comfy with its own flatscreen. The staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. It is a great location as you are 100m from the light rail ad surrounded by restaurants with a Woolworths and a bottle shop adjacent to the hotel for supplies. We dined in a small BYO Thai restaurant across the road and the food was excellent so give Mr Thai a go. Whilst we didn't use the pool and spa they both looked very clean. There is an indoor pool as well as an outdoor one and both can be sued up to 9 or 10 at night. Will definitely stay here again and suggest that you do.
