Size of the room. We got the end room so it was lovely and quiet. Ample parking. Clean and comfortable. The shower size (over a bath) was lovely.

The deodoriser used in the room was exceptionally strong - to the extent that my whole bag reeked of it when I returned home. It was weird that we went to parkrun and then breakfast and they called us at 8:30am (while we were still out) to find out if we were checking out (check out isn’t until 10!) Couldn’t get the spa to work in the bath.

Stopped overnight at Cara Motel to break up my trip home, and it was such a cosy and comfortable room! The lovely lady at reception was so welcoming, and everything felt clean and homely! Aircon was fantastic! Bathroom was immaculate, and bed felt like a cloud! Great central location, with parking right at your doorstep. Also impressed by the well maintained fishtank outside the main entrance! Highly recommend staying here!

Couldn't really fault it, except that there was no knife/ fork or plate in my room for eating purposes.

The property was spotlessly clean, tidy and welcoming. Even though it is on a main street opposite the hospital, it is very quiet and relaxing. Monica, the manager, went out of her way to check us in early. We (5 adults) were there for a work function and will now make the Cara Motel our go to accommodation every time we are in Maryborough. Lovely little motel I found last night when I was at my wits end trying to find anywhere on a dark night in a place where all the roads are under repair and the cars behind me are beeping for me to get out of their way and there are no street lights or road signs and Google Maps isn't working and there is no internet signal. Thank you to owner Emery and his lovely wife whose name I don't know and his fierce (not) guard-poodle Bella who alerted them to the fact that I'd fallen through their door exhausted having beaten my booking.com notification to them placed via a weak wifi signal I picked up at a nearby filling station. They gave me their last room and a jug of milk to make a cup of tea. The room was quiet, spacious and spotless with cosy decor and a well stocked kitchenette and mini bar. I needed and had a really good night's sleep. Can't recommend it enough. Nice people make all the difference

I was late arriving, 9pm, and hungry but no food anywhere nearby at that time or I'd have given Cara a full 10 out of 10. Would like to have seen a 3 course dinner waiting the mini bar (am I being too demanding? Yes!)

This was an excellent place to stay. Very close to everything and very well appointed. Everything that we needed was there and anything further we required was provided. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the room was serviced every single day!! That is practically unheard of! Very comfortable beds, water was hot …everything was perfect! I would highly recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Maryborough

There were several really nice touches to the room. It is in a great location with a coffee shop and corner store/takeaway on either side and the Hospital across the road. The carpark is small, 4WD or car only, would not recommend driving in with trailer. The both sides of the road out front have large temporary parking areas, for Hospital and shop patrons so super easy for friends/family/Uber pick up, definitely would not recommend Taxi or Bus stop across the road if local transport required.

The building is dated, however everything is neat, clean and tidy. A full length mirror on the back of cupboard door would be a nice addition.

It was very clean and the room and bathroom were in a good condition. The room was light and welcoming. The bathroom was a good size with a modern shower and sink and various toiletries were provided. The hosts were friendly. There were also laundry facilities which the guests can use during certain hours (not included in the price). It was very good value for money.

Personally, I prefer to have a sink in the kitchen/kitchenette but the only sink was the one in the bathroom.

Being across from the hospital you may hear a few sirens but not an excessive amount. rooms are quite spacious. The Owners are so sweet. this was our second time staying there. Nice and close to local shops

Milk not provided already in rooms- I think you could ask the owners for some (pretty sure thats what we did last time) but we just purchased our own milk this time. Which isnt a big deal or ruin the experience at all :)

Didnt have to make it twice to get a cup! Drinks n snacks in fridge to purchase  Even a little jar of mints provided on bedside table  Room setup as booked. Requested access for disability.  Walk in shower main requirement.  Grab rail available in shower  All the “extras” such as shampoo conditioner shaving foam body lotion provided Additional points for supplying air fresh spray at the toilet.  “Real” bathmat which was good and not regularly provided elsewhere.  With an anti slip mat for the shower as well  Easy to access location. Ground level with own parking  Hospital cafe at driveway entry was a welcome bonus. Hot and cold food available to purchase. Coffee drinks n snacks etc

If had a grab rail for the toilet would have given a 10/10 rating

The bathroom was renovated, the staff were lovely. The room had heating which was needed as it was a very cold night. Fresh milk for a cup of tea. The garden and water feature near reception was lovely. I loved the little shower cap packs.

The old fashioned bedspreads and board around the lights at the bed head. it was hard to sit up in bed without your head hitting the board as this was uncomfortable and is very old fashioned.The internal older style brick would look smart and more fashionable with white paint. It would be good to have a second towel rail above the existing towel rail in the bathroom.
