The Manager, Matthew was very friendly and helpful. The Motel is older style, maintained well. There was a good shower with plenty of hot water and good air con.

Maintenance was being carried out on the wifi which effected our TV reception right at prime time which was a bit disappointing ( a 1 off) and smoking laws in NSW for Motels and BnB's require smoking to be only off the property. Apparently in Qld you can smoke outside the room, which a few people did and the smell of smoke wafted into our room during the night. ( Not the Motels fault) Otherwise a comfortable stay.

Mineral Sands Motel is within easy walking distance to fast food outlets, Aldi, Station Square shopping centre and Bunnings, to name a few. Although it's situated on one of the main streets, we didn't hear any traffic during our stay. The room had cutlery and crockery which is unusual for a motel, but was definitely appreciated by us. There was plenty of bench space. The bed was comfortable and there was a lounge chair in the room.

The legs of the chairs are rather thin and make it difficult to move the chair backwards when someone is trying to get up off the chair as the feet dig into the carpet due to being small. My partner has a few health issues which prevent him from being able to sleep right through the night and the lounge chair was a bonus, however it was a bit low for someone with mobility issues- I do understand though, that the room was not listed as a room for the disabled.

The lady at reception was very friendly. She contacted us prior to our arrival to ensure that she would be there to greet us when we eventually arrived. She gave us some fruit to eat when we arrived and showed us how to use the washer and drier in the laundry. We liked the balcony with table and chairs that were available for our use. The motel was within walking distance of the town and shops.

There was some traffic noise but this was a minor concern.

The place was clean and roomy and had everything that we needed for our stay.

The beds were very hard. Everything was turned off, including the fridge so it took us a little while to work out that we had to go around and turn all the power points on to make things work. Plus there was no remote for the second TV

Staff were accommodating for us. We turned up with a van, and pets. There were construction crew staff staying there also who had taken up the carpark, so staff had to try and help us work around this at 9pm at night. He was great. Much appreciated!

Lovely room. Was offered a better bed lay out on arrival Rooms great Nice and quiet. Lady called to say we had left things. We will be back. Thankyou.

Clean solid older motel in excellent condition. Fairly close to town centre. Good parking area, easy entry and exit. Great friendly staff.

Small amount of traffic noise but not too bad.

Good location. Simple check in and check out process. Clean tidy room.

The party in the room close to me. But I managed to sleep just fine.

There was a little traffic noise, but the air conditioner was modern and effective, so the room was quieter with the windows shut.
