I love being able to listen to the sound of the sea when you are going to sleep in a very comfortable bed. Everything is within walking distance from the accommodation, and you just have to walk over the road and were on the beach. It was lovely to sleep in and wander down for an amazing breakfast each morning. The very helpful staff made it such a relaxing mini-break. The barman delivered mojitos to our pool side table and it was a long way to walk! We had no problems securing a late checkout from Nicole from reception. Nothing was too much trouble.

No fault of the accommodation, but the back packers were having a loud party till the early hours across the road in the park on Friday night, but we were lucky that the sea was making a lot of lovely noise that helped drown them out as it was blowing 30-40 knots!

Quiet and peaceful without kids running around. Friendly and helpful staff, room was clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed. Location was fantastic - right on the beach and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as the wharf. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch looking out over the beach. Hot breakfasts were good value at only $10 extra and gluten free bread with the continental breakfast was provided free on request. Great food and drinks at the restaurant for dinner.

No real dramas. Husband wasn't super impressed with the continental breakfast but it was free so I wasn't complaining. Coffee was a bit overpriced - $7.50 for a mug on specialty milk, and I received a flat white rather than a cappuccino as ordered. (If you're not going to write it down, make sure you can remember it 🙂)

We were delighted with the hotel and our room. The welcome was warm, we were allowed to check in early and were offered a complimentary transfer for our travel on departure. The location is superb. Breakfast is very good. We will rebook this hotel if we return to Port Douglas.

Generally everything was excellent. The only minus during our stay was that one day the hotel was short staffed so the bar and restaurant weren't open during the day which was inconvenient (had to walk into town to get drinks and lunch).

This place was fantastic! The location was above and beyond - direct access to beach and a quick walk to all the shops and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and more then happy to help out. The ocean view room was exactly that and was super comfy with great aircon, kitchenette and huge bed. Would definitely recommend!

Would have liked some more variety for the included breakfast and some days they didn’t stock everything. But in saying that, the staff were so attentive with everything and what was available was lovely.

should be a location for smokers, my wife is a smoker and she had to go out of hotel premises to have one, we weren’t aware at time of booking not sure if it’s a rule in the description of hotel or not, this is the only thing stopping me giving this hotel a 10/10

Nice peaceful location opposite the beach. Was also close to walk into town. The room was comfortable with great air con in the humid weather. Enjoyed the fact that it was an adults only property!!!!

Were located in a second floor room; don't know what the occupants above were up..... lots of furniture being moved around at 1 or 2AM. Then thumping footsteps from 6AM in the morning. Spoilt the serenity some what.

Excellent hotel, comfortable and very well located. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely to be able to sit on the balcony or in the dining area and look out over Fourmile Beach. Our second stay at the Peninsula.

This is not really a criticism given the general and significant staff shortages throughout Port Douglas at this time, but it would be good if drink/snack services were available in the hotel throughout the day. There are options close by however.

Nothing really to mention..

Amazing location, we could watch sunrise and hear the waves crashing on the shore. A wonderful getaway for two people.

We couldn't retrieve our washing from the washing machine because the door malfunctioned. A maintenance person attended and it took him a while to retrieve our washing. Reception mentioned that this happens regularly.

This modern, beachfront hotel was just the ticket for visiting the cute little resort of Port Douglas and Four-Mile Beach. Steps away from everything, the facilities were contemporary, clean and convenient.

The pool was great - it had a waterfall and many levels and features - but it is probably unsuitable for people with mobility issues.
