Everything about Peppers Port Douglas is just wonderful, had an amazing time and will 100% be back!! We got an upgrade on our room which was so so beautiful. The facilities and hotel location are perfect for families travelling with children, the staff from reception, restaurant to cleaning staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Was a great place to relax, and also use as a base to travel to places like the Daintree and Mossman. Also great that the room was self contained for those lazy days easy days you have everything you need to stay in also. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful stay. Outstanding. Highly recommended :)

The breakfast options were maybe a little too limited, & not the usual buffet style like at Peppers Palm Cove - but was still a lovely meal.

July 2023

We had a room overlooking the pool which was lovely. We were able to listen to the live music on a Monday night from our balcony and enjoy a spa on our balcony after a day at the beach. Peppers is in a great location, walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and modern.

We had an odour issue in our room when we first checked in. The staff were very good and sent housekeeping to assess the situation straight away. The problem was in the air conditioner, it was emitting a mouldy odour. They agreed to clean the air conditioner filter for us daily throughout our stay. As the weather was mild, we simply turned the air conditioner off for the duration of our stay (in July), however the air conditioner would be essential in hotter months. We booked the cheapest room which didn't have cooking facilities, however we had booked restaurants for most nights and were able to stock the fridge with breakfast items, so we didn't miss the kitchen. I imagine if you were travelling with a family it would be great to have kitchen facilities for self-catering.

Pool was excellent, and we loved the big balcony with the BBQ, so if we were tired or just relaxing we could throw on a couple of steaks, open a bottle of wine and not even bother to put shoes on! The pool is excellent, and maintained daily, so nice and fresh. We had the penthouse suite so very spacious and relaxing, with everything you could need for a relaxing break. Access to the beach, and the restaurants was excellent. Parking was provided (very snug), room was well serviced. Good quality shampoos and conditioner also appreciated, as we travel light. Good beds and nice pillows. Our room overlooked the pool so easy and pleasant to sit on the balcony late into the night or early in the morning. 2 minute walk to the beach. Good value cocktails on Monday nights, and the music and food quite enjoyable at the restaurant by the pool.

Not much, it was a great stay. Would have appreciated more coffee being supplied without having to chase, but after a couple of days we just bought our own. perhaps a Water filter for drinking water.

The room was small but beautiful and the private hot tub was a nice touch. The restaurant was convenient and breakfasts were mostly quick and tasty.

we were on the beach side of the pool. One set of parents brought their tired 2-3 year old to the pool and he threw a fit. The screaming went on for nearly an hour. Everyone else left the pool are. Even with our door closed and locked we were still subjected to the child’s unhappiness. The screams started at 9 AM again the next morning so we checked out early.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The entrance was attractive with the view to the pool area

I was extremely disappointed with the outlook from the room, the view was overlooking the camping ground next door. I was anticipating sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine in the evening - BUT seeing campervan roofs, washing on the line, the laundry room ect did not meet my expectations. People need to be informed that room 233 does not have a pleasant outlook

great location to the main area of port Douglas, can walk to restaurants and the beach and the breakfast was great to. actually the food at the restaurant was all very good, we had dinner there one night and was great. The pool of course

the only thing I can think of and it’s not the properties fault so there seemed to be a lot of young kids in the pool like to the point where we thought there was a function on for young and expecting mothers or something. it wasn’t school holidays, I don’t know, maybe I was expecting and more of an adults 5star sort of thing. To all the mothers, amazing job

The room was excellent, staff took my requests on board when assigning room - heavily pregnant and was near lift to make it easier to access. The bed and pillows and were amazingly comfortable, we slept so well the whole time. Resort was relaxing and very well appointed, the pool was perfect. Mocktails at the poolside bar were nice and breakfast was very good. Staff were very helpful and lovely.

A few more shade umbrellas over sunloungers would be good as there were lots of families and young kids around but lacked solid shade, only palm trees. Underground parking area and lift were extremely humid and stuffy it felt claustrophobic. Could do with a fan or movement of air.

Breakfast menu was quite limited and the pricing is a bit all over the shop. i.e., $20 for a “main” size of waffles but literally one waffle (suitable for a 7yr old) and my 11 yr old was having two of them because she was hungry, that wasn’t very cool Bar menu for around the pool & drinks was amazing though.

The gardens were fertilised during our stay so you couldn’t walk past without gagging and the smell was everywhere. I totally appreciate there is probably no good time to do this though so not sure how it could be addressed to be honest. The gardens around the pool are lush and stunning so it’s a catch-22 situation.

Pool, restaurant, open space

There was no system for beach chairs at the pool and guest popped towells down to reserve chairs from 8am and by the time you got to the pool at 9am all chairs were reserved with 'towells.' on the back of chairs ( no people) Although there are miniature and really small signs at the bottom of some (not all) chairs, that state one must give these up after half hour of no usage, they are so small and hidden away no one pays attention. The resort ( not sure what) needs a better system. We just started to act like'everyone else' after day 3 and got there at 8am - which isn't right

Great location, lovely staff, great pool area and we loved the food at the restaurant. A great resort to go to with kids, one block from the beach and the main strip of port Douglas.

Not much! The only things would be to have a baby change table in the bathroom of the restaurant and perhaps a few new or different items on the menu at breakfast. If you’re there more than a few nights (we stayed for 5) it gets a little repetitive.
