Quest Townsville on Eyre

Spacious accommodation. Plenty of room. All the utensils that we needed were provided in the room with a good sized fridge. Access to the property was easy with plenty of car parking spaces.

A clothes airer would have been handy for the items that couldn't be tumble dried. More toiletries could've been provided on Friday as the rooms are not serviced over the weekend, however reception informed me on Monday that I could've asked for more supplies at reception.

I was initially booked in for one week but extended to 2 weeks. Loved the one bedroom apartment. Their Housekeeping service was fantastic. Coles is across the street. So close to restaurants, the Strand, and more. Secure, easy parking. Great rooms and facilities and staff. Can’t fault it.

Requested and was given a quiet, top-floor room for my one-week stay. Reception and checkout were efficient and pleasant. Housekeeping was consistently good. The property was clean, and furnishings were relatively new-looking. The bed was comfortable, the shower was strong, the aircon was quick to cool and easily adjustable. Parking was secure and provided easy access to a main road. A grocery store and fast food are a two-minute walk across the street. It was the best hotel stay I've enjoyed in recent memory, and I'd give it eleven stars if I could.

I noticed no weak points at this property.

the fold-out sofa was the most uncomfortable 'bed' i've ever tried to sleep on. Very disappointing Requested an ocean-front room when booked 6mths ago, but was allocated a room at the back of the property with no views

The location for us was ideal. The North Ward shopping centre was opposite as well as fast foods, small cafes, newsagent. The secure parking was very good and upon arrival there was a designated lane off busy Eyre Street so you could safely enter the parking. At the gate before checking in you pressed a call button and reception opened the gate for you. The Quest is 2 blocks from The Strand, The SeaView Hotel close by and 20 minute walk to the Magnetic Island Passenger Ferry.

Our bathroom had the shower over the bath. It was quite a big bath and for anyone with slight mobility problems this is not a good thing. Our balcony overlooked the busy Eyre Street so is noisy but for us it didn't matter - enjoyed being able to see the water and people.

Location was within walking distance of the strand with numerous dining choices for every meal of the day. It was secure and the option of car lock up was great. There was easy access to the car park and reception area when moving from building to outside. The bed was comfortable and the small kitchenette was perfect.

There was a slight musty smell in our room but access to open window a small bit relieved it somewhat. The shower would overflow a bit so had to mop up floor in bathroom after showers.

Hotel is in a great location close to the Strand, shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Security is great, hotel and room is well maintain so it is very clean and fresh. Plenty of of secure parking.

Only disappointing part is the showers. Water from the shower were running out of the shower into the bathroom floor because the shower screen and floor were not splash proof. This cause the bath area and the bath mat been constantly wet which is a slip hazard. Our feet were always wet when we walk out of the bathroom. We were there over the weekend so the rooms did not get services over the 2 days, to get extra towels or toiletries you had to go to reception.

Easy late check in with good communication from the front desk team, the location in respect to the Strand was great - 5 mins walk to the sea. The North Ward shopping mall across then street had everything you needed. Bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette had all the basic items that you need. Car park was large and easy to use

Be mindful what room you book as whilst there is a window it over looked the opposite wing of the hotel so just a concrete wall and and anther window to look at

Very well sited but a short walk away from both the main CBD and the shoreline (The Strand) which both offer nice shops and pkenty of restuarants. Room exceptionally comfortable and well equpeed and staff wonderful if you need anything else. I just love Quest and stay whenever that is an option.

Great location. I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with balcony (balcony wasn't used in the end). The oven, stove full fridge etc and the aircon meant I could cook without melting! Wifi was very reliable. I extended my stay and part of that decision was the proximity to groceries, cafes and Strand walks (Coles is over the road). Everything was clean and the quiet aircon was blissful. The pool did its job- not somewhere to lounge around but in summer all you need is a dip and to float awhile. Staff were always friendly, a big thank you to reception and housekeeping team :-)
