I was given one of the newly finished rooms. The bathroom was excellent. All brand new and well thought out and appointed. The bed was also new, slightly lower, making it easier to sit on for socks and shoes. The carpet was new. The furniture and fittings were all new, minimalist design, almost Scandinavian looking room. The walls were freshly painted with a nice muted texture. The windows were double glazed with internal Venetians. There was a new fridge and microwave, and they had all the crockery and cutlery I expected. The decor inside and out looks stylish and quite attractive. Overall, after being a customer who has stayed at the Jasper several times a year for 20 years, I am very impressed with the upgrade.

No concerns. I'm very impressed with the upgrades. I think they may upgrade their front doors as there remains a gap letting in air and light. I expect that the prices will rise as there was a small increase this week over the previous week. If they can remain within my budget, I will enjoy continuing to stay at the Jasper for my regular trips to and through Adelaide.

It has been good to be able to stay during the rebuilding of the Jasper. The shower's are now working well and the refurbishment of all the rooms are looking very nice. They have done a lot of work to upgrade their rooms. I have been staying there regularly for 20 years because of the location and price. Hopefully the price will not increase too much.

This trip there were no problems. There are still a few things to fix, such as cupboards and carpets. If the standard of the refit so far is an indication, I expect The Jasper will again be a charming and very attractive place to stay in a great location for everyone.

The Jasper are upgrading all their rooms and have only a few available so I was happy to be able to stay there again.

The brand new bathrooms are nice. However, the showers are a problem. The shower heads are way too low, and the 'tap' on off hot cold is one piece and very hard to adjust to a comfortable temperature. At that temperature the water pressure is very high, full pressure. Hence a lot of hot water and the new floor drain doesn't work well enough. The bathroom floods across to the toilet and does not have another drain. It was going to flood into the bedroom and I had to use the towels to stop it. The new shower fittings are going to be a big problem for guests. At least I have experience from European shower fittings so I could have a shower until it flooded. They need to completely change the fittings.

We were in town for 3 nights/2.5 days, mainly to participate in an event in an adjacent suburb. The location was ideal, being only a few minutes from the event venue, take-away food vendors, and a great variety of other, quality eateries. Our needs were for a convenient, comfortable, quiet place to sleep, shower, and store our gear for the duration, and Jasper provided perfectly. Check-in after Reception hours was easy and arranged clearly and simply beforehand by our hosts. Check-out was similarly smooth and simple. We weren't looking for luxury, or accommodation "bells and whistles", and Jasper was ideal and great value at its price point.

We had a neighbour guest who was a smoker and lingered outside for a while, with some smoke coming in around the closed door. We switched on the air conditioner to create some positive pressure, and the smokiness cleared promptly.

Have stayed several times, but this time found the bathroom shower curtain etc was rather grubby looking and the fluoro light over the single bed didn’t work properly, just flickered. As the office wasn’t attended I didn’t report the light at the time. The room is somewhat “tired”. The beds were clean and good. I am booked in for a 3 night stay, with my sister coming for one night too, next month, so hope I can report that everything is 100% as previous stays have been.

We have stayed at Jasper Motel before. Pleasantly surprised to find that our room this time had been refurbished. It was excellent value for money, very comfortable and well done. We stay at Jasper because its close to the city and the price is modest. We will return at our very next visit to the City. I commend it to anyone seeking a modestly priced motel which offers excellent value for money.

No complaints

I have been staying at the Jasper over the past 20 years under 2 different owners and because it has always been great value for money. I like the location, and the cost is generally competitive and reasonable. When there has been a problem, the manager fixed it straight away. The reliable facilities, like the bed, the shower, a good refrigerator, tea coffee, and a microwave, all help to seal the deal.

The other guests were noisy until around 0100. The air conditioning had no remote control, and I had to stand on a chair to start and adjust it.

Jasper has become our 'go to' motel when we visit Adelaide. It's modest in price and it is indeed an older property but the place is well run, clean & well maintained. Occasionally we stay elsewhere when the need occurs but for us the Jasper is about as good as it gets in a modest, 2+ star property. Always clean & comfortable. Extremely well located and very quiet. There are more luxurious places but that means little when the Jasper's performance over the years has matched or exceeded expectation. The family who run the place are ever willing to assist and are always cheerful. It's nice to got back to.
