This hostel is great! Mo is so accommodating and friendly, making everyone instantly feel welcome. He is also hilarious! And very helpful. He cleaned multiple times daily, which we saw. But of course, there are many people and it will become messy again (I saw him clean the whole kitchen floor only for a guest to drop tomato sauce on it one minute later and not pick it up etc). Treat the place like it would be your own home and pick up your things :D We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. The guests seemed friendly and if we stayed longer I am sure we'd make friends!

We liked the hostel.

The manager Mo is excelent! Very nice, attentive, helpful. The house in general is cozy and welcoming. The room was clean and quiet. Fortunatelly I could get the bottom of the bunk, and there was only one to two more girls in the room. Showers are separated by sex and there is nice hot water. There were some available shampoo and bodywash, but I think they were kinda donation from previous guests. There was hair dryer. Toilets always clean as well. The living room is big and comfy. Kitchen is like hostel's kitchen, but clean and organised as much as it is possible. I did not do the laundry, so I cannot rate it. Mo allowed me to store my big backpack after checkout until the bus time. The location is wonderful, pretty close to the city. Actually Hobart is quite small, so everything can be done on foot.

Mo goes above and beyond for the comfort of the guest and is very welcoming. Heaters in the room are very helpful in the winter and Mo even went out of his way to put an extra little heater when I was in the common area alone and asked if I wanted it closer to me. The way he takes care of the plants in the living room is another super cute detail that adds a home like feeling to the place. The location is perfect as it was walking distance to the center as well as the Skybus to/from airport and very quiet. The common area feels like a home living room and the kitchen is well equipped although it feels a bit small when there are a few people in there simultaneously but it wasn’t always full. It is also well maintained as there was housekeeping on a daily basis.

Disliked NOTHING. Love this place and Mo is just lovely!

The manager, Mo, was really helpful, friendly, and kind. He connects with his guests and makes them feel comfortable and at home.

On my 2nd night, a man arrived at 1AM and took a bed in our all female room. He apparently had a feminine name (Andrea), so our host, Mo, accepted his booking. The guy was reluctant to leave our room, and he was very irritated at our request for him to leave. I reported the issue to Mo and he arrived immediately in the middle of the night to find a new room so that poor guy had a place to sleep for the night. Found out later there were a lot of flight delays at Hobart that evening. This is largely a failure for booking.com to not verify identity and gender before allowing people to reserve all female / male rooms. I stayed only 2 nights of the 6.

From the check-in I was impressed with the host/owner, Mo. He was really friendly and helpful and made you feel right at home straight away. The double room was really clean and comfortable and well above expectations for a hostel. A nice homey social area where everyone tended to congregate too. I didn't use the kitchen but it looked pretty functional.

Only a slight complaint, and it doesn't really bear too much on my overall excellent experience at the hostel. There was an occasional waft of sewerage coming in through my window. Depended on the wind direction I think! Plus some smokers were outside the window at times and their smoke was coming in - in their defence, however, it was raining and there was nowhere else for them to smoke probably.

I felt safe! Locks on doors, keypad entry past a certain time. Everyone was very kind! Even extra blankets! Mo the Manager is amazing! He is so so kind and generous! I had ordered a toastie from the city and realised I was unable to eat it so I gave it to another person staying and she gave me sandwich things to make food with! Im so thankful for Mo, the people were lovely and I felt so safe! Quick walk to city! Quiet at night For my first stay at a backpackers- 9/10

The four bed room I stayed in was exceptionally clean. Other girls staying in the room were really friendly and we had some great conversations over the night. The checkin and checkout were smooth. I had some good sleep.

It would be better if they keep the kitchen cleaner or clean it more regularly. At least dump the bins more often. Also I got a fine parking on the street at the front. Just a reminder to anyone not familiar with Hobart parking rules: don't park on the yellow line!

The manager, Mo, is very helpful and friendly - The bottom part of my hiking shoes nearly fell out. Mo was very kind to spend efforts to find from his home some glue for repairing my shoes free of charge. I am grateful for his kindness and friendliness. Mo also allowed us to use the washing machine for a little more time outside the designated hours as we have to leave early the next day. He tried his best to accommodate our requests. Million thanks to Mo! The accommodation is value for money.

The room is a bit small for putting luggage of 2 persons

I liked the friendly atmosphere and openness that to a large degree has been created by the hostel manager, Mo (sp?). I have only positive things to say about him; i.e. his warm openness, sensitivity to others, helpfulness, understanding and compassion, also his dedication to the work he does.

Perhaps another fridge would be good, but then there's a space problem for that. For the two night stay, I can't really complain. It was perfectly fine....

Cute little backpackers, located very close to the city centre (less than 10 min walk) Although I only stayed for one night, the facilities were warm and inviting. There's a chill out lounge where you can hang out, charge your phones, use the wifi. A fridge provided to store food and a kitchen available to cook meals. The reviews weren't wrong about the owner, Mo. He was very friendly and accommodating on arrival, eager to help your stay be perfect and pleasing. For those reasons above I'll definitely return to this place!

Nothing really, the place exceeded my expectations
