Room was good. Room 405 had its balcony facing the city and avoided the afternoon sun. Thank you for that. We both enjoyed having the balcony. The location was ok once we coped with the one-way streets. It was probably much quieter there than lower down to the city. The breakfast selection and staff get a big plus. Elevator service is good. The lady that serviced our room did a notably good and efficient job.

We found that water hitting the glass side of the shower tracked to the small ledge and then further on to escape around the glass on to the floor. A continual moping up was necessary.

Room was great. Would have been better to have a couch to relax on rather than bed or hard chairs. Better power points or at least a power board for charging phones, laptop, i pads etc. Terrible for trying to boil kettle. Loved that the room was made up each day.. Lovely fresh towels. Job well done there thank you We had room service for meals on both night we stayed. Meals were fantastic. Quick to arrive at the room, very tasty. Staff were extremely polite.

Bathroom. Although it was nice and clean towels etc there is very little room to hang towels. 2 hooks at the end of the shower is not adequate as the shower made them wet. There was not room to hand a hand towel. Face washers would have been nice (glad I took my own). Lighting and layout not good for doing makeup. To far from mirror to do makeup handbasin was in the way. Very little space for toilet bags. Personally I think that charging for on site parking is also a bit rich. Just be more transparent and put it into the cost of the room. When I arrived at the hotel I was annoyed at the fact we had to pay extra for parking. I find this extremely poor. This is more a personal choice but the hand wash lotions etc didnt smell very nice.

The location was good. The facilities were easy to get to. The rooms were cleaned really well daily.

The beds were really soft. They did move our room for us and gave us a family room so we had our own room but I still found the beds were soft. Next time I will need to ensure I get a firm bed. This is essential for me and would be great if the motel offered firm or soft bedding. I know it is not practical to move bedding all the time perhaps bed toppers that were of firm or soft comfort.

Renovated recently in 2021 with a retro style so very new inside an older era hotel. Staff very friendly, balcony access in each room via a sliding door for fresh air. The Gymnasium was also exactly what I needed. Short 15 minutes walk to CBD or harbour. Taxi available or hire scooters which are fun.

Some guests ignored the no smoking rule and smoked on their balcony which allowed smoke to drift into our room. The staff did follow up on our complaint and tucked a notice under their doors. Other than that tiny issue we had a marvelous stay and would come back again.

We decided to extend our two nights to three at The Best Western and found all the team to be friendly, helpful and accommodating for our stay. We were on level one, so not the most exciting view but the room made up for it and my husband being a smoker, had an area to smoke that didn't affect the rooms at all. The bed which was king-size, was the most comfortable of our entire 10 days in Tassie and the shower was simply the best as well, with great pressure and plenty of hot water. We had all the comforts we required and having an iron was handy to freshen up those suitcase clothes. Everything was so much better than what we first thought, just looking at the grey exterior of the hotel. Parking under cover was a breeze and so handy to have a safe, secure place for our hire car.. and location was really good in that it was a lot quieter being just a little out of the main buzz of Hobart. Very easy to find our way around with good navigation in our car, so the locale of the hotel was perfect for us. If anyone is on the fence about booking here, do yourself a favour and stay here because it really is a great base with all the creature comforts for your needs. Exceptionally clean and modern. Thank you Best Western Hobart for a truly lovely few nights.

The area outside our room was a little drab and uninviting but in saying that, we were out and about each day and only returned for the nights, so it didn't really impact us much. It was handy for my husband to have a smoke outside and it was good to have a cigarette butt bin there. If I were staying there again, I would probably look at a room higher up, just for the ambience Because of the positioning of the hotel, it has magnificent views of the Hobart surrounds.

The beds were super comfy. I slept right through the night every night I was there. Undercover parking was good although it is a paid option. The staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant.

If you are on the fifth floor, don't order breakfast in your room. The lifts are very slow and the one time I ordered breakfast, it arrived stone cold. I didn't bother after that. The shower floor gets very slippery and It is advisable to get rubber mats from reception.

The room is clean and they provide new towels everyday if you request to make up your room. The bed was also good, very comfortable. The room has all that we need. The parking is just tight so better inform them beforehand for the parking space so they reserve one for you.

The only issue is the soap dispenser, I think it's better to look for an alternative. It's quite hard to squeeze the soap dispenser but the soap and shampoo smells good. The dinner menu in the hotel's restaurant is not that good compare to the price, a bit pricey. But the breakfast menus were good.

The room was lovely, great bed, well appointed bathroom. It was nice having a small balcony where we could open the sliding door for fresh air and a good feel of the weather for the day. The staff, especially the bloke in the breakfast restaurant provided exceptional customer service.

The air con was a little noisy. We could also hear the sound of the shower and/or exhaust fan from the room next door. There was very minor water damage to the bottom of the bathroom door but repair wasn't urgent.

We stayed at the hotel twice. Once at the beginning of our holiday for 3 nights and then again at the end of our holiday 2 weeks later for 1 night. Two different rooms. The 1st room was a little tired and the cleaning not so good. The bathroom sliding floor was off its runner and remained like that despite advising reception early after arriving. Our 2nd stay was much improved. A much cleaner room and had a better feel about it. We ate 2 dinners and 1 breakfast in Embers Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

See above.

Great location at the edge of downtown Hobart. We dropped our Hertz rental opposite to the hotel - very convenient. 10 min walk to Salamanca and the ferry to MONA. Sunday Farmers Market was just 2 blocks away. Very comfortable bed and we had an adjoining lounge to our room which was handy to gather in with the other couple we were travelling with. It also had a TV as did the bedroom. The restaurant was nice with helpful staff. Frontdesk staff were also very helpful with local advice and booking taxis for us. Only thing I can suggest for improvement is that couples travelling together really want more than just 1 luggage rack above the floor. This is not uncommon to encounter but it seems to be the norm. A room with a Queen bed really requires 2 luggage racks above floor level - please…

Nothing.
