The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The whole stay felt like travelling back in time by 150 years and staying in a Victorian era mansion. Both the rooms and the common places were magnificently furnished and decorated. The spa room comes with a private jacuzzi. It is lovely to stroll in the beautiful garden but unfortunately, it was a bit cold for the inviting outdoor pool. We would definitely stay here again if we visit the greater Melbourne area.

There were only minor inconveniences. Continental breakfast meant limited choices. Heating was only possible by air conditioning making it louder than radiators but we understood this was due to the mansion having been built with fireplaces. Some furniture had obvious signs of wear.

Burnbank is a beautiful getaway with a rich history. We enjoyed being surrounded by nature and the history of the house. Check-in was very easy and straight forward. Barb was on the ball as soon as we pulled up to house through the driveway. The beds weren't too bad, we were only looking for somewhere to lay and wash. After reading the history of the house (there's a little folder), I was able to properly appreciate the house and its history. The breakfast buffet was self-serve in the dining room, which was absolutely beautiful. The floor to roof windows are definitely something I'd come back for.

This booking was for my daughter and her partner. They both loved the old world charm and hospitality. The room was beautifully appointed and the gardens lovely to walk though and for her to use her new SLR camera to capture the floral blooms. Overall, she said should could not have asked for a better place for her to stay - like I read her mind to get everything she would want.

Nothing - My daughter said it was PERFECT. I am travelling to Melbourne again in March and she raved so much about it that we have chosen to stay here at this quaint B&B instead of with family who are 1km away!!

Nice stay in a comfy house. We enjoyed exploring the gardens and the parrots were fun. The room was a decent size and we appreciated the electric blankets as it was colder than expected. Lovely shower and bathroom. Nice breakfast on first day. Additional kettle and toaster in room which was handy. Area was nice. Lovely Botanical garden in Berwick.

Couple of little niggles. Great breakfast on first day but on second we had a lie in so nothing really left. Croissants already scoffed and nice coffee gone. No top ups We had issue with the front window as it was impossible to lock. Ended up putting passports in the car as it was safer. We didn't see the owners until the last day.

Burnbank is fabulous, an old traditional homestead set on large grounds with a pool. The bed was great, comfy with nice linen. The breakfast set up as a help-yourself thing. The eggs were fresh from the chickens (which you can visit on site). The rabbits were entertaining at breakfast.

The bedroom was not well-lit during the day, but you had the rest of the place to use. My husband lost his hot shower one night due to the neighbours running a bath at the same time. Nothing like a cold shower to invigorate right. Bad timing for him, otherwise the shower + pressure was excellent. I wouldn't think this clash happens often. The bed linen was fine, my only comment: I would expect the towels to be fluffy, at least soft, not crunchy.

room, all other rooms, jacuzzi, bed, decorations, bathroom, entrance, gardens, we like the space and how it has given me time to feel and reflect genuinely and compassionately upon ourselves. Entire experience is just the way we were looking for!

we didn't like that I couldn't easily access the internet or use owr own data but that may have been for a higher reason to give me space from the digital world. Also from reading their email for confirmation we expected hot food breakfast also as in buffet like hotel but after all, we figured it's a retreat so everything was beyond our expectations!

beautiful garden, great location, handy information on arrival (at the entrance) quiet and peaceful.

it was overall clean, but this could really improve… we accidentally dropped something under furniture, and when we went to retrieve it, we found rubbish and objects (probably from previous customers) and a lot of dust… felt a bit gross to stretch the arm under to get what we dropped. Also, the room we got was smaller that we expected. breakfast was included, which was great, the tables in the dinning area were set, but some of the plates had crumbs on them, we assumed it didn’t get checked and cleared from the day before (glasses, cups and cutlery unevenly distributed , only one portion of butter left, , no jam on our table -people next to us only had a couple of portion- the milk carton that was open in the fridge was nearly empty… so breakfast was a bit of a let down too.

When stepping onto the property I was immediately charmed by how unique and antique the estate was. a beautiful wood living room with piano and fireplace, a veranda with breakfast dining tables and self serving bar with water and teas, and the room itself was so lovely. I want to come back in the summertime and take lovely photos outside in the gardens and by the pool. My friend and I were both impressed to say the least.

the breakfast tables and dinnerware were gorgeous, but the orange juice that was available was sour and I’m pretty sure had gone bad. No other complaints really though.

The room wasn't large but it very much reflected the nature of the property. Plenty of storage space. Our bed was very comfortable, the air conditioner worked well. Power points could have been more accessible. Charming lounge and library area. The grounds were a picture; our short stay didn't allow for full exploration. We would certainly stay here again.

The dining room is lovely but we were expecting a full breakfast, and the continental breakfast supplied did leave a bit to be desired. Limited toasting bread, both in quantity and variety, and the croissants - no. Limited spreads. However, an egg boiler was supplied, together with eggs from their very own chooks.

Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely old house, heaps of character. Bed was good with nice pillows. Had a massive TV, coffee machine in your room, shower was good. Very quiet and lovely gardens.

The breakfast was basic, but we expected this from prior reviews. We were however, hoping for a cup of coffee and tea, both had to be heated in the microwave as both the urn and somehow the coffee machine were cold. Suggestion: maybe have a kettle instead of an urn.
