Quest Dandenong Central

This was the first time I have stayed here and I was very impressed. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The location was very good and shopping centre was easy walk and very close to train station. It was also very accessible to main roads to take you whichever way you wanted to go. The room was a studio executive and had everything needed to make my stay comfortable and I really liked the balcony where I could sit in the fresh air to read and have my coffee. Will definitely stay again.

There was nothing I didn’t like

Genevieve on the front desk was absolutely amazing! I had to call reception a couple of times during the day as we were going to be late & she was so understanding, supportive and helpful - plus very patient. She gave me a hug on arrival and her energy was just amazing for nearly 10pm. Was hoping to see her at checkout by unfortunately wasn’t there. She deserves a medal for her service!!! The note left for us as ‘newlyweds’ was gorgeous. Plus the chocolates, beer for my husband and the late checkout did not go unnoticed!!!

The curtain in the main bedroom seemed to have come off the hook so I couldn’t pull it all the way across to block out the sun this morning

The room I eventually stay matched that of the photo when I did the booking. That's what I expect I paid for. The staff were very nice and helpful. They act promptly.

The initial room given to me didn't match the photo when I did the booking. The TV and desk seemed to be add-ons making the access to/from balcony narrow; the open partition of the balcony let the smoke from the neighboring room filled up my room.

Having had to make a last minute booking due to having to leave the property we booked as it was filthy and unsafe, we were met with such warmth by the staff, who couldn't do enough to help us, and this continued throughout our stay. I can't rate this property high enough. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, but it was the staff and service that went above and beyond that really made this stay such a pleasure. HIGHLY recommended.

The bedding is showing signs of age and stains on mattress protectors and doona. Have stayed in a few rooms there before and knew the room options. I booked an executive studio apartment but was given a studio apartment (not what we wanted).. there were no executive studios left so I agreed to pay additional money to upgrade to a large apartment (very nice) - but not our original plan for our stay.

Parking is a little bit pricey for $15/day. But it’s quite handy as it’s located in the same building. Location is perfect!

There’s no hairdryer ready in the bathroom. I had to ring the reception at 8pm on our first night and the lady said the staff already went home and that I have to ring them again in the morning at 8 AM. I had a shower that night and slept with wet hair. They provided the hairdryer the next day after making 2 phone calls on the day. I know it’s petty, but hairdryer is a must for convenience. Overall, we like our stay in Quest Dandenong Central.

It is within 5 mins walk to the train station. There is a gym and big common space for activities outside the room. The room is well equipped. The reception staff were all pleasant and tries hard to help.

We could have avoided wasting entire morning and extending car rental if allowed to store our luggages 1 day before checking in. Thus the train station being near become irrelevant. Also, food wise is a challenge if you do not enjoy Indian food as that was the immediate available food choice. Nearby mall is under renovation and other food choice is a challenge.

I had my own breakfast goods The kitchen was very clean and has good named utensils not cheap ones The bathroom was practical and wasn’t small and squeeze to get into Bed was comfortable and clean

Unfortunately the power must have dropped out for the bedside and floor lamps and the television and was departing early so left a note with the keys that I dropped off to the deposit box I’m not sure if anyone was around before reception opened

Easy to get to, close to the station, undercover parking with easy access to your apartment via lift undercover, very comfy bed and the shower was excellent 👍🏻 generally it was adequate for what we wanted at the price we paid.

Masks are compulsory indoors in Victoria. One of the Receptionists on the two occasions I had contact with her on two different days wasn't wearing a mask. Immediately my thoughts were is this the policy of the organisation how aware are they of cleanliness and COVID are they taking it seriously?

The apartment was a good size, clean and modern and an amazing shower head in both bathrooms!

As there were four of us, a single two seater sofa was not enough for all of us to sit on and be 'couch potatoes' The remote for the sound bar did not work, batteries were completely flat and the lamp next to tv did not work, even after we tried another bulb, so no 'mood lighting' . Room 301 btw.
