Holiday Inn Dandenong, an IHG Hotel

This quiet, brand new and clean accommodation is exactly what I was looking for in Dandenong. The staff were very friendly and I overheard them say to a customer on the phone that it is a 24 hour check in so they didn't need to rush in their travel to the motel. I booked same day as it was emergency accommodation for us when our car had mechanical issues and our plans to travel to the next destination were put back a day. The restaurant did fantastic meals and we were relived that we didn't need to go searching for a place to eat. Secure park is a big tick. Comfy bed (I guess because they are new)

Disappointed that the parking wasn't free, but happy it was secure. I couldn't find a place to park to check in as there is a bus stop directly outside the entry, so I had to go around the block 3 times and ended up illegally parking in the bus stop and sent my partner inside. The desk clerk was kind enough to allow us to pull into the driveway and use the intercom to let us into the carpark so we could check in.

Check in was a breeze, front desk were cheerful esp Dan the manager. New hotel, Bed was comfortable. Linen were crisp and pillow soft loved it. The interior was tastefully done from the colour coordination of the room to its toilet tiles. Plus, Hotel was opposite a mall and loads of restaurants nearby. Carpark available, was convenient and easy, especially at night it had good lighting.

No lighting at the coffee maker cabinet. Toilet slightly ajar would be better if it overlaps the wall a little. Not the hotels fault but there were quite a few people loitering around the hotel area. Felt a bit uneasy at night.

From the moment i parked the car, to the friendly staff on the intercom, opening the door to enter the Hotel, was just a lovely stay. Reception was A class, friendly, with a welcoming smile, no waiting, straight on to assisting with checking in. I went up to my room, it was pristine clean. The bed had the right pillows, as in you actually had a choice, hard, soft medium...WOW....plenty of towels, and face washers in the bathroom. This hotel has a gym too, not that I used it...but if that's your thing...then you would be happy.

Last night we had the need to stay in Dandenong for the night and chose the newly opened Holiday Inn Hotel, just opposite the entrance to The Hub shopping Centre. We had stayed at this spot many times before when it was the Ramada Encore but hadn't been to Dandenong to stay very much because of Covid. The Holiday Inn has been open only a few short weeks and it is really lovely. When we checked in the staff was warm and friendly. Couldn't be more pleasant and did everything in their power to be accommodating. Paul was on the front desk and was very welcoming. We picked up our keys and off we went to our room. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need. The entire building has been altered and renovated and everything is new. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need. Car parking is undercover and included in the price of the room; as is a more than ample breakfast including cereal, fruits, yoghurts, juices, cold meats and anti pasta vegetables as well as cooked buffet items. All included in the price of $160. for the night. The dinner menu was varied and the food I had was delicious. Thank you to Liv for the very special care last night at dinner and again this morning at breakfast. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and we will return again very soon. Thankyou Paul, Liv and Sam. Couldn't fault our stay. The staff treated us as though we were friends.

Hotel is located across the road from the shopping centre and close to the freeway into the city, clean rooms and the staff are exceptional.

Hotel is located in a area where there are alot of junkies, it's not safe at night to leave the hotel at night (especially if you are female). We almost got mugged in the hotel parking lot but the culprit soon realised that if he did, he would have met his maker that very same night. Hotel staff were notified and very quick to respond to the incident.

From first communications after booking, to the easy check out, our experience was absolutely exceptional. We stayed in a twin double bed room that was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and spacious. We particularly enjoyed the team. They were awesome Liv, Don and Mohan were easy stand out awesome. They deserve a huge shout out. Thank you. My Dad rarely travels, and you made his stay in Melbourne one he will rave about for a long time. We look forward to coming back and staying again soon.

We loved everything.

Really modern and fresh inside, rooms were spacious and clean. Staff very friendly, quick checkin. Beds extremely comfortable, we slept well. Lobby had a great vibe, lots of places to sit and chat, charge phones etc.

Car park has very narrow car spaces. Also the bathroom, while very modern and clean, has a layout issue with the toilet squeezed between cabinet and wall. We were also charged $18 for 2 water bottles as a room service fee, despite us collecting them from the lobby.

Staff very helpful Paul & Grace went above beyond to make me and my 74-year-old mother very comfortable.

This event can not be controlled by the hotel, unfortunately, but i do feel it needs to be addressed. I came out to the car park later that evening to find a vagrant trying to get into the vehicles to the hotels customers. I didn't feel that my car was safe parked in the hotel. I informed chased him off and told the member of the staff at the hotel desk. I do hope that this was logged.

The room is comfy & very clean. The structure inside is modern, clean & with nice ambiance . The staff are approachable, friendly & they served well to the customers. The location is accessible to almost everything.

The bathroom because the floor got wet almost all over in the area after showering bec.it's only covered by shower curtain & the water went flow from the bathroom floor into the toilet floor or almost in the whole area in that floor.

Breakfast was great. Plenty of choices. Helpful friendly staff. The location was fantastic. Dandenong shopping mall directly across The Road. Bus stop directly outside the hotel to the Station and other locations or it's around 7mn walk to station Places of worship close by . Plenty of cafes and restaurants around the area.

We were happy with generaly everything. We felt the rooms were slightly small but great for a short stay
