Good value for money, very comfortable beds, with electric blankets

dirt road had many deep potholes and ruts that made accessing the property interesting. kettle was unusable with black debris contaminating the water, even after cleaning.

Jack was very welcoming when we arrived and showed us to our cottage. Lamps glowing inside the cottage offered a friendly ambience. The cottage was spacious. The furniture was unusual and expensive looking. The linen was luxurious. Spare blankets were provided. Each cottage had a table, chairs and a BBQ outside. Donna was lovely, showing me how to set up my wifi. Both Jack and Donna offered to assist in any way and were on call at any time. A lovely touch - regular feeding of wild birds each morning and feeding possums after dark. What a thrill that would be to "city kids"

The road into Kalmina Woods could only be described as atrocious. My husband and I were each driving a classic vehicle and were concerned about damage caused by the rutted and bumpy road., with its giant pot holes. My car is very low and at times "bottomed out"

Quiet location.

Needs an absolute refurbish. I can do more with a blower! Will need kitchen utensils, sharp knives (not knife), new spoon 'n forks, new porcelains, glasses, mugs, large cutting boards, plenty of rubbish bags, kitchen towels, new dish sponges, new spa, clean bbq outside, tidy up the garden, hand wash soap, ktchen utensils(oh already said that), new pots 'n pans. The place made us do less and egged us to go out more. I think that was a great thing.

Being in nature with the wildlife and lighting the pot belly fire warmed our cottage. It was close to the river where we had a beautiful sunset walk. There’s a pub about 5 mins walk away with very good food.

I had read a review that the road into the cottages was very bad. So I was a little worried. However the owner has completely fixed it so our car which is a sedan could easily access the accommodation. It is still a dirt road but fine. The rooster was a little noisy in the morning but all part of the rustic bush feel.

The animals , the cottage was away from busy roads, tranquil and cozy. Had all the ammenities we required. Friendly owner ! Country feel close to town.

Tv 📺 was not working well, had yellow screen and poor signal 📶 unable to watch any tv. Needs both a booster and tv replaced. Outside areas needed a clean up in some areas. Animals do wake you up early so you’ll never have to worry about sleeping in. 🐓 🦆

Rustic cottages set amongst the trees. Lovely wood fire out by the BBQ and a wood fire inside. Short walk to Kalimna Jetty and foreshore walk. Would be a great place to take a bicycle. We also had plenty of opportunities for fishing either beach or estuary and hired a boat for a few hours to go adventuring.

The only light outside by the BBQ was operated by the owner and set to a timer. We had a BBQ every night and had to contact him each time we wanted the light turned on as it didn't go on automatically at dusk.

Lovely bush setting. The cottages are well-spaced, so they feel very private. Lots of nature. Close to the water and some nice walks. Friendly check-in staff.

There seemed to be some general inattention to detail. The inside of the cottage was clean, but the outside was not. There were four us. but we were only given three bath towels and the crockery collection in the kitchen included just two dinner plates. The cooking facilities were fine but instructions on how to use the appliances would have been useful. The unsealed road that runs around the property is not well-maintained.

Kalimna Woods Cottages are located up a dirt driveway off a bitumen street. The cottages are located in bushland with plenty of trees, wild birdlife (parrots, cockatoos) and property chooks. All cottages are separated from each other by about 5 to 15 metres. Parking is outside each cottage. The cottage we were in had a shower/toilet room, the bedroom had a queen bed and there was a spa batch; the kitchen lounge area was open plan. The bed was very comfortable.

Dirt driveway had some washouts so required careful traversing.

The road was heavily pot-holed which was difficult to navigate in our car.

Interior of the house was quite comfy. Good enough heating. It was clean and tidy.

Guests would be thrilled if there were any welcoming staff. When we arrived at ~6:30 p.m. to check in, the person in charge of the reception complained that he couldn't even have his dinner because of us. We had trouble finding the reception in the dark and had to circle the place couple of times until the person at the reception located us - at which point he started shouting at us. We cannot recommend this person to be in charge of this sweet place.
