Lovely Art Series hotel located close to Royal Melb Hospital (Adults) and right next door to Melb Children's Hospital, with stunning parklands around. There are trams right outside to take you into the city within 10-12 minutes, and some local shops to stock up about a 7-8 minute pleasant walk into North Melbourne, but the hotel is not located 'right in the action'. But on the other hand, it was incredibly peaceful, and the views across the parklands from my room were absolutely stunning. My room was a real sanctuary, quite spacious, modern, clean, with good coffee & tea making facilities provided. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Uber Eats had no problem delivering meals when required and taxis arrived within minutes of being called also when required, and I took the tram into the city and back without any problem. And David Larwill's art is wonderful! (I needed to extend my stay and ended up staying 6 nights in total.)

As many of the guests I presume, like myself are visiting the hospitals, particularly the Children's Hospital, management need to look at offering in-house laundry facilities. Serviced Apartments offer both kitchen and laundry facilities in-room and possibly the hotel need to think about how to meld some of these services, starting with laundry facilities into their current set-up, it would really make a difference!!

Loved the quiet room, loved the position & view. Loved the bed, so soft. Loved the music in the room on arrival - ABC Jazz Close to the venue of my working conference, a great walk. Staff most helpful & obliging. Loved the restocking tea/coffee , towels as needed etc

Pillow options not great Could not use the stairs for exercise but was informed of the reason why - understood. Fibreglass bath & plastic showering facility. Round table felt a bit insecure. WIFI could improve Variety on the menu for dinner.

Booking was seamless. Quick reply from hotel regarding my query. Checkin was quick and easy. Bright and I had a beautiful park view from my room. Nice walking through the park too. Quiet and I could not hear sounds from busy road at all. Location was fantastic for what I was there for. Tram stop just in front. The room was clean. There were a microwave oven, plates, bowls and cutlery provided too.

Nothing much except that the power socket was attached to the bed head which makes it hard to use when sleeping. And the shower is in the tub which makes it hard to get in and out. And the thermostat for air conditioning was a bit hard to control.

Super easy being right next to the RCH. Comfortable etc too! Was a bit overwhelming on arrival, not knowing where to park etc but will definitely stay again.

The only downside of our stay was the Farmacy restaurant. We ordered breaky wraps (room service) which were suppose to have spinach on them but instead had mixed lettuce??? (I have no idea how you can even mix those two up but somehow they managed to!) If we weren’t strapped for time I would’ve taken them back for a refund!

The checking-in and out process was easy and the staff at reception were very friendly. The room was suitable for my group too. There was plenty of space in the bathroom as well. The window provided a lovely view of the park below.

Grabbing an Uber from the front of the hotel was a bit busy, there is only a drop-off area directly in front of the hotel entrance. Also be sure to read over what is free and what needs to be paid for after your staff in the mini bar and snack bowl in the room.

I was travelling to Melbourne for an exam held at the Royal Women's Hospital. The Larwill was conveniently located just down the road, with easy access to the CBD via the tram outside RCH. The parklands next door were lovely, and there were a great range of food options nearby. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I loved having a yoga mat in the room. I would definitely stay again if I needed accommodation in this area in future.

We stayed as a family we loved the room was comfortable and cleanliness was above our expectations. We love the location a short tram ride to the city and easy to get to and from. Loved the hospital lobby with the fish tanks and open spaces. Short tram ride to the zoo and great park area walking distance.

Staff members on the desk was a bit abrupt on check out and wasn't helpful with parking and ended up paying via the hospital itself.

Great value for money. The bed was super comfortable, we slept very well. The room was very clean. Relatively well located, just a few minutes from the city by tram.

Couldn't change the AC mode, was either "cool" or nothing. We don't like sleeping with AC, we prefer the "dry" mode if anything, so we turned it off. It would have great to have a smart TV rather than just free to air TV.

Very clean, quiet and relaxing. The beds are really comfortable, it feels like a home away from home. All the Larwill staff were friendly and so accomodating, helping me with my son in wheelchair and my luggage. We will definitely try and book The Larwill again when we are back iin Melbourne.

No ceiling hoist facilities in accessible room, this would be so helpful to families staying for a RCH visit.

The room was spacious with two beds, a table, a lounge chair, storage space and the bathroom. Everything was very clean and the artwork added style and character to our stay. The reception staff were welcoming and happy to help. We had a lovely view of the city which was an added bonus! Accessible via trams with a stop right near the hotel!

The room was quite hot despite setting the A/C but it wasn’t unbearable by any means! No minibar (this might be due to covid-19 though) nearest supermarket we found was a IGA X-press 500m towards the city.
