I've stayed at Essendon Motel several times and have always been happy with my stay. Reception/management staff are always lovely and accommodating, The building itself is a little older but what youd expect for the price, which is also very reasonable. Nice big digital tv and split system works perfectly as did everything else. My room was tidy and spacious, beds was comfy, secure car park and suprisingly quiet even though its located on a main road. DFO shopping complex is roughly 15 min walk minute walk, Melbourne Airport is a 15 min drive! Would happily stay again

There were a couple of small problems with the room when I arrived, but they were fixed promptly. The bed was comfortable, and although a little dated, the room was clean and well appointed. A much larger room than I booked also. I would stay again.

Many stairs, and no mention of them upon booking. Airport noise, although that was to be expected, and I didn't hear it after the first night. No drop box for key (and I wasn't going back up the stairs again to put it in the room).

Our room was huge for a family of 4, even got a spare bed (1 double and 3 single). Heater worked well. Room was clean. Location good, close to venues. Reception was friendly. We enjoyed our stay

Usually rooms have a portfolio/folder booklet that lets guests know what is happening in the area, other dining options, things to do etc, this place didnt. The key and door wasnt confusing but our door was difficult to open at times.

Location was convenient for what I needed to be in town for. Staff were all very nice, and helpful.

Property would have been amazing in its hay day, but is tired and could use a refresh

The Motel was perfect for what we knew we were paying for. Motels are NOT hotels, so the expectation is not a fine dining experience, but the room was excellent, it was clean and suitable as a roof over our heads. I would definitely choose this location ahead of an over-priced no after hours service hotel any day. This was a very good Motel.

The door was a bit difficult and the card enterance temperamental.

The lack of cups, cutlery and plates. No hand towels, towels thin and bit small. No welcome packs of information about dining , places etc

Great location and off street parking. Very little road noise. Friendly staff and value for money!

No internet in rooms

Close to the airport and the receptionist went out of her way to help us, excellent service.

Super Staff. Very hard working, serviced minded, friendly & helpful.

The room & facilities are quite old. Some items need replacement. Dust on carpet, table.
