#1 location is absolutely perfect #2 beds were comfy #3 nothing else

#1 My booking was for 2 adults and 3 children. Our 2 bedroom apartment had only 4 towels🤔 #2 My room had 2 beautiful bedside lamps that couldn't be used because they weren't plugged in. I had a quick look. Plug points are not to be seen. Maybe the lamps were just on display?🤔 #3 Our biggest disappointment was that at check-in I was NOT told that the pool& spa were not available for use anymore.safe to say the kids were not impressed.No information on the website or on booking.com that the pool/ spa was not in operation 🤔 At checkout, I asked about the towels out of curiosity. The receptionist said standard procedure for 2 bed room apartments to get 4 towels. I guess the 5th person has to byo towel. This will probably be my 4th and last visit to these apartments .

Excellent location, in the free tram zone, close to transport, shopping and food. A short walk to Hardware Lane, Swanston Street (Chinatown), a few stops on the tram to Queen Victoria Markets, Flinders Street Station, Federation Square, etc... Melbourne is a walkable city. Easy getting groceries from Coles, Woolworths or convenience stores across the road. Alberto at the reception is friendly and helpful. The complimentary toiletries were pleasant and nice to see it is locally made.

Having to complete the new pre-check-in process which is apparently "mandatory" for ALL guests. Upon arrival, it was deemed not necessary, but only for the lead guest. Way too much information needed when it has been pre-paid. The accommodation is dated, showing wear and tear, but nothing unexpected. Housekeeping services needs improvement - carpets, table tops, bathrooms were not clean and more care needed in getting rid of stains in the toilet bowls. Toiletries were not topped up, with 2 bottles short. Fridge was not working and missing batteries for the TV remote control.

It's location in the middle of the city makes it accessibke to many places for food and shopping. However the food was quite expensive. The checkin staff was verh friendly. We got there aearly and he promised usthat he would get the housekeepibg to get working by 9 and would email us when the room is ready. No email came. We had to ask. The room was like ready long before we asked.

The water heater in the main bathroom can either burn you or freeze you. The adjustnent needed had to be very precise. By the second night, all of us used the other bathroom. Clea ing the room must be informed. And its just changing of towelsand replenishing of toilet paper. So we only got it done once. Aircon control... uncontrollable.

There was good communication prior to arrival. While there is no reception service available at the property itself, check-in and check-out is easily done in an adjacent property. The room was very comfortable and had basic kitchen facilities which were sufficient for breakfast and preparing lunch, there was hot water in the shower, and the complimentary snacks and wine were appreciated.

The wifi didn't seem to work. There was a note on the in-house website explaining that the wifi wasn't yet working after the refurbishment of the hotel, but there was mixed messaging about this as well. In the end I couldn't connect and had to rely on hotspotting from my phone.

Perfect location, a few minutes away from the CBD and all main attractions Comfortable rooms and plenty of space in the 2-beds, 2-baths apartments Relatively quiet It's nice to have a washing machine and a small kitchen It sits on a shopping centre (and it's next to a few more) with plenty of shops and restaurants Good transport links and parking options

The carpet of the rooms could be renovated to look more modern and clean Improve furniture as it's a bit dated The views are not the best unless you get a room on one of the top floors

excellent location, clean, very comfortable big bed, a big apartment with excellent facilities including a washing machine. good value! shower was large and good pressure and hot water.

only small things. tea and coffee, only had four sachets of each. only four of the tiny milk pots for three nights. no biscuits. no plugs for any of the sinks. there is an very large advertising video screen on the building next door which shone directly into our room and even with a blockout curtain it was impossible to block all the flashing lights out!

Location was phenomenal. Easy access to many areas. Walking distance to all places. Transportation via trams, buses and other forms of transport were within the apartment’s location and were very convenient. Spacious accommodation. Close to shopping, dining and historical buildings and places of interest. Highly recommended.

The property was showing its age. Facilities and equipment were run down. Needs an uplift and renovation to stay up the ranks of modern service apartments in the area. Other than this aspect, it was all very good and we enjoyed the stay.

Helpful and friendly team at reception. Room was serviced daily and with exception of one day , the service was meticulous. Any request was promptly attended to, even the smallest of things like requesting more soap or coffee were no trouble at all. Room was quiet, comfortable and well serviced. Being my birthday shortly after our arrival, my husband secretly arranged for flowers to be delivered to reception. Lovely touch and surprise by the reception team to have the flowers taken up to my room with the team from Somerset adding a nice bottle of wine and a note from reception wishing me a happy birthday. Nice personalised service which is rare in this day in age. Location was pretty central to everything. Trams, convenience stores and cafes just down the road. If returning to Melbourne in the future, we would be very happy to stay at Somerset again. We had a wonderful time staying here.

Unusually one afternoon we returned to the room had bed was unmade and no new towells provided In bringing this to the attention of house keeping a team member promptly came up tomour room and completed the house keeping apologising for the oversight. Every other day the room was perfectly serviced no issues.

Great blend of budget accommodation with plenty of room, well maintained with some nice extra touches and in a handy location. I only needed it to facilitate an early business start the next day so didn't really utilise the facilities, I will absolutely book again next time I need something to make a city visit more convenient without smashing the budget.

I left early in the morning and didn't see any place or instructions to leave the keycards - but one pleasant phone call afterwards and all resolved.

Location was great, plenty of space in the apartment.

The king bed is 2 singles pushed together, they are never comfortable. There is parking on location but no connection with apartments although the elevator brings you to their door you have to walk through the shopping centre toilets, around the shops out onto the street to get into apartments. The heating/aircon sounded like roadworks in my room as it went on and off throughout the night.
