It is very central and it is a short walk from the trams. The bedroom, whilst compact was very comfortable. The shower and toilet are located in a small seoi room with a large hand basin next to this room in the bedroom. Adequate wardrobe space and a very comfortable bed. I paid extra for breakfast and there was a good selection of both hot and cold food available. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit selection There was an issue when I checked in since they could not trace my booking. The clerk was most apologetic and went away to sort the issue out which she did so promptly and efficiently. I was particularly impressed that she remembered me when I checked out 4 days later and once again, was very efficient

I planned to have an early breakfast but when I entered the lift to go down to the restaurant it would not move. I found out that the lift has to be programmed to allow it to go to that floor and on two mornings the person responsible had forgotten to do this. A slight niggle but a little frustratinge

This is the third time I've stayed here. Staff are always helpful and polite. I had difficulties with having the right funds on the right credit card, and the reception staff were very patient and understanding. Rooms are always very clean, and cleaned daily even when I had the 'do not disturb' sign up well into the afternoon. Very good location. Rooms comfy and a good size (I'd recommend going for a slightly larger room if possible).

Very little to fault. The table in the room was too high for the little 'lounge'. I'd have preferred a normal chair to pair with the table. One day no new drinking glasses were provided by housekeeping.

Exceptional location, you really feel the vibe of the city center right at your door. The staff is amazing - helpful and polite. The room is stylish, the bed is comfortable and the view from the windows is decent. However, the real highlight is the breakfast, probably the best one I've had in a hotel - an incredible selection of foods, and superb quality, overall cleanliness.

The sink is placed weirdly with respect to the mirror - either you stay 1,5 m away or you must bend to see yourself. But the real problem was the absence of any sort of table or even chair! Maybe I just booked the wrong room, but it was definitely a bit of a dealbreaker, as I've travelled for work.

The hotel is very central and is basically equidistant to two major train stations. It’s also a very short distance from tram stations. This location makes it very easy to walk to major landmarks within the city (the sky deck, Victoria library, federation square, the botanical gardens etc). There’s also a really good cafe just opposite called Overlay that sells good matcha lattes!

The only thing I have to nitpick over is the toilet area. The foggy glass door that covers the toilet and bathroom area is not completely opaque so it does feel kind of unsafe at times but I roomed with two girls so it wasn’t too bad. The shower area is however really small and there isn’t a place to hang my clothes on the inside so I have to step into the room to wear my clothes, which is really awkward. That being said, I do like that the toilet and shower area are kept separate because like this it’s just more convenient with other people.

It was comfy in a central location, you can walk everywhere or take the tram. Breakfast was tasty...really good value for one person. Size was good, never felt like it was too small. Easy walk from bus station to the airport as well on market street.

There was not enough room to store your own things on the counter top in the bathroom or by the sink because they had a tray for coffee and tea. I had to move it into the closet. Styaing for 5 nights i really needed a place for my toiletries.. The shower also did not have a good drainage system. Every shower the water leaked in the toliet. Even tho there was another drain by the toilet, the water was like a pool. So bring shower shoes.

The room was cosy, although there could be an area to put the luggage in the room. The location was in the CBD area and is accessible to halal food, shopping centres and cafes nearby. We noticed that housekeeping was done well each day during our stay. Kudos to the housekeeping people.

The soap and shampoo dispenser was not refilled during our stay. The bed was slightly smaller than expected as I was staying with my sister, who was in town for a holiday while I was having my school break, but we made do with it.

Staff was very friendly , I arrived with my car thinking where I’m going to leave it but everything was done for me , I didn’t need to worry , the cost of the parking was very fair, the bed was excellent , we were very happy to stay in ibis hotel

I don’t think we were able to purchase a drink from the bar , late at night , my husband wanted to have a beer but he didn’t want to go out to get something, saying this , it could be our fault for not reading all your information, but it was ok , perhaps the fridge in the room could have few drink ?? We would be more that happy to pay at the time leaving

Very cozy if you travel alone like me. Everything very approachable with affordable prices compared to the overall crazily high prices and such a vibrant city like Melbourne. This is the third time I stayed at Ibis, there are no words to describe my pleasant. 10/10 for a nice and friendly staff, they make everything effortlessly easy and seamless. The gym is clean, there is a cafe on ground floor opening from morning until night with an affordable menu. The neighbourhood is safe, yet directly in CBD, which is easy and handy to reach to many delicious restaurants in the central. I can reach to Din Tai Fung, Starbucks, QV, and Southern Cross Train just by foot. A short walk to Thai Town, Xing Fu Tang, Dodee and also national supermarket Woolies, Coles for groceries. Lots of places to hang out if travel with friends as well. Last time, we went to famous croissant Lune, and some bona tea stores, and enjoyed rich and delicious Thai cuisine in the area. The TV can be connected directly to your own device and watch Netflix, YouTube, Spotify or any source of entertainment. I just love the place, because everything is so convenient.

None, absolutely. The next door closing sound may be loud because the room and sometimes sounds like your room door. But on top of that, it really depends on your neighbour. Also, there is no microwave. I wonder if they can reheat my food with their kitchen or not.

I loved my ' guest of the day ' surprise voucher. It made up for cancelled flights by Virgin Australia misery !!! It gave me a discount for the restaurant food!! Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Very helpful staff. Great in house restaurant. Very good location.

In the room, the following were lacking; No biscuits/snacky food to have with tea/coffee. No written information on local things to do. No written hotel guide or menu for restaurant.

I loved the bed and want to know the mattress brand so I can buy one!

The mirror was placed side on and no great for putting on makeup and the hand soap position was too far away from the sink. You had to lean over or go around the bench to get it. Perhaps the mirror could be a smaller type so hand soap could be repositioned and a full length mirror on the wall opposite hand basin. Your staff at breakfast were not helpful. We received a voucher for 2 free coffees and wanted to use them at breakfast but couldn’t just get toast to go with it. We were told we had to pay $38. We asked if we could get them to go and we’re told no. So we missed out on the free coffees.
