Pullman Melbourne on Swanston

Location was fantastic, walking distance to shops, restaurants,cafes and supermarkets. Staff were great, 3 lifts that were super fast. Foyer and hallways were immaculate and smells divine. Room was exceptionally clean with everthing you need, great to have a mini bar even though we didnt need it, it was an option. There is also a ghd hair straightener which was great.

Tried to get coffee sent to our room in the morning as we like coffee in bed before starting our day and prepping for meetings, rang room service every morning and no one answered, we found this to be inconvenient. The coffee at the hotel bar was fantastic, just wish they could deliver to room. We travel for business around Australia and this has never been a problem in any other hotel.

Overall, the location is great for anyone who like the city vibe. room were spacious, neat, tidy and modern. cleaning staff did a very great job. I will pick this location over some other more stars hotel simply because of the location and accessibility. bed and pillows were soft and clean, overall it was a great experience

Check in staff was a little bit inflexible and unable to give options or solution for billing request. as it was booked under personal account but meant for company expenses, staff was unable to combine billing receipt as well as no solution for the matter.

Nice room, amazing location, newly refurbished property.

Slightly noisy, no pool, there’s miscommunication with in room dining where there’s an option to add kids meal for breakfast with no $ value that is actually being charged to us. We ordered full breakfast $24, then in the app, they asked if we want kids breakfast, I picked toast+baked beans that have no price (looks free, there are other that has a charge), I added this and the total bill comes to $24 + delivery charge of $5 which is fine. I ended up paying $29+ $10 kids meal. Better communication will grant the hotel 10/10.

The only gripe I have is the gym. I'm a frequent gym goer. The gym equipment is excellent!! Good enough for most of us. Problem is... They use spotlights, instead of proper white lights. The spotlights shine directly into the eyes. The spotlights also do not give even lighting, causing confusion in the angles of the workout and the shadows are off. ... They also use spotlights in the rooms. Terrible.

The location is perfect. Situated in the heart of the CBD. Tram stop out at the front door which makes it easy to get around the city. The rooms are quiet generous in size. Blossom’s Roof top bar make delicious pizza’s which go down well with a cocktail and the staff are very helpful. We travel to Melbourne every year to watch footy and have stayed at a lot of different hotels. There is lots of walking involved to get to them. I think we have found the perfect location. This is our second stay here and I know we will return again.

Not much to dislike.

The thoughtful things that was included like hair dryer,curling iron, ironing board and iron, tea and coffee facilities. The location was great. Very convenient to shops and eating places. Modern and clean hotel.

Daily cleaning was not done because of not staff issues. When asked, vouchers were given as compensation to use in the hotel. Would have preferred cash back. Not enough hangers and drawers for clothes. Pillows were too soft. Requested for memory foam pillows which was much better. I requested for room on higher floor to avoid the noise since the hotel is located on the busy Swanston street. No drinking water was provided in the room.

The food and staff at Eva Restaurant was fantastic. I didn’t get to go to the rooftop bar as there was a private function, but I am sure the service would have been just as good because the staff was very friendly and helpful to direct us towards Eva or give me a call if or when there are space at the rooftop bar. The kids were also super impressed with their whole experience at the Pullman.

The designated self-parking at 180 Russell was quite far away and the parking does not have any elevator. Thankfully we only had light bags but had we came with large bags then it would be a real hassle to bring it up and down to the car.

The location is amazing. There are plenty of food in the area just outside the hotel - the second you walk out. The tram station is also just outside. You can easily go to QV mall, state library, Myer, Melbourne central by foot. Location is fantastic! I would say the room is alright. We were quite happy we managed to check in at 10am as we had an overnight flight.

The bathroom is really small, not to my liking. There was also no nice view for us. I guess it’s okay since we were out the entire day.

The location is excellent as it is in the heart of shopping and restaurants. There were a lot of Asian restaurants just round the corner. The room which we took had access to the lounge and the staff in the lounge were excellent and friendly. The conceirge was extremely helpful and hardworking with particular mention of Bob. The trams stops are just a few steps out of the door of the hotel. For the reception, Clement has to be commended for his helpfulness as we had requested for a high floor and a quiet room but on the second round of stay, we were initially given a low floor room. This was not good for us as we are light sleepers. Clement managed to arrange for us to have a high floor even though the hotel was quite full. If you are a light sleeper, you should request for a quiet room and a high floor as on a Saturday when we were there, the noise level was high.

We stayed twice in this hotel and in our first round, we had booked 2 rooms. The reception had trouble finding one of our bookings. Although some of those in the reception were extremely helpful, some were not so friendly and helpful.

It was good! Initially I was given a room that did not have a good city view but the staff were awesome and changed the room, which was amazing considering it was a busy peak time (new years eve) and we were very lucky to get a higher floor room that had much better city views so we were able to see the fireworks so a BIG thank you to all the wonderful staff for getting me a better room, I really appreciated that. The room was lovely, spacious, comfortable, good air conditioning, good city views on floor 11, loved the bathroom, shower was perfect and large, and comfortable all over. Love that they provided liquid hand soap and body wash, which was brilliant! Wifi was great! The valet parking was really good and I appreciated that they looked after my car in their undercover parking. Very happy! Again the staff were just brilliant and very friendly!

No netflix, and the pillows are too flat. I made a comment about this last time a couple of years ago but this has been ignored. Please don't ignore people's comments to improve things. Many people don't like flat soft pillows, not good for the neck. Plush fatter pillows are better.
