YTI Garden Hotel

Hotel location is in the city center, a lot of places are very walkable. My room was facing the rear side so no noises from the street at the front. Staff at reception are friendly and helpful. Price is great for somewhere central and the room is of decent quality. Bed, bedsheets and linens were clean. Room is warm when i set it to be.

The window blinds could not fully cover the window and there were gaps at the sides, the brightly lit multilevel parking building was shining straight into the room - it was OK for me but those who wants pitch black room to sleep please take note. Also please be reminded that this building/property can be somewhat aged so the actual room and furnishings may look a bit older and worn out compared to the photos.

The room was perfectly adequate with a kitchenette and tea/coffee supplied. The bed was queen and comfortable and the bathroom clean with a great shower. There was enough room for two suit cases to be open and still move around plus a wardrope with hanging space and an iron. There was also 24 hour reception and the location was excellent for eating and shopping, and access to trams.

There was no house keeping but we simply asked for new towels half way through our 6 day stay and they were immediatley and pleasently supplied. The hallway carpet has seen better days and gives a slightly bad impression. The biggest let down was the noise over the weekend but this is no fault of the accommodation and to be expected in the central city.

Excellent location and value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. I requested something and it was done immediately.

It is nice place and with the location being in an ally, it's nice. It does seem scary and dodgy but it isn't that bad. It's not as nice as the pictures make it out to be but I wasn't bad. The beds were nice. The apartment was a good size for a few days for a few people. I would definitely stay there again. The information about the place is correct.

I didn't like that some of the cutlery were a bit dirty and that none of the utensils matched but I didn't use them. It would have been nice to have a lock on the bathroom door. The toilet paper is hung in a weird spot and you have to turn a little to grab it but the spot is understandable. The pillows were too soft for my preference but it's ok. The wifi was a bit dodge but it's life.

Ideal location, I had to return by tram very late, past midnight and it was good to have 24 hour reception waiting, also walking distance to shopping, sightseeing, plenty of restaurants, Victoria market.

I was unlucky the wifi didn’t work in my room for the whole weekend I stayed which caused problems for my stay. Staff said they were trying to get it attended to and it came on 9am Monday morning before I left. Also not so important but it’s worth knowing the kitchen has a cook top but no microwave which is the usual, ok but a little unexpected for planning quick meals I brought for my stay. There was a nearby bar in the laneway next door which could be excitable and loud quite late on the weekend but not an issue for me.

The location of the hotel is perfect! Very close to key sights and attractions. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room itself was spacious with great amenities and facilities. The kitchen too was a plus and though we didn't use it on our 1 night stay I would imagine it would come in handy if you were staying for a few nights. Spacious bathroom with great hot water and water pressure!

The lighting in the room was a bit on the dim side but apart from that there was nothing I didn't like

The position is very central, close to trams and convenience stores. There are many choices of Restaurants, also an easy walk to China Town. The beds are comfortable and the mini kitchen is handy to have available. The hair and body products were good quality. Also very good to have 24 hour reception.

The room would have been a bit better with a small Microwave and larger milk sachets.

Close to everything in central Melbourne, trams close by so easy to get around, lots of options for eating. Hotel was quite but was there on Monday & Tuesday night. Beds were really comfortable, no bedside lamp in twin room but asked reception in morning and one was in room when we returned from breakfast. Hotel isn't anything fancy but it was clean and great value for money, definitely stay there again

Shower has no door so need to be careful but not a huge issue, TV had poor signals on HD channels but again not a huge issue as just used as background noise. Hotel is abit outdated and could do with a paint to freshen it up

This is an excellent value hotel in a fantastic location. My room was very well fitted out with a basic kitchenette, small fridge, toaster, kettle, hotplate with two elements and basic cutlery, pans and crockery. There was even an iron and a hairdryer. The shower was hot and great pressure and the bathroom also included dispensers with shaving cream, handwash, hand and body cream, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The bed was comfortable and there were two separate seating areas. There was also a roomy cupboard/dresser where I could store my clothes along with plenty of hangers. There were also two separate small bedside tables where you could store items as well. The kitchenette had a reasonable amount of cupboard space to store food items too. There was a well located powerpoint where I could recharge my phone.

The fridge could be a little tricky. It either froze my food or it didn't chill it - it took a while to find a happy medium. The decor is a bit outdated as other reviews have mentioned but it didn't bother me at all, especially considering how great value the hotel was.

The location was excellent. Close to tram stations and near many shopping and hangout attractions. It was easy to travel to surrounding areas. The Wednesday night market was outstanding and very close to the hotel. The room had several facilities-Electric kettle, refrigerator, stove, milk sachets, coffee powder and tea bags, A/C and heater in one, ironing board with iron, table, chair, wifi, TV with basic channels, comfortable double bed with quilt, towels and liquid soap in the bathroom/toilet. There was a common laundry and microwave oven. The only issue I may mention is that the bathing shower area door was missing, so the entire lavatory used to get flooded.
