Beautiful old building with great location especially the number of lovely cafes on the street, and close to shops and restaurants. Staff were lovely and helpful. They recommended a cafe for breakfast and it was the best. Our room ( even though it was not one of the bigger ones) was very big with lots of space for suitcases. Everything was very clean and felt new. Good size bathroom. What I loved the most was the linen…have never stayed in a hotel with such great quality sheets. As for the duvet cover, it was sooo soft and thick, it felt like velvet. I also loved the fact that it was a proper duvet cover that encased the duvet. I hate hotels that wrap the duvet with 2 sheets and it always unravels in the night and I find that unhygienic. I wanted to purchase the same sheets for home….they were absolutely the best quality linen that I have ever encountered and we have stayed in many luxury hotels.

Only there one night, but is a definite favourite for our next visit. The Staff were brilliant, very friendly and professional. The room has to be one of the best we have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable, if anything the quilt was a but small for the bed. The bathroom is perfect, a bath big enough for two, big shower, plenty of soaps, shampoos etc, even a bath bomb! We had cocktails and beer up at the rooftop bar, lovely place to sit and enjoy the view. Also outside seating, Nice to sit and people watch. Very highly recommend staying, my only regret is we couldn’t stay longer, but will definitely be staying again
Loved everything, nothing negative at all.

The location was central so easy access to various bars and restaurants. The rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful - highly recommend. My girlfriends were very happy with the rooms I had booked. The balcony was great for a few bevy's and nibbles before we ventured out. We also enjoyed the "live" band down in the bar area on the ground floor - bar staff amazing and great atmosphere!
Very minor, but on arrival into our room it did smell a little "musty" or very stale air. Perhaps open the window maybe an hour before guests arrive??

The National Hotel has such beautiful new rooms respecting the heritage of this historic hotel. Very comfy and private with all the features you would expect at a top-class hotel. For the price we paid this surprised us. It was so close to everything we wanted to see that we just walked. We should have taken our hire car back earlier as we didn't need it. We enjoyed the live music and had the restaurant food down in the pub on the Monday night. Room service was well done too.
We were hoping to visit Rottnest Island but the Ferry was cancelled due to weather. There were more than enough excellent attractions to fill in the extra day we had within walking distance of the hotel. It was great to have a lift but once or twice it wasn't working for a short time.

Wonderful location for my 60th celebration last night. Roof top for champagne and canapés, all pre arranged but a bit unorganised and had to chase up everything several times unfortunately. Long table dinner on the verandah on level 1 was lovely. I set a nautical theme centre piece prior to dinner. Ruby was incredible in the restaurant and worked very hard. The food was fantastic and everyone commented they were happy with their food choices. Our room No 2 was really lovely. Other guests who stayed for the convenience, weren’t thrilled. Rooms small.

The location was great and walking distance from almost all the shops and bars. The staff were really nice and would help if you had any questions and the beds were very comfortable as well. I would book again.
I made the mistake of not bringing my own shampoo and conditioner and the hotel did not have good options for my hair and I didn't feel like it cleaned my hair well. Another thing I did ask room service to stock up my waters and I waited for 15 minutes and they never came.

I liked that my room was located in a hallway that had a secured door to it, so as a solo female I knew I had a extra barrier between other people knowing exactly my room. As public were able to access the outer area via lift and stairs.
There was no hand towel rail or a small wash cloth. I couldn't open the window for some fresh air but I get that due to being on 3rd floor it's a safety issue.

It is in a great, buzzy location, and our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff provided exceptional service so we had a lovely stay. Great pillows and pillow choices. We like to explore so we enjoyed finding many places to eat. The rooftop bar was very pleasant with gentle breezes in the eve. We stayed midweek and it was great.
Our room had many great refreshment choices, however I would like more coffee... we drink too much coffee! The location may be noisy at the weekend so it may be worthwhile to research further if peace is essential for you. We did find one tour not available on Wed and Thurs which was a pity, so one would assume not enough demand? Midweek upside are less crowds and queues.

Loved the space and the balcony. Be sure to get a balcony room. The whole place has a very relaxed nature about it and the location is absolutely perfect!
It’s in the heart of Fremantle so can be rowdy and noisy but this didn’t bother us . Reception opens at 9, so you buy breakfast down the road. Note this is a very nice room with lovely staff above a pub. It’s not a hotel.

Location great, lots of good restaurants, bars and boutiques. Heaps of touristy things to do like in the area as well. We got room 7 and it was big and comfortable. Really like the design and the use of antiques. Roof top bar has a great view but the drinks were bit more expensive than i thought they should be, $28 for a fancy G&T.
Couldn’t access rooftop bar in the morning, would have been nice as a hotel guests to go up with a cup of tea in the morning. Check in and check out process could be improved.
