The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lady working at the luggage desk! Our room was very clean, comfortable and cosy. The carpet was so soft and lovely underfoot. The spa worked with some jets but needs maintenance/updating. The room had a very large balcony overlooking the pool. Excellent location for local restaurants, brewery and historical places including the Fremantle Prison.

The balcony was very sparse and empty.Just bare concrete with a couple of small metal chairs. No table for two. I jazzed it up with my fairy lights, candles and towels I have been using along the way on our one month holiday staying at many places down the Coral Coast(See photos). The balconies here could easily be made to feel on par with the rooms by painting/ tiling the concrete and placing an economical table and chairs for two from Bunnings on each balcony. Perhaps even a potted plant?

The location of the hotel was perfect for us travelling with a 2 year old. It was opposite a park with a playground and allowed us to walk around town. The room was clean with a balcony to dry our swimmers and to hang out on while the bub slept.

The parking situation is a bit rough $30 per day for the hotel car park or juggling it on the street, but I guess in a city you semi expect that. Also, They had a great pool, but the gym shouldnt really be called a gym! it had old equipment and a bike that didnt work and a few dumbells. Two people could not work out in that size space.

Carpet underlay was super comfortable for a hotel, laundry facilities were fantastic, ability to avoid daily room servicing in exchange for $10 refund per day.

Would have been good if the balcony had a table like in the photo so could sit outside longer and little improvements like dishwashing liquid etc so could be more like an apartment, if we avoid daily room servicing we can then clean up ourselves.

Whilst we were as far from the lift as possible!! the room was lovely - large, clean and extremely quiet.

Kitchen closed at 8.30pm. We were there for an evening function which finished at 8.30ish so had to leave early to ensure we could get food!! Had same issue on a previous occasion but very disappointing (yes we can get room service until 9.30pm but were with a group of 8 friends). Could not even get a coffee at 8.45pm!! as Marine Bar staff said food and coffee not available at that time. There were a lot of people around so surprised food and coffee closed off so early. Website says kitchen closes at 9.00pm - but definitely closed 12 months ago and this week at 8.30pm.

Love the location, near everything. We had a nice quiet room, got upgraded to a king spa with somewhat views being on the 4th floor. Really appreciated the bubbles on arrival in our room when I mentioned it was my partners birthday when booking.

The only issue was the door whistled due to the pressure in the room from the AC. You could giggle the door and it stop for a bit but it kept waking us up in the night several times. Eventually we just left the door open. It was quiet enough outside so didn’t hear much noise from the street. I did mention this to the staff on checkout where they took note of the issue.

Location was great and was a pleasant stay.

The only issue with the hotel was ordering food and drinks from the pool side. When trying to order via the QR code, when you complete your order it ask you to enter your phone number on the first order so they can send you a four digit code via SMS. The issue was it would only let you enter an Australian phone number. It wouldn’t allow us to enter our UK phone number. The pool side bar isn’t open during the week so we had to walk to the bar inside the hotel. Maybe using email address would be a better option.

Location was perfect ,room was compact , breakfast enjoyable except big posters saying children aged between 12- 16 pay $14 and when pointed it out at reception at breakfast was told no your teenage daughters pay full price and the poster was was a few feet away from her .Did not argue as I did not want to embarrass my grandchildren .in saying that all other staff and visitors where extemely friendly

Attitude of breakfast receptionist

Our stay at the Esplanade was a very positive experience. The check in staff were friendly and very happy to assist with any queries we had, all facilities were clean, easily accessible and the room service staff were very helpful and friendly. There is also a great selection at the buffet breakfast. The Esplanade is centrally located with everything at your doorstep which made our stay more amazing. We highly recommend The Esplanade as we had such an enjoyable experience.

There is nothing to comment as I did not find any thing at fault

Stunning room, really well laid out with a generous balcony overlooking the super inviting pool area. The room was of a larger than average hotel room size, with a full sofa/lounge area in front of the king size bed, and a very space bathroom with spa. The room was super clean and inviting. Mini bar prices were reasonable.

No one was rude, but staff were clearly too busy to properly greet us, and we were rushed through check out too. We were given incorrect directions to find our room, they didn’t inform us of check in or out times, etc. In saying that, there was a conference on this weekend and having both worked in hospitality, we could tell things looked pretty understaffed, so we appreciated the frontline team members doing their best to get all the jobs done.

The staff and location were definitely the highlight for me with a great location by the water and in the heart of many shops, cafes and restaurants. I would have liked a hotel with a few more amenities. The gym was at best a nod to the concept of a hotel gym with no towels, drinking water or range of equipment. I found everyone very obliging nonetheless.

Drivo was not very helpful and it ended up costing me a lot of money. I think the set up and explanation of the service could be far better handled. The staff have helped organise a refund which is a relief. I was also baffled by the EV charging station out the front. No signs or explanation and none of the chargers worked.
