The size of the room (Superior Double) is very large if you choose the one without outdoor verandah. The rooms are well lit with about 9 lamps. The windows can be opened well for ventilation. The location near the Wien Hbf was good for trains and underground and for even eating food or buying food. The breakfast was reasonably good.

They have no kettle in the room and supplies for coffee and tea. The only 4 star hotel without this. In England, even a 2 star hotel would have tea kettle. The bath tub needs a handle on the wall, for stepping out, to avoid falling. The front door opens outwards and not inwards. The internet is unprotected with no password, you need a VPN to have security. The breakfast was unchanged over 4 days.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the railway station. The bed was very comfortable, the room quiet - it was facing the back yard. I had very good sleep. Breakfast was not too diverse but good enough for me. Overall I had a nice experience as for one night before two trips

The hotel is a bit shabby and it was under construction as I arrived. I don't know if it's bothering during the day as I arrived late and left early enough. Mini bar in the room was empty, you have to go downstairs to buy things, and a so called bottles of welcome water was 4 EUR - it's a bit of a rip-off considering the price per night. No kettle in the room either. Overall, nothing major but those little touches that make your stay more pleasant were absent

Location is 3-5 minutes walk from main trainstation. Near the hotel (1 minute) is city bus stop which will take you directly to the Maria-hilfe strasse. If you need to go other direction just go back to main trainstation, there are many city buses, trams and metro. Room was quite big and cozy. Climatization was in the room, temperature control was central, so you could not change it (or i did not figure it out), but you could turn on/off, it was preset to 22 degrees, that is ok for me.

Hotel is under reconstruction, so there is some noices, but only during the day. At night it was a really quiet place. The view to the street was blocked by the construction site, but i guess that was the reason, why it was so quiet, even situated to the street with big traffic.

Located near the bahn. The room was an adequate size for a solo traveler. It was clean enough. The mattress was thick and comfortable. The bathroom with a shower was large. Has a balcony facing the street on the bahn side

It had a balcony but I couldn't have the door open with all the noise and fumes from the busy street below. The shower (although it's large) has no door to keep the floor from flooding. It has an air conditioner that never cooled the room. The man at check in refused to acknowledge me, so I waited for a shift change to check in with a very pleasant and helpful woman. (In the morning, check out was a breeze with a nice young man)

Friendly and professional receptionist made us feel very welcome. She also helped us find somewhere nice to eat out the first night and shared a lot of local knowledge about tourist attractions, public transport and more. This is a great location, very close to the main station, underground and trams, but there is very good sound insulation with double window units so you couldn't hear any street noise. The curtains were fully light proof. The rooms were reasonable sized: not huge but enough room to move around the large beds. Our rooms were well equipped and well maintained, including the bathrooms. The free luggage store was very much appreciated and their luggage ticketing and collection system was reassuring. The air conditioning worked very well and was quiet.

The hotel was undergoing phased renovation while we were there, so the first impression was of a building covered in scaffolding and there were some signs of building work going on in places inside. However they did a good job of containing the work so we never heard any construction noise and there was no dust or mess anywhere.

We arrived late morning by train and asked if we could leave our luggage someplace while we began our excursions into the city. The very helpful desk clerk checked the status of our room and allowed us to go ahead and check in and take all of our belongings to our room immediately. What a great start to our day! The next morning when we checked out, we were planning to spend the full day doing more running around, so they graciously kept our luggage in a room off of the lobby. Very helpful tips re: buses and other public transport as well. We were impressed with the staff, and so glad we had taken the train into Vienna instead of driving. This location - right near the main train station - was perfect.

We were surprised to see scaffolding all over the outside of the building as we approached. Perhaps construction and renovations were mentioned in the online info, but if so, we hadn't noticed it. However, the inside of the building was still very neat and welcoming, and our room was clean and comfortable. The hallways were covered with a protective material (I guess to protect the floors from workers and any equipment), but after the first impression, none of this diminished our enjoyment of our stay.

I really liked the old fashioned (traditionell) style of the hotel but some new things are added. for example they use keycards instead of keys. I also had a old writing table in my room which helped me boost my creativity. The staff is very competent and very friendly.

it’s in renovation at the moment. but this will make it great and shine again. traffic from the street is very noisy. but it has double glass so you will hear nearly nothing.

The hotel is very close to the central train station as well as tram and subway. It has air conditioning so pretty ideal for hot summer. The room is big enough with a desk, tv, and a fridge. The 10-Euro breakfast is simple with enough variety--better than many hotels in the US. Staffs are friendly. It's right next to the street, but is very quiet. I will recommend it to travelers of short stay.

This is an old building, and furniture and deco can be old too. The sofa chair in the room has a lot of stains, which might be a problem for people who put cleanness as priority. The bathroom/toilet is very small, which reminds you of equivalence in Japan or Hong Kong. When using the toilet your knees can hit the wall. The glass door to the shower has a very strange design that doesn't prevent water from spilling over the floor. All above are not extremely annoying for short stay.

Room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. It had a balcony, where you could sit and enjoy a drink, and another balcony was accessible from the hall. Location was also excellent and walking distance to the heart of the city and 4-minute walk to the main train station. There are lots of shops and restaurants around. It looks like there is also great public transportation system available but I did not need it. Breakfast is not included in price of the hotel room but for 10 euros you have excellent breakfast (buffet style) served on white tablecloths available in the hotel.

There was nothing I didn't like.
