Great location near the beach and the promenade to walk along. Excellent breakfast. Good soft play area for the little one to run off some energy before we put her in the car for a journey. The requested parking was right outside the hotel. The fold-down beds in the room were useful to give us more space during the day (when folded up). The staff were excellent.

The room was very hot and we needed to keep the windows open, however on Friday and Saturday a bar one block away was very loud and we could clearly hear the music in the room. Each floor has different coloured corridors but the colours were horrendous; we had shocking pink walls and doors. Would be better with something neutral throughout to keep in with the character of the ground floor.

I liked everything, starting with the most smooth and informative check-in I have experienced with a hotel stay. I regret not remembering the name of the gentleman in question, because I would have gladly shared that information. Although he was one of a team of at least two with the day shift and they were all very friendly and accommodating. It was the service that you would hope to find, but it was obvious that they were willing to go further to find a solution, where one wasn't necessarily required. I really appreciated this. As we were in town for a tournament, I decided to make use of the option to book dinner at the hotel to save us the hassle of looking for a place to eat every evening. The price of 30 EUR per person seemed reasonable to me and I didn't give it much more thought. I also didn't have high expectations otherwise, but I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality, variety and high standard of the buffet offered on both evenings. The food was really good and the (kitchen) staff was without exception very friendly, calm and collected. I would also like to give a shout-out to the maître d'hôtel overseeing this service. Everything was obviously well organized, also going by the nice atmosphere. The same goes for breakfast. Excellent selection of food and once again well organised. Outside the reception area, we only made use of the breakfast/dining area during our stay because there wasn't time for anything else and we only saw the bar area in passing. These spaces have clearly been refurbished in a modern style and are very pleasant and cosy, which you don't expect looking at the exterior of the hotel. We had a family room and it was VERY spacious. The beds were excellent. Very good mattresses. We have a difficult sleeper who slept very well nevertheless, which is saying something.

Only one thing really: the coffee. Even though I'm not a snob when it comes to this and I'm easily pleased in this regard, I think this would be worth looking into, because of the quality of everything else on offer.

I have an intolerance to dairy but there weren't any alternatives available on the first morning at breakfast. However the staff were very helpful and they purchased some soya milk for the following day. So I would advise you to inform them beforehand if you have any special dietary requirements - I am sure they tell you to on the information and I just didn't see it and just presumed alternatives would be available as they are in most hotels in England.

The staff where brilliant, nothing was to much trouble.The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good,It was all there and plenty of it. I loved it so much I will stay there again.

The only downside was the coffee and Hot Chocolate machine in the breakfast area.The Chocolate was weak and the coffee was as well. I did mention this to the manager on the day.

Stayed at the Ostend many times and we love it after the last recent refit its a great central place to stay a few yards from the beach and harbour. Breakfast is plentiful with a great hot and cold selection and great coffee served buffet style. Its nice to come back for a quiet drink at the bar which serves some great beer on tap.

Location, price (with simple but decent breakfast included), staff, bed, fitness room.

Water pressure, the strange colour of each floor 😆😆😆, the slightly dated piping, wiring and sockets in the room, the poor soundproof, the running kids in the corridor at 6am.

There as always at least one person at reception and they were always very helpful -- "yes we can keep that in the hotel fridge for you!" Reserved parking -- I'd have been in big trouble if I'd had to rely on on-street parking or car parks. Hotel bar -- it's always nice to be remembered between visits

All the usual breakfast items available -- except bacon. And the sausages tasted a little odd. No toaster that I could find in the breakfast room

Family friendly hotel, loved the indoor playground for kids keeping them busy while parents relax nearby, location is perfect for beach trips, Family room very spacious. Breakfast was the highlight, great variety and exceptional coffees.

Location was good and the luxury room was nice. All the employees were really kind and helpful.

Unfortunately the smoking place was just in front of the entrance, which was probably the reason for the smell of smoking insde as well.

At reception they were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with all our questions. They were very welcoming. The room was cosy and clean. The breakfast was great enough to choose from my daughters enjoyed the little pancakes. They loved the play area. There is a lot to do in and outside the hotel. We didn't want to go home 2 nights isn't long enough.

We felt a little uncomfortable because one off the waiters kept staring at people while they were eating. Room service didn't leave enough towels and I asked for a clean bed sheet because my little girl wasn't well ate to much chocolate they didn't leave one but at the reception they handled it perfectly. Sorry I didn't enjoy the coffee.
