Hello, I have a lot to say about this place. First of all, David, the owner picked us up from the hotel and gave us coconuts and fresh, scented towels. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the airport, and NOT in an expat area, which is why we liked it.We were very close to local 'suburbia' of Cambodia in Siem Reap, we walked around and met local families and our kids played football with some kids, once they got home from school. From our hotel it was a 10 minute TukTuk ride, free from the hotel, and 5-6USD when you returned. The service was above and beyond. The comfort also was above and beyond.The staff felt like they all enjoyed working together, and were friends, which also made us feel happy.We were offered great tours and also had a massage service for me and my husband. I have nothing but good to say about this place. You can go to a large hotel, but I am not sure you would get any sense of Cambodia, if you do. If we can come back here, we will...I am Canadian, My husband is British, our children are 13 and 11, if this helps for foreigners and families travelling...Much love to David, his Hotel staff and their establishment. We stayed at the hotel for one night before starting on a tour of Cambodia with a tour company. I cannot recommend this place enough. We had airport pickup included. The driver met us with a smile on his face. The hotel is a 10-min drive from the airport. In those few minutes, we had a cold towel to refresh and a cold coconut water drink. The moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and ensured we had a lovely stay. The room was huge and beautiful, had everything you could possibly want. We were so thrilled to have complementary fruits, a bottle of wine with cheese and nuts as well as crisps. The fridge came stocked with complementary water and fizzy drinks. We also had dinner at the restaurant. It was unbelievably good. We got the pumpkin soup, which was a delight and the main course was also amazing. The owner came out to have a chat with us and every staff member we interacted with were so welcoming. If you are ever in Siem Reap, I would highly recommend this place.

Nothing - everything was great

Everything about our stay at the Shintana Saya residence was fabulous from the second we were picked up at the airport. David and his staff greeted us with a coconut drink and cool towels as they escorted us to the hotel. We were greeted by a full staff who provided the most exceptional service the whole stay. We were a family of five, and felt like they anticipated all of our needs, and met every request with a smile and exceptional service. The grounds of the hotel have some beautiful lush gardens, lovely pool and the decor was modern with traditional statement pieces. Everything was wonderfully clean. The breakfast provided was exceptional with many choices, and they were always quick to offer fresh fruit throughout the day. The hotel also provides wonderful concierge services of arranging rides on tuk-tuks, cars, and dinner reservations. We had them arrange for us to see a traditional Aspara dance while having dinner at a local restaurant. On our last morning, we only had about four hours until we had to leave for the airport. David arranged for a driver to take us to the Cambodian Land Mines Museum, which I highly recommend. It was very educational for my children. The driver also took us through a local village on our way back. We had the opportunity to see the wonderful countryside, taste some local treats, like palm sugar candies, Cambodian cakes and buy traditional Cambodian scarves from the small village market. Shintana Saya made our visit to Angkor Wat and Cambodia very memorable.

great place . in lovely villa with lovely grounds and pool. room was large and very nice. but big thing was friendly and helpful staff. like every tourist we were in siem reep for angkor wat. they booked a great guide (tiger) and tuk tuk driver (mr pich). mr pich also drove us to three great restos in turn and picked us up. resto was very nice for cooked breakfast and some lunches and poolside drinks. a great place

we loved it all but do note it is not in center of town so maybe a 10 minute tuk tuk to town restos (though note hotel provides tuk tuk both ways). not being in town not a big deal since you need a tuk tuk to get to angkor wat from anywhere in siem reep.

The Hotel was the perfect base during our time in Siem Reap. We stayed for 6 nights which was great to explore most of Angkor Wat and Siem Reap in a relaxed way. And even after this time it was hard to say goodbye. The hotel owner David and all his staff are super warm and attentive. They really make sure everything is perfect. Everytime they surprised us with different little treats like fruit juices, delicious banana chips or fresh fruit in the room. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. Our room was spacious (we even got an upgrade!) and very clean. Breakfast and all food in the hotel‘s restaurant were delicious. Everything was just perfect! we booked tours through the hotel with a TukTuk - Rorth was our driver for the whole time and we loved him! The hotel is not directly in the city center. But it is very quiet (the neighborhood is safe too!) and you can order a TukTuk at the reception at any time. It‘s 3$ return.

The superb room, location and most importantly..excellent serivce from David (owner) and his crew I would highly recommend Shintaya Saya Residence. We had complimentary airport transfers and David personally drove us. The mini bar was always filled up. Daily refreshments like juice and fresh fruits awaits us in the evening. And did I mentioned the welcome drink was a lovely bottle of wine ! The pool is always clean and room was super big!! location wise was great too as it's near to Angkor wat, and yet not too far from the city. Our driver, Wan would waited for us to finish our meal, when he realise the restaurant was very far out. The part that touched me most was when David, wife and crew appeared with roses and cake at hotel door step to celebrate with my birthday with me. What a surprise!! Big shout-out and Thank you to David & his team for making my birthday and 1st trip in Cambodia such a special one.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Shintana Saya. I can honestly say that the service we received was the best we have ever experienced (and we travel a lot staying in 5 star properties all around the world). David and his team go above and beyond to ensure everything is taken care of. From pick up and drop off at the airport (complete with cold coconuts and cool towels to refresh), fruit platters and wine in the room, included minibar which is restocked daily, the attention to detail is impeccable. The team also helped us to arrange private English speaking guide and driver at a reasonable price so we could visit the temples and floating village. They also helped book other activities and provided great advice on key things to do. I was initially worried whether the location would be suitable to get to and from the town but it was very convenient with Tuk Tuks on standby to take you wherever you wanted to go at any time (also complementary!) and easy to book the return trip back with the Tuk Tuk for a small flat fee. My sons shoes got really muddy quad biking, they saw me trying to clean them and immediately took them away and helped to clean them up. David also offered us a complementary meal in the restaurant which served nice food. Hotel rooms were spacious, very clean and the grounds of the property were beautiful. Looks exactly as pictured. In case you are considering this hotel for your trip to Siem Reap I would highly recommend it and urge you to book it as you won’t be disappointed!

A small point only but the food service in the restaurant was a little slow. I think with tourism still not recovered due to COVID they have limited kitchen staff and are making everything fresh so it can take a bit of time (just something to keep in mind in case you are short in time). Regardless this did not take away from the amazing experience we had here.

Gorgeous cozy boutique style property with 9 rooms (I think?) tucked away in a beautiful garden on side street of Siem Reap. The staff were amazing and welcomed me at the airport with a coconut and I also had a bottle of wine and fruit waiting for me in the room! the staff helped suggest tours and things to see. Always with a warm welcome smile:) The restaurant offered a delicious complimentary breakfast. Lunch and dinner were also good but expansive. I was pampered and well taken care of. Tuk Tuk into town was available at any hour and cost $3 for return trip. My room was spacious, bright, king bed was super comfortable and clean with turn down service even at night. the pool and garden are beautiful! I highly recommend this property.

I didn’t care for the shower (for a girl the rain type shower was so far away on the high ceiling and I didn’t always want to wash my hair but kind of impossible to not get wet) there was no separate shower head closer. the water pressure wasn’t so great and also it wasn’t very warm ( I extended and had to move rooms and it was the same in both) Also, the toilet seat looked dirty or stained in both rooms. I would suggest new shower and toilets because everything else seemed 4-5 star but a few little touches were missed. the location was fine but it did take time to get into town (like 15 minutes by Tuk Tuk so it takes time to go to and from). It was too far to walk to town.

The staff is absolutely fantastic, dedicated, helpful, smiling, very very very kind lovely people. The hotel is a human sized hotel, only 9 rooms with lots of greens and nicely decorated. Quiet peaceful area, only 10 min from downtown by tuktuk. Free tuktuk transfer from hotel to downtown. Warm welcome by David, the owner, with fresh towels and fresh coconuts served directly in the (free) limousine from the airport to the hotel. A bottle of French Bordeau wine was waiting for us in our room upon arrival. Fresh fruit juices and fresh fruits served in the room each day à when coming back to our room. The hotel staff is willing to help and responded instantaneously to any of our wishes. And so many kind attentions that I can’t list everything here. warm thanks to David, to Reena and to all the lovely staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shintana Saya Residence. The accommodation is very stylish and modern. The staff is extremely friendly and really fulfilled all of our wishes. Starting with the owner David, every person at the reception/ the restaurant/ the cleaners/ the drivers &&&. They arranged everything for us (Airport transfer, drivers for angkor/ to pub street/ to Koh Chang and many more). So many things were included. We felt very comfortable and can really recommend the residence to everyone. Thank you very much for this unforgettable moments.
