The hotel is in a great location, a short walk down to the shops etc without being so close that it's noisy. I'm not sure why people are saying the rooms are small or dated, ours was huge and even had a balcony which was excellent. Hot tub looked great but we didn't use it. Staff were friendly.

The only two things we didn't like were the lack of hanging space in the room. It had two coat hooks but nowhere to hang coathangers etc and not much space in the bathroom. Also the train noises through the night, but this isn't the hotel's fault and they were so loud we could hear them up Sulphur Mountain too.

The location was excellent. It was a 5 minute walk to the heart of main street. The room was spacious, the AC was ice cold, the fridge, coffeemaker and micowave worked well. The flatscreen TV was about 40 inches and had a good selection of cable channels. The beds were 10/10...VERY comfortable. I loved the balcony overlooking main street. We didn't hear a sound from the street, other rooms or the hall. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. (First time in 4 years of holidays in 5 different cities that housekeeping has popped by to see if we needed anything.) The elevator was fast. The underground parking was not full and it was free. The office and restaurant are next door. The breakfast available at the restaurant was excellent.

Another guest had to direct me to the building next door for check in. The hallways are straight out of the 1960s--dark panel wainscoatig, vinyl wallpaper, brown and cream carpet, and old style doors. But the rooms are 100% up to date, so no big deal at all.

The location of the Inn was good, and a short walk to downtown. There is a transit bus stop virtually outside the hotel with a direct link to the Banff Gondola. The staff are friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking including underground parking but there is no elevator to this parking.

There is no check-in at this hotel,as you have to go to the adjacent Irwins hotel for all queries.

The hotel accommodated my request and provided me the room on top floor and the rocky mountains view from the room was amazing. The room was clean with nice little coffee maker and fridge and the beds were comfy too. Overall was very good stay and we enjoyed it along with family.

I had a fairly strong allergic reaction to washing powder that is used to clean their sheets and pillowcases. Alex from housekeeping came in and stripped the bed and re-washed everything without in hot water without the detergent, and put it all back on. He was so empathetic and happy to do it for me, and I was so appreciative. It fixed the issue and my reaction went away immediately. Aside from that, the Rocking Mountain Soap products are fantastic!!! That was such a wonderful product to have in the room and really impressed us!

This hotel and the hotel next door share a check-in desk. I get that it’s for efficiency, but it would help to have very large clear signage in the lobby of the red carpet so you don’t go looking for a non-existent reception desk and have to ask other guests where to go.

Good location within easy walking distance of the centre of Banff. Room comfortable with good facilities - e.g. big TV, coffee maker etc. Parking at the back for free, and let us extend beyond checkout time which was considerate.

No reception. You have to go next door to another hotel for info etc. although you can ring them from the room. Car parking spaces quite tight out the back, but that's being picky to be honest.

Hotel is on the main street in Banff, so an easy walk to the shops and restaurants, but far enough away from the noise. Hot tub was so welcome after a day of hiking! The hand lotion (Rocky Mountain soap company) was such a wonderful addition for our dry skin!! Thank you!! Loved the comfortable bed and hot showers and free parking (garage or just behind the hotel). Room included microwave, refrigerator, Kuerig coffee maker, extra sink. Friendly knowledgeable staff gave helpful hints for finding things in town.

Banff is expensive. This hotel was reasonable considering the competition, but it still wasn't cheap.

Location was great. Easy stroll to the town restaurants and bars. Big room with comfortable beds.

Balcony was a bit bizarre as it had next doors (noisy) air conditioning unit on it so we couldn't use it. At 6am both mornings a bus was waiting outside for 30minutes with its engine running, so I recommend a room at the back of the hotel as we don't think the bus had anything to do with the hotel .

Great location, good price. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel was very hot. The thermostat in my room didn't work so I had to run the air conditioner (in the ski season). Not only is this really inefficient and bad for the climate but the unit was very loud so it would wake me up every time it kicked in during the night.

Large room, 5 minute walk to town, bus stop right outside. extremely convenient and really comfy beds.

The only constructive advise I have is to have more information in the rooms - regarding bus timetables, local information etc. there were no instructions for anything.
