Love this property! The only reason I didn’t give it a 10 was that I wish it had air conditioning in the bedrooms, instead of just in the common area. It was very hot the week we stayed. The hotel did provide a second fan upon request which helped. The location is awesome, an easy 10 minute flat walk to town. The hotel staff was very nice. The included breakfast was great (hot and cold buffet items; some days you ordered off a menu instead). They even packed us a breakfast the day we checked out early upon request! You can rent bear spray (free unless you use it!) for your stay from the front desk. They give you complimentary bus passes for the town (buses even go to the Gondola, hot springs and I think Lake Minnewanka). The lower level hot pool is unique too!

Lack of a/c in the bedrooms. Other than that, it’s perfect!

we booked the Queen bedroom, and 2 double bedroom suite. both rooms were great. we travelled with 2 young children. they don’t provide a pack and play or travel cot. the 2 double beds were comfortable but because we had 2 kids under 3, we needed to get creative with the sleeping arrangements. neither of our children wanted to sleep in the travel cots we brought so mom slept in the sofa bed with baby, and dad slept in the double bed with toddler. the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, very uneven surface and made my back sore every night, but the double bed downstairs where my husband and toddler slept was really lovely. so if you are planning a long stay and having one or two people on the sofa bed, I would pay for another room as it is very uncomfortable. the staff were lovely and they came and tidied/cleaned our rooms every day. it was so nice to come back to a fresh clean room every evening. we didn’t have time to use the hot pool, but it looked really nice and my toddler splashed her hands in the water a bit, she enjoyed it. my parents stayed in the queen bed room and they had a nice time. a really good space for 2 adults with a little sitting area. we walked to town for dinner every evening. my dad enjoyed breakfast at chilli’s every other morning. we all had a pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again.

the rooms were a bit dated. could do with refurbishment. but it was very nice overall

Our suite was a good size and was very clean. We liked having a kitchenette, living room and balcony. The staff were excellent: very helpful, friendly and polite. The hot pool was great. The bus stopped at the hotel to take us to the ski resorts which was very convenient. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown area or the town bus stopped at the door.

The lighting in our suite was very poor as there were were no ceiling lights, only floor lamps. This made it difficult to read tourist literature when planning our day. There were no bathrobes, which would have been helpful, going to the hot pool. The ski locker storage was in the parking garage and there was no place to sit down to put your ski boots on. A bench would have been nice to sit down on when putting on your ski boots - not all guests are young! The dining room served only Tex-Mex food which is not to our liking, so we didn’t eat dinner there.

I was exceptionally surprised and pleased with how management upgraded my room and waved the fee!! A third guest was suppose to accompany myself and a friend for my birthday stay at the fox however, very last minute was unable to attnd leaving the two of us with a large room and bigger bill than we expected. We suggested a down grade upon check in. The Fox hotel front of house staff, management and restaurant staff went above and beyond. There's a reason why I've been Visiting Banff and The Fox for the last 4 years on my birthday and not only for the infamous Hot pool. I plan to continue the trend! Thankyou!

We had a dog and getting the street accessible suite was very convenient. Nearby streets are free parking and we had a thule so it worked out perfectly (would not fit in the parkade). Loved the hot pool in the grotto. Distance to the downtore core is about a 10 min walk. Liquor store within 100 feet.

Some of the wallpaper was peeling off. Part of the banister was broken and a clothing hook was loose. Could have used a drying rack for the dishes. Small stain on the staircase but suite was generally clean.

It was close to downtown, a 10 minutes walk or use bus 1 (the hotel has a three day pass for the guests). The hot pool was nice and relaxing. The restaurant was great. The staff was super kind and helpful.

There were noises later at night outside. Someone tried to open our room's door around 11.30. Complained to the staff and they suggested that there might be people drunk and getting to the wrong room.

The staff were very very friendly and helpful. The location was really convenient to the town with a bus stop right out the front or an easy 10 minute walk. Great to not have to take the car out as parking in Banff is a nightmare. The hot springs pool in the basement was a bonus and they had washing facilities so great if you are travelling around. Complimentary continental breakfast was ok but you could do takeaway which was really handy. I would recommend this place for a family and we had a 1 bedroom suite on the ground floor at the back of the hotel which was quieter. It was well equipped and we would stay here again if we ever visited Banff again.

The only dislike was the beds were a bit small and the price but it’s peak summer season and this is what accommodation in Banff costs!

The staff was friendly and helpful. I like the facility's location. Minutes from cascade garden and all of the shops. The grocery store is nearby as well. I liked the hot pool with the jets and the sauna. Continental breakfast consists of fresh fruit, waffles, cereals, juice, coffee, grits, pastries...if you want eggs, bacon, ham you have to order from the chilies menu. The Chillis manager or coordinator was a great host. I liked her the most. She made sure everyone was taken cared of. Our room was a suite with a king. The bed was excellent. The sofa turned into bed and my son enjoyed it. The room was stocked with tea, coffee, microwave, toaster, mini fridge, spoons, forks, cutting board with knive, cups, plates and bowls. There was an AC unit in the room which worked. We stayed on room 416 the balcony oversees the mountains and a church. The TV channels could be improved alot of sports channels also the TV brightness could not be adjusted to bright, because it automatically goes back to dim. Overall we enjoyed our stay! And will be coming back. This place is 1.5 hours away from Calgary Airport.

The gym could be better. It was a very small room enough for one person to work out. It had 2 machines elliptical and bike, a rack of weights and the bench for the weights. The elevator was working but not to open on the lobby. It was fixed on the last day that I was there.

The suite rooms and location. Chilijs was a plus.

The other rooms dont have AC units so if i didnt book the room i picked i would have been upset. As other couples we met had to leave because their room doesnt have AC units. Its 2022 and for a hotel not to have AC in every room is crazy. Most customers will miss that amenties description because it will be assumed with the price to stay there, how new the location area is and almost all hotels or resorts have AC units to keep there customers happy and comfortable in hot weather days.

Quiet location

Having the hold amount of money included in the total hotel charge has caused the full amount to still be pending even though the Hotel charges have been processed by the bank. The hold amount should be a separate transaction to the hotel charge, which has happened at other hotels I have stayed at. $2000+ still pending due to Fox Hotel & Suites process is a large amount unavailable to me during my vacation.
