Banff is a gorgeous place and attracts lots of tourism all year around. With a busy downtown 24/7 where parking is impossible, we chose the hotel because it is well located but also a prudent distance from the noise and chaos of downtown. We were glad we did as the hotel was super comfortable and quiet. The rooms are big and airy and if you are in the ground floor as we were, you can basically park your car in front of your door. The decor is surprisingly pleasant,combining antique-style furniture with modern day comfort. Excellent beds and a wonderful selection of pillows in each bed, so that anyone can find the right one for their rest. Big bathroom with both shower and bathtub. Abundant power outlets for charging all your electronics and even work if you need to. The staff was super friendly and very helpful, We were allowed to leave the car for an extra hour after check-out as they were very understanding regarding the nowhere to park downtown situation. Thank you, guys!

I liked the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The room was quaint.

I found the room needed a deeper clean to carpets, baseboards, railings etc. as it was quite dusty. I found the mattress uncomfortable, but the pillows were comfortable. We had a loft and the the upper area where our bed was got incredibly hot. We kept the windows open and the air conditioner on all night to combat this,however, it was still somewhat uncomfortable.

We stayed the first night at a 5 star hotel and then the rest of the week here. For the price it's exactly what we were looking for! Good location within walking distance of downtown. The king loft room was special enough to make our stay enjoyable when we weren't out exploring, and the pool and the hot tub were nice when we needed a bit extra. We made good use of the in room fridge and didn't mind that breakfast wasn't included.

A Continental breakfast would have been nice and no staff was available when we tried to check out at 7:25am.

The staff was kind and polite. Amenities were organic. I was very happy. Shortly after checking in, Charltons Banff gave me an i-message. “How is your stay so far.Please rate a 1-10” I was unable send my message. And Charltons Banff gave message again. “Hi there! We noticed you have not provided us a rating, no problem. You can message this number anytime if you need anything. Have a great stay!” They are very kind.

I wanted another spare toilet paper.

Location was great, overall stay was great!

The bed was older and worn in, we got a king size bed and there was no way we could utilize the middle of the bed due to it being worn significantly on either side, the middle felt like there was a separation bar there, could feel the springs as well. There is a unit on the roof of the loft which you cannot access the thermostat without asking the staff that leave at 11 pm. It continues to blow on you all night either hot or cool air and dries you out. No access at all to turn off or change temperature. No microwave, vending machines did not work.

Good location (around 15 mins to the main downtown area), very friendly staff, rooms are spacious and well equipped, beds are comfy and the whole thing was very clean. Also, the pool and spa area is great!

I think they should add some basic self catering facilities (plates, bowls, knives and forks). They have a decent sized fridge in the rooms and it’d be handy if guests had the option to be able to make their own cereal for breakfast, especially as there is no restaurant onsite - but no bowls.

This property is well located in the heart of Banff. It is about a 10 minute walk to the very centre of things. There is plenty of parking which is a bonus in Banff. We had a kitchen room which had 2 sleeping areas on either side of the kitchen. The room was clean and relatively quiet.

Front desk staff were seemingly new at their jobs so some simple things like splitting the bill into two were not possible. This is likely a sign of the times with staffing being very tight. Other requests were handled pleasantly.

The staff were incredibly friendly. The location is nice, towards the beginning of town, but completely walkable distance to downtown Banff. The King Loft suite met our expectations. It's rustic, while still being cute and comfortable.

Wish that there was dining available on site. While the sister property is very close, they kept advertising buffet breakfast, but unfortunately they were not offering this option.

The staff were really good, it was possible to rent bikes during our stay free of charge which made for a really fun trip as we could explore further.

The location is slightly outside Banff so just over a 15 minute walk to the centre of town which is fine for Summer months but can imagine in Winter is quite uncomfortable.

Location was great! Short walk to the downtown area. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Free bike rentals through the sister hotel which was really nice. Loved that there was a fireplace in the room. Definitely recommend!

The key card scanner on our door stopped working mid stay but it was quickly resolved!
