Brandon the chef in charge of the Eden restaurant is very talented and the staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Very poor value for money. It has a 5* view but otherwise just not worth the money. A $400 per night charge and breakfast ($$$) is extra!!! A $400 per night charge and bottled water is not complementary!! A $400 per night charge and parking 150 yards away is $22 per day with no where else to park as the location is remote! Check out past 12 noon say 1pm $50 extra charge. Very petty and shortsighted. No hair dryer in the bedroom and the TV is very small. The culture of the hotel is +++ at every opportunity. Expect to be cleaned out. The Eden restaurant is incredibly expensive but also has fabulous food but stay somewhere else if dining there. Forget the Hot Springs nearby it’s tiny and zero social distancing.

The hotel is short a 5 min drive from the town center, away from the crowds. Yet you can easily park if you have a car or catch the city bus to the town right in front of the hotel. The lobby level has a mountain cabin feel to it. The rooms are more conventional, yet very comfortable with several windows overlooking the pine tree forest. The food at the restaurant was very good but service was slow (seemingly a staffing issue). The hotel customer service is top notch. We had a small incident during our stay and management handled it promptly and very well.

We came on a trip to Banff to celebrate our third anniversary, we informed the resort and upon check in they gave us a lovely card with complimentary dessert coupons. We loved that there was a car service to take us to the main strip of Banff. The property was clean, staff was polite and went out of their way to wish us a happy anniversary whenever they could. They went above and beyond to provide us with a lovely stay.

Our stay was during peak season for Banff, therefore it was on the pricier side, but we did see why with the amenities and services available to us.

They have a variety of restaurants. We visited most of them and they are all excellent:) Especially, Eden was marvellous. It was easy for us to do many activities in the hotel such as swimming, skating, bathing, and more. Having a child and taking him to outdoor activities with -22 degrees is not relaxing but since the hotel has own ice rink, we were able to enjoy our stay and relaxed. The room service was quick within 20 minutes. The late check allowed us to enjoy skating before we left. The spa has many options and the aroma full body massage was excellent!Thank you Rimrock hotel, we will be back again!!

The Eden restaurant. It is one of the main reasons we return to this amazing hotel.

Booking.com show the wrong pictures of certain rooms so the room we got was not one I would have chosen - I would have specifically avoided it as we chose the rooms with mountain views. I felt mislead. I'll know for our next visit. Our vehicle sustained some relatively minor damage in valet parking. This caused some unwanted stress but the staff did do a very good job of dealing with the situation which was appreciated. Hopefully when we return we can fall in love with the place again.

We love the Rimrock but it’s a bit tired looking. Accor and partners acquired while we were there and my understanding is that they will be starting an update and renovation on 2024. Love the Larkspur lounge and the ease in getting everywhere!

A misunderstanding with our reservation upon checkin had a charge that was double the Booking.com reservation rate. Front desk didn’t catch it, I did after the charge had been placed. It all worked out in the end, but just more attentiveness to detail would be expected.

The property is absolutely stunning. We stayed in a grand view suite and the view from the deck took our breath away. The room was spacious and well appointed and we appreciated having parking included. The staff was extremely helpful with a few things that came up and we appreciated the speediness of room service especially on the first night after a very long day of traveling. We would certainly return on another trip to Banff.

I would advise choosing valet parking if you’re there in a busy season. We only had to circle around the lot searching once, but as we were leaving I noticed how quickly the underground parking was filling up.

We had a room at the back, surrounded by trees and with an amazing view of the mountains, peaceful and beautiful. The back patio had little tables and private fire pits and that looked extremely inviting but we ran out of time. The scenery will take your breath away.

We were a long way from town and the Roam bus wouldn't stop to pick us up as they were full from the Gondola up the road. That happened twice and the second time the Rimrock did arrange for cars to take us to town but it was not convenient.

It would appear that the construction of the hotel has made all the rooms with a view. This facility was very clean and comfortable.

The front door staff made their job easier by leaving the inside doors open causing a -30 wind to blow through the lounge.
