Staff was extremely responsive when there was an issue with the jacuzzi tub. It was taken care of quite promptly. Our room seemed fairly quiet, even though we were right next to the elevator. We only heard occasional conversations of those who were waiting. We appreciated the spaciousness of the room and the table and chairs right by the window. The view, while interior, was obstructed by a lovely tree growing in the courtyard. I would not want the tree removed, but perhaps careful pruning would open just a bit more view of the stunning mountains we came to enjoy. The character and furnishings were all great! The bed was perfect: not too hard, not too soft, Goldilocks. The location was excellent, close to the river trails and park, as well as all the fine restaurants and shops. We were glad to use the underground parking as we were there in prime summer with crazy traffic. It was very nice to park it and walk everywhere in town.

The light switch for the two areas of the bathroom should be separated into two switches. The outer area (sink and jetted tub) have only glass doors separating them from the main bedroom. While the glass is very pretty, it is not very practical. When one person has to use the toilet (inner area, with a solid door!) in the middle of the night, the only light switch turns on BOTH areas. The bright light floods the bedroom as well, an unpleasant and unnecessary jolt for the other person trying to sleep. This could be fairly easily corrected by adding an inner, separate, light switch. ;) Also it would be nice if the breakfast could open earlier for those who are early hikers; or if even coffee and a bagel or such were available on your way out. Thanks!

Overall the room, food and location were perfect.

The issue was the hidden charges that they added on after. They wanted you to pay 20 dollars a day for complimentary parking. They also added on the cost for the room, because we had 4 instead of the 2 the booking site labelled the room as. There’s not extra beds, food, or towels. Look out for the hidden costs. It ended up being about 300 more as a result.

All was good and expectation was met. Location to downtown was great - breakfast well done. Room, hall ways & lobby very clean. Staff was helpful. It was helpful to know the head room for the parkade, but I am glad I came with a small car and not my truck. Space to maneuver in the parkade is limited. Info for booking would be appreciated for size & not only height access.

The toilet is too low & seat could be much better. The light over the phone table was a hazard. It is too far from the wall & too low. I hit it with my head every time i went to the table or access the head of the bed.

Best location in Banff - walking distance to shops, buses, restaurants. And yet, once you're inside, it feels quiet and peaceful. Its entrance is on a street which was partially closed to vehicle traffic. Very pleasant staff. Nice rustic style decor. Clean, comfortable, rooms. Nice breakfast room downstairs. They also have underground parking (we didn't need it). We accidentally left a bag in the lobby on departure; the staff called us, and then very kindly arranged to ship it home for us (for a charge). I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was fantastic. On site parking (for a fee) was a bonus. Our room (2 queen beds) was spacious and the newly updated bathroom was quite large. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. We had exceptional advice on local restaurants and activities from friendly, helpful, professional Georgia at the front desk.

We did not read the fine print to realize that our room did not have air conditioning. The hotel provided a fan and we were comfortable during a heat wave.

The staff agreed to move us to a room overlooking the garden, they were very nice. Thanks to that, we were able to get a good night's sleep. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. Extremely central location. Parking is available for a free.

Rooms overlooking the street can be noisy (the first room assigned to us had a direct line of sight to an outdoor restaurant across the street). AC in the corridor and breakfast room was excessively cold, considering it was cool and raining outside.

Location for this property was perfect. Right in the heart of Banff town, a good bit closer than many of the other hotels. It was really nice to be able to walk out the door and be at the center of everything. The room was comfortable.

The breakfast was pretty basic. We took advantage of breakfast availability (nice that it was available early so that we could get out early to avoid crowds) one day, but picked up pastries at a shop in town for the other day we were in Banff.

Location seemed busy at first, but then we really came to enjoy it. Every style restaurant and services you could ask for.

Our room faced west and it was VERY hot ( summertime visit ) and NO air conditioner. Also a restaurant / bar across the narrow street looked right into our windows, so we had to keep our curtains pulled the entire time and we weren't able to enjoy any kind of view, or enjoy the balcony we paid extra for.

The location is perfect: right downtown, in easy walking distance of a raft of great food. Our King room was spacious and comfortable, although the shower was tiny. Cookies at the front desk were a nice touch. There's a fridge in the room., but we had to borrow a corkscrew from the front desk. Staff was very friendly. We were asked if we wanted housekeeping - we declined. There's (slightly cramped) underground parking for an additional $10 /day, which is well worth it.

The continental breakfast (cereal, toast and bagels, hard-boiled eggs, pastries, and sausage-meat patties) was OK a couple of times, but we ended up eating out starting on day 4. Friday night was super noisy from the street outside (we were on the south-eastern corner), but the rest of our stay was fine, except for occasional noise from a refrigerated truck that was sometimes parked outside.

The hotel's central location in downtown Banff was fabulous, and the underground parking was easy to use. The room's furnishings were entertainly rustic-looking, while being quite comfortable.

The windows of the room opened into a pleasant courtyard, but it had a large ventilation system at one end that continued its work during the night, interfering a bit with enjoying the mountain air. From what I could tell, only the hotel's top floor had a good view of the surrounding mountains, rather than looking into a courtyard or into the surrounding pedestrian-mall streets.
