Room was nice although very small. The location is great with just a short walk to the main street of Banff and all its shops. Staff were very helpful and friendly. After having an issue with the toilet in our room staff were very accommodating and were happy to move us to another room - which was very much appreciated. It also has a great common kitchen area with lots of fridge and freezer space for guests and also thoughtful baskets in cubbyholes where guests can keep any food or drink items they wish during their stay.

It is a little noisy with a lot of traffic -but that can't be helped. Beds were a little uncomfortable.

Room was good, the prices are really decent for the size and location of the room. The washrooms are clean, linen was fresh and room was serviced in our absence. Staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel is located right next to the Bow falls trail and opposite to the Garden of Time Cascade, and it offers very picturestque views.

This is a hospital converted hotel, so the rooms are a little weird. The main lamps of the room had switched outside the room. The rooms were too hot and the fan was not working. However, the provided a fan upon asking. The lock also had some issues in opening, specific to my room.

Great location right next to the bow river and town center and Cascade of Time Gardens. Fully stocked and clean communal kitchen and food storage options. Staff were consistently friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was very clean and housekeeping was great

Central heat couldn't be turned off and warm days took a while for the rooms to cool down. A fan would go a long way, but cool water and open windows meant I was always able to get comfortable eventually

The Banff YWCA exceeded my expectations. I stayed for 2 weeks as a solo traveller. For me, a luxury hotel is not important as I prefer to be out exploring and just needed a place to lay my head that was budget friendly. The room was very basic but clean and comfy. There’s a full size fridge and microwave for guests to use in lobby, ice machine and Coinamatic laundry facilities. The location is perfect, right beside the river and just a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to downtown. Staff was excellent as well.

I stayed at YWCA Banff hotel as a solo traveller for 4 nights, the room that I booked was double with private bathroom. The whole experience was amazing, I felt safe all the time, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is based central, very well looked after building, surrendings and bedrooms. The hotel also supports local shelter, I would like to make it clear they support the local shelter and there is no shelter at the hotel itself, so staying at YWCA Banff hotel helps the community which I find the idea lovely. For the duration of my stay it was very quiet and I had a good sleep every night, the bed was super comfy too. If I'll ever retur to Banff, for sure I'll book this hotel again.

The only downside is no fridge in the room, especially with such a hot weather. I won't take a star off just because of that.

The social enterprise aspect of this hotel is amazing. The staff were welcoming and helpful. After travelling for a while, it was great to be able to cook in the kitchen which was fully stocked with utensils and pots/ pans.

It is mentioned in many reviews, but as the heating is on all day it is very hot in the rooms. It seemed wrong for the radiators to be so hot and have the windows open whilst it snowed.

The facilities were perfect for what we needed, the communal kitchen had great cooking utensils which were clean and modern. The kitchen and communal bathrooms were also cleaned very regularly. The staff were really helpful when we needed to extend our stay and made sure we got the same room to save us moving our stuff. Really appreciated our stay here and would recommend if you want a cheaper option in Banff.

The location was perfect and the staff was so friendly. I love how they change out towels everyday. The room was tiny but still great for two travelers. We paid a little extra to have our own bathroom and it worked out great. Has such a lovely view as well. It was great that there was a communal fridge and microwave for us to use because we didn’t expect that.

Our room was by the stairs so on the weekends people were extremely loud from the hours (10pm-2am). This made it a bit hard to sleep.

Nice clean accomodation in a great location in Banff with free parking available. Good shared kitchen with plenty of plates etc and space to store food. Friendly staff. The added bonus is it is a social enterprise so staying there helps the local community.

Heating was centrally controlled so room was very too warm. We opened a window though so not a major issue and better too warm than cold!.

Nice big rooms, comfortable bed. Good location. place to do laundry.

I would have liked to have a coffee in the morning. I appreciate them not supplying free tea or coffee. A pay as you use coffee machine would have been good. The place does have a well equiped kitchen but if you aren’t travelling with a car it is too difficult to carry around supplies for coffee.
