Peace and (total) quiet Tasteful (in all senses) breakfast. Friendly and kind hosts. Invitation to use sitting area. Helpful advice on local attractions and features

Small disadvantage in having to negotiate narrow winding road at night if out for a meal. But that is the only hint of a downside, not a criticism, and of course it goes with the peaceful isolation.

We enjoyed our stay with the hosts Erroll and Cathy in a familiar atmosphere very much. The freshly prepared breakfast was outstanding! Their two cats and two dogs are lovely. The interiour and decoration of the room was very tastful and of high quality with love for the detail. It is definitely worth to drive a few extra miles to reach this property, if you search for a quiet and peaceful location to relax from an eventful day.

The location, such serene surrounded by trees. Their animals. The Paris-themed room is very well done. The bathroom is very nice, there are even bath robes. The huge balcony with plenty of seating. Home-made breakfast.

This is very personal, but would prefer no carpet in the bedroom.

Our hosts were gracious, patient, thoughtful and kind. The setting is a little remote but very peaceful and beautiful. One of my favourite memories from the end of the trip in Victoria was the delicious breakfast Cathy made for us. Our children loved the animals and were very happy they got to pet and feed them. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Misty Meadows B&B earlier this fall! Place is meticulously managed by owners. Everything is thought through for the guests, starting with delicious breakfasts (Cathy is amazing cook!), and finishing with every single detail of interior decor, which created nearly homey atmosphere. Hospitality was +++. It felt like we were visiting relatives or good friends. They were very knowledgeable about areas around, provided useful tips, given us a lift to near by car rental. They were always there when we needed them. That’s being said, this place provides enough privacy as you wish. Owners live in the same place but in separate quarters. We travelled primarily for hiking, to enjoy seaside, and to get away from the city buzz. This B&B on a farm was exactly what we were looking for! We’ll be happy to return in the future!

Cathy and Errol were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Air con was very appreciated in the very hot weather. Breakfast quality and service was superb.

Grandfather clock - they kindly switched the noise off on the second night. Unable to lock balcony door or room door when going out. Family were in all day so no outsiders got in.

Friendly welcoming hosts who opened their home to us. We loved the farm location, not far from the city of Victoria and easy to get to. It felt like having 2 holidays - one in the city and one in the countryside. The animals (cats, dogs, sheep and donkey) made this B&B extra special. And I haven't even started on the food. Cathy's breakfasts are amazing!

The only down side was that we had to leave. Why did we only book 2 nights?!

Cathy and Erroll were quite accommodating with my allergies to cat by having the cat in their room and the no cheese in my breakfast.

I wasn’t prepared for the well water as it smelled like sulfur when I used the facilities. It wasn’t a deal breaker though. I’m sure to other people it might be off putting.

Breakfast was excellent and they were able to accommodate allergies. Being able to sit on the balcony and listen to the birds was lovely.

The donkey is cute and you can pet it, but it is also loud at times.

We stayed at Misty Meadows for two nights as a family of three. We gave up our bookings in Victoria Downtown just because the location of Misty Meadows lured us into it. We did not regret our decision. The hosts Cathy and Erroll were very warm and friendly. Cathy prepared breakfast for us every morning and actually asked what time we’d like to have it without pushing us to have it at a certain time. We eat Halal meat, and she was kind enough to offer us Halal meat for breakfast. She was willing to drive to town to get Halal meat from the butcher and serve it to us but we are not big on meat in breakfast, so we were happy with whatever else she made. We were served pancakes, yogurt parfait, fresh fruits, baked french toast pudding, juices and coffee. They also have some animals on a small farm which they happily let our toddler see. Besides they have two dogs that welcome you into their B&B. This B&B is located in a remote and quiet forested area of the highlands. Although, it is about 20 minutes drive from downtown, yet we found it quite accessible and had no issues driving to the city and back. Ample parking is available for guests on the property. The rooms were super comfy, clean and well put together. It is an extremely peaceful place, and we had an amazing night’s sleep, including our toddler. Fully vaccinated travelers were allowed to access their kitchen at anytime as well. Cathy had made sure there were disinfectant sprays and cleaning supplies in the room. The bathroom was well-stocked with toilet paper as well. All in all, highly recommended if you are looking for some peace and quiet and a breakfast with a personal touch.
