Much to our surprise and based on previous stays at this hotel, breakfast is no longer included. However, staff informed us that we could purchase a breakfast package for an additional $22.50 per person plus tax. We declined this option.

This is not a new hotel and some amenities within the room need to be better maintained. For example, the drain in the shower was very slow, in fact, we were standing in water before the shower ended. Also, the floor of the shower requires a non-slip coating as it is EXTREMELY slippery when wet causing my husband to fall and bruise his leg.

We were particularly impressed and pleased with the various staff members --right from initial check in, to housekeeping, and the restaurant, all were friendly and helpful. We were thrilled to be able to have our grandchildren spend a night with us (thanks to the addition of a cot) and spend some fun time in the pool (small but fine and dandy for our purpose). The restaurant had some excellent meals -- we found the prices in line with what we would usually pay for a dinner out. Location was convenient for us; not too far from our family in Belmont Park (military housing)-- only about a 15 minute drive. Several restaurants, (Tim's, McD's /A&W--- pizza places), groceries, Costco, gas stations etc. are nearby.(less than 5 minutes drive). Not too far from Royal Roads University, and Esquimalt Lagoon. (15/20 minute drive) Quick access to the highway when it was time to head back to Victoria airport. We will stay at this property again in the future.

Hotel was very clean and welcoming. Will only note that some of the decor could use some updating. For example: some buckling of hall carpets ---- probably from excessive cleaning. In these Covid/post covid times we appreciate that some of the norms of the past could be lacking for now (ie. daily housekeeping of rooms), but we will note that when we made a request for extra room supplies (coffee, towels) we were immediately accommodated, with a smile.

Pros- Amazing location Just next to Costco Room are clean and very spacious Clean and spacious bathroom had an amazing time at gym, pool & Sauna Complimentary morning tea & coffee were available for grab and Go

Cons- Complimentary tea & coffee is not available full day. Atleast hot drinking water should be. Our Checkin time was 3PM, we reached at hotel around 2.50 pm but could not checkin until 4pm due to unavailability of room

Great location for us although not in town it was on the way out of town. The restaurant was really good and accommodated my food intolerance. The room was a really good size, they had coffee in the foyer in the mornings and also in the room

I cant think of anything negative. The restaurant was quite cool so just take another layer and you will be fine, the staff are amazing there as well. Nothing else to say it was all really nice..........

Being able to trave with my pet. Also the pool was really nice and the staff very nice. Special thanks to the ladies in the reception and to Gonzalo from the bar & grill who gave us excellent service at breakfasts. Delicious breakfast.

The room I booked said breakfast included. That was one of my main criteria for selecting the hotel and room rate. However when we got there we were told the breakfast was not included. Only after some discussion and getting frustrated was the included breakfast recognized. Clearly something that should be improved between booking.com and the hotel. that is my only reason for not giving a 10.

The staff were very welcoming and ready to help and accommodate us wherever needed. The property was well kept and clean as well with all necessary amenities like the hot tub, pool and gym as well as free parking.

No microwave in the room made heating food up a little uncomfortable as we had to go down to the lobby every time. The entry into the hotel is a bit unsafe when coming from the bottom of the hill, coordinating that with the city might be helpful.

The location was about 20 min from downtown Victoria which we didn't really mind. The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel was in great condition, seemed clean and new. The room was a bit small but very comfortable and had what we needed (fridge, microwave, and couch). The bed was comfy and we enjoyed the pool

The pool was small and too crowded at times. There were only a limited amount of available towels so that was something that was a bit troublesome. Should be a no diving rule in the pool because the kids kept getting splashed on which was not fun for them

We liked, the room size, the kitchenette and associated amenities, the closet and other storage spaces, and the location.

Our bathroom was a good size, but the shower installed there was rather small. Also, the air conditioning unit, which worked very well, was somewhat loud.

Wifi was great. Free internet access via guest laptops. Lounges, Sauna, Pool, Pantry. Selection for bath was aromatic.

Breakfast inclusive deals could be better. Perks drinks should consider the guest head count. Daily House keeping would help. Had only once after check-in. In room Beverage options could be better.

The walk in shower was weird. The taps are on the wrong side as you have to get in the shower to turn them on so get hit with freezing cold water until you get it to the right temperature and the soaps are too high. I am short and have a back injury as well and cannot tiptoe so I could not reach the shampoos, etc.
