I booked a hotel for my friend's family vacation in Vancouver, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The hotel not only met but surpassed their every needs, making this trip an unforgettable experience for them. Upon arrival, my friend's family was assigned one of the hotel's finest suites, boasting a stunning water view. The sight from their room was breathtaking, and it set the tone for their entire stay. Over the course of six days, they were treated to a level of comfort that left them thoroughly impressed. The real gem, however, was the hotel's prime location. Situated perfectly to capture the essence of Vancouver, it allowed easy access to the city's vibrant attractions, ensuring that my friend's family had the opportunity to explore and enjoy to the fullest.

Although the building itself showed its age in some areas, the charm and character it exuded more than made up for it

The location is amazing, plenty of markets, bars and restaurants around, parks and walks nearby, public transport going any direction to the city or mountains for day trips. Rooms have great views over the water and all the facilities you might need. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of options on offer, there's also a food hall downstairs if you fancied something different.

The decor is a little dated. There was some building work going on that wasn't mentioned when booking. Also window cleaning meant we had to keep the curtains closed, again not mentioned until the day before.

The hotel is located right above the SeaTaxi station to ferry over to downtown Vancouver. Very convenient. Rooms on the 4th floor west side of the hotel feature small patios with a table and two chairs with fantastic views of the bridge and downtown- keep in mind these rooms face west and downtown is south but if you sit right you can still take it all in. FYI the rooms on the east side of the hotel have a bigger window/sliding door, but only a non walkout juliet balcony, plus there is a lot more activity on that side so it could get noisy at night. So those rooms are brighter, but we opted for the actual balcony/patio and loved it. We also had an amazing view of the fireworks at English beach! Breakfast coupons work at the property restaurant which has the best view of the city and an outdoor terrace, perfect.

So, the rooms are a little tired (wrinkly wallpaper etc) but well appointed, the coffee maker is situated oddly on a lower shelf- we had to pull it out and up while it was still plugged in behind a permanent console, shower/tub very basic, low toilet! (a pet peeve but frankly almost every hotel we booked had low toilet- not 'comfort height) but frankly we really enjoyed our stay here!

The Lonsdale Quay Hotel is a true landmark in North Vancouver, BC. It has been there for many years. Located inside the Lonsdale Quay market, a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The market has numerous eateries and shopping opportunities. If you want a quick exit to downtown Vancouver, the Seabus terminal is right there for a 20-minute ride. It also makes a great sightseeing tour. The hotel has undergone renovations since I stayed here last. The rooms are nice and spacious and have hardwood floors. The bed was very comfortable. Nice and clean towels and bathrobes are also great. I am giving it four stars because of the rickety mini-fridge with an ancient microwave on top of it, a real fire hazard. Come on; you can afford to replace those items.

Location, cleanliness, security, parking bar on site.

Sitting on top of what was once the the charm of Lonsdale. Sadly the Quay has succumbed to the idea of wokeness and in your face over the top of heathy eating. Quay used to be fun and a place for a mix of semi healthy and overindulgence with an emphasis on fun & food enjoyment. No more bakeries with sweet temptations or fresh seafood markets to pick up a spur of the moment evening meal. Even the food market upstairs is gone.

We arrived at the hotel early in the afternoon, hours before regular check-in. At first, the trainee front desk lady told us to come back at 3 PM. However, when Dipti, the main front desk manager checked the system, she said the room was ready. It was so nice of her to release the room earlier than 3 PM because we had little sleep due to an early morning flight. Small things like that make guest remember the hotel and look forward to stating again. The staff, in general, were nice.

Nothing in particular.

Very very close to many good eating places and shops. All staff, from the front desk clerks to housekeeping, were extremely polite and accommodating. In room wifi worked great. Discounts on parking for the underground garage. Located in a great area that felt safer than downtown Vancouver and even with traffic was only a short drive into the city.

Only one thing: the bathrooms are a little outdated and need refurbishing.

Visiting relatives in North Vancouver for a wedding and sightseeing too. This hotel is in an ideal location. Great views of the bay looking across to Downtown Vancouver. Easy access across the bay using the regular sea bus. Hotel kindly stored our luggage while we left for 2 nights to go to the wedding venue. The Lonsdale Quay market is directly underneath the hotel with a number of cafes, and shops. Very close to the Shipyard district with bars and restaurants. Rooms had dated decor, but were clean and comfy.

One of the two lifts repeatedly broke down, a little concerning. The breakfast was a poor quality, and we only used it once.

We really enjoyed the environment, altho under construction. The balcony sure was nice, with great views - we watched a spring storm roll in, living in Kamloops, hadnt seen that for a while. :) Really appreciated the hop on hop off abilities for tootling about in the Vancouver downtown area, after dark. Sea bus, Skytrain, ect.

No on site parking!? Having to pay $30 for 1 night, IF you can find a spot directly below the building. Yikes! The bathroom - didnt enjoy the door slamming in to my legs while sitting on the toilet/close the door first, then sit down. Needs better space layout. *Have to go for a bloody hike just to have a smoke. Not fun at night.

We appreciated the water and city view. Access to the shops and restaurants in Lonsdale Quay was convenient. The bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water.

Finding the underground parking garage was difficult at first. However, a couple U-turns got us to the right spot. A ventilation fan in the bathroom would be appreciated. The walls seemed a little thin since we heard other guests arguing before sunrise.
