Everything went well. We loved to just hang out on the property and enjoyed the feeling of being in the woods while right down town. The food was terrific : Keep your pastry chef. It is a beautiful building, both inside and out. The interior decor was appropriate for the architecture, and lovely as well. It was so quiet and comfortable. The staff was great and so kind to us. we realize that maintaining the house is a real challenge. Keep up the good work. You are doing so well.
Nothing! A word to the wise; This property is not suitable for small children. I was so glad there were no toddlers there when we were there.

Very convenient location which included parking - a huge plus in a big city. Well trained staff: efficient yet unobtrusive. Breakfast was a bit odd: a so so omelette served with a salad with a dressing a bit heavy on the vinegar. It was a mix of breakfast and dinner that I was not used to. We really liked the complementary sherry, coffee and snacks available at all hours. We liked that we were offered breakfast options. The establishment seems secure and safe. Though in the middle of town our penthouse suite was very quiet and very nicely furnished.
There wasn't much to dislike. We think that people who stay at O Canada House must do so with an understanding that they are not going to a run of the mill hotel. The Bread and Breakfast experience is entirely different.

This B&B is lovely. It is centrally located to downtown, and it is in a very safe and walkable neighborhood. Wonderful restaurants are nearby and within walking distance. Our accommodation was just beautiful, tastefully decorated and appointed with antiques and everything we could need. Loved the bathroom and claw-footed tub; we could take a shower or a bath. The breakfasts and home-baked goodies were always at our disposal, as was a nice glass of sherry to end the day.
For seniors, climbing the concrete steps to the gate, and going up the stairs to the front door may be a little much with luggage. Also, there is no elevator, and no bellman to carry luggage up the staircase to the second floor where the rooms are. So, pack light.

Charming, cozy, welcoming. Loved the breakfast, 24 hour pantry access, and the complimentary sherry was absolutely delicious. Every little detail has been thought out, including umbrellas for rainy days. Loved having free parking for our car. Location was great, we were able to walk everywhere in downtown Vancouver.
The carpet in the house was so worn and stained that I thought they were the original carpet from 100 years ago haha. Hopefully they can replace it eventually. A Persian style rug in the living room would be nice as well, to keep with the theme.

Beautiful historic house and can't beat the location. The hosts were extremely accommodating and kind, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. Lots of little added details like a fresh bottle of water in our room, a 24/7 pantry, good breakfast options and quality linens. We loved our stay and would absolutely return if in Vancouver again.
The bed was fine but not fantastic - could just use a simple mattress upgrade (there are fairly noticeable depressions on both sides).

We loved the quaint building and comfortable furnishings of this beautiful place to stay in the heart of Vancouver.
It didn’t affect us during our stay as temperatures were comfortable but I could imagine without air conditioning in high season it could be very uncomfortable. Carpets are looking tired but I understand from chatting to one of the staff that both these things are looking to be addressed next year.

Liked our room but when I saw north room, it was gorgeous with the tub. Next time I would reserve the north room! Breakfast and having access to the mini fridge and a piece of loaf was very welcoming. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Easy check in and check out.
Would have loved a tub as we were on a long road and train ride that offered showers only. Sometimes it is nice to relax in a bath tub! That’s my personal preference. Nothing else to change or make better.

I booked the place over other 5 star hotels of comparable prices in the area due to the appeal of wonderful breakfast. The breakfast is prepared by the staff in the small kitchen from a menu of 2 choices every day. It is prepared with care and attention. Unless one can take advantage of buffet style breakfast offered by the hotel, this breakfast is surely miles better. Note that each breakfast is prepared once seated so it takes time instead of instantly available from fridge or oven. Also note that sound proof isn't its strength if that's a priority for you. Once entering the place, you are greeted with the scent of an old house. The place is maintained by a small group of staff who are very friendly and clearly cared about the brand. During my stay, there isn't a hasty business traveller (albeit I am one) or large family with kids, which are usually the case elsewhere. It was quite and respectable even between travellers.
I didn't sleep all that well so subjectively I'll rate it a 9. Objectively it's well a 10.

Friendly, comfortable, clean and well equipped as well as being in a great location
We had the south room - the smallest - and it was small. We were on a three week vacation with lots luggage and there was nowhere to unpack, small walk in wardrobe with no light, only on bedside table. We made the most of it and for one person or a short vacation it would have worked better

Everything- the homeliness and quirkiness of the property in amongst modern Vancouver. The location. The breakfasts were excellent and the welcome too . The rooms were beautifully set up and range and the provisions of complimentary foods and drinks were an absolute treat - along with homemade treats too.
