A cafe right inside the hotel . The view of my room is so nice that it face the main road but the trees around , that’s so relaxing . Check in is 4:00 pm and they allow early check in at 2 pm . Arrived hotel at 10 am , left the luggage and walked to Stanley park and walk to CF mall food court grabbed something to eat . Very central location. Equipped with a kettle to make tea and most importantly has the nespresso machine for excellent coffee .

Seems everything meets my expectations and nothing I don’t like

An older (classic?) four-storey motel with modern updates. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch for my morning coffee. (I’d like to think the pods get recycled.) Wifi signal was good, lots of hot water for the shower. Small fridge in each room. Outdoor hallways overlook a lovely courtyard. Quite quiet for downtown Vancouver. (We had a room at the back) Great location right across the street from St Paul’s Hospital, and near restaurants and shops on Davie. Friendly staff, still smiling after over a year of COVID restrictions. There is a coffee shop off the lobby, and a Burgoo restaurant in the same building, that offers a 10% discount for hotel guests. Take-out was delicious. The Burrard offers great value for a downtown location, not posh but everything you need.

Parking garage is a little tight and if you do use the garage you enter the hotel through the service entry. (Not a problem). Bathroom a little small, ie small pedestal sink and tight spot for toilet.

I enjoyed the Miami vibes of the Burrard, as well as the decor overall and in the rooms. The bouclé tweed headboard and bed were very stylish, and the upscale linoleum tiled floor a nice change from hotel carpet (yuck). The bathrooms were efficient and modern, and I loved the built-in dispensers of organic soaps, lotion and conditioner rather than wasteful individual bottles. I liked that the windows open to get air in.

The area around the door in my room could use a small lick of paint - not sure why it got so yucky - maybe because the doors open to the outside. The bathroom could use an exhaust fan, although the window helps.

Bed was very comfortable, loved the Nespresso coffee pod machine in our room. The staff were helpful and friendly. Prior to us arriving provided lots of useful information of what to do in Vancouver. The location is convenient to downtown Vancouver and walkable to major attractions, Stanley Park , Granville Island, Canada place waterfront where tours can be arranged . Cafe Elysian next door and also the Burgoo Bistro. The meals there were delicious, reasonably priced and friendly staff.

Was a bit of siren noise due to the hospital across the road and the air conditioner was noisy but neither was bad enough not to spoil our stay.

Lovely hotel, kettle and coffee maker in the room plus a microwave down in the basement. They also had guest laundry and dryer machines (CAN$ 5 each) and free bikes (with locks and helmets). Plenty of places to walk to - Davie street had plenty of restaurants and bars. Close to Burrard Bridge. Good supermarket (IGA) about a 5min walk towards the port area.

It is on a main road and opposite a hospital, and we had a room on the side. I wore ear plugs but my husband was fine without, so more to be aware than it's a problem.

The location of this hotel is great, and you'll probably find nothing better in that area for the money. Everything is clean. The parking is easy to find and enter and safe. Suggestion for breakfast (not available at the hotel): The Basic in Davie Street, a 5 min walk. The free bikes provided by the hotel are really OK and well-maintained, but not as comfortable as others from actual rental companies. So if you wanna bike a lot, consider renting.

The Burrard is an older motel that's renovated. Therefore the rooms are a bit noisy, the bathroom is very small and the A/C is loud. But please read the first sentence in the other half of the review again :)

The cost was 4X what I normally pay for a room. BUT I knew what I was to pay. I thought parking would be included.

-I liked the quirky setting. Well designed. Massive TV in the room, fridge, coffee machine (very loud). Room was good enough. Coffee shop downstairs is very night and so is the restaurant (Burgoo). Would highly recommend both. For a good diner breakfast at a good price go to 'The Basic' which is a 5 minute walk away. You will not regret it!

-Like other people had commented on. The rooms are very thin so bare that in mind. You can hea the room next door quite well. -There is a piano in the parking area downstairs which somone decided to play at 23:30 one night which was VERY annoying. This should not be available to play at night.

Very happy with our stay at The Burrard. The room was a decent size, clean and warm upon our arrival. While the building is clearly a bit older, they have done well with painting and updates to make it feel fresh. The shared lounge area with outdoor fireplace was nice. Staff was lovely and very helpful during our stay.

There was an added air pump in the room for cooling purposes. While both the heating and air units worked well, the air pump was quite loud so we had to turn it off at night. It would have been nice to have a quieter unit to keep air flowing overnight, but this wasn't a major issue.

The location was pretty good for getting around by public transportation or walking, which was ideal for me. There was a cafe on property to grab a quick breakfast and the staff were helpful and courteous. They provided daily cleaning, an iron and bottled water.

I guess in the Vancouver context, the hotel was good value for money, however, I've stayed in 5 different hotels on this PNW trip and this was the most expensive one yet not the best of the 5. It had a bit of a motel vibe, and due to the layout of the property, you were partially exposed to the elements between the elevator and your room.
