We were close to downtown. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The room was well stocked. The tv was kind of small but it was ok. I liked having fridge and microwave. We didn't know there was breakfast if there was - not sure. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay but certainly less expensive that other places. Parking was a bonus. Free Wifi was good. Water and snacks in the lobby - nice touch. Lots of information on what to see and do in Kingston and surrounding areas.

Different heating source. It was warm enough though.

They have a machine that makes either coffee or hot water for tea at any time of day. It's great to get something after being out all day when it's cool. Also provided an extra blanket when I asked. They do provide a basic breakfast so you have good start before you go out. Mini fridge and microwave in the room as well.if you want to bring some supplies.

Walls are a bit thin so can hear people next to you.

The room was very modern and had a very homey feel to it! I loved the lights and especially the sink! The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean, would definitely stay here again

Room was quite clean and I liked the open style outdoor hallways (building entry is the individual room entry). Every staff member was very kind and the free food in the lobby was an appreciated touch.

Bedding was minimal but the beds were still comfortable and nice. Free wifi was not the most reliable but did its job fairly well. No major drawbacks or deal breakers.

We enjoyed staying at Howard Johnson, the location is great, a short walk takes you to many places to eat, there are breakfast bars and bottles of water complementary in reception and a super coffee machine with all varieties of coffee all free.. The Beds are very comfortable and spacious,and for once plenty of coat hangers and space for clothes,in all we had a very pleasant stay.

I haven't any negative remarks.

Customer service is excellent, they should be giving sessions on excellent service. We had all we needed for our 3 day stay.

We were not aware that the room was a self cleaning room. Though we managed for our 3 days stay, we reused our towels and took our trash out.

Really comfy bed and room was spacious. Large bathroom with additional sink outside. The staff were superb - looked after my bags and made me feel very welcome. Were on hand to give advice and suggestions.

Location is 30 minute walk from downtown, which isn't fun in pouring rain. Apart from that, nothing.

The hotel is clearly relatively recently been renovated and actually looks quite nice. The interior design is an interesting mix of modern and 60s (by which I mean it's more "funky" than dated). The staff were nice too and helpful with any questions. Overall a good experience.

I wasn't sure how much we could control the heating there - there was a knob to control but it didn't seem to make a big difference no matter what i did with that. Something to inquire about if you're travelling in winter.

Room clean and good towel supply. Bed had sheet but no comforter. Had blanket in closet. Lots of pillows! Front desk staff were very personable. Good location and value for price

No ice bucket. Front desk said they had some stolen the previous week….get bowls or something! Ice in a baggie melted in about half as hour :) Would have appreciated a little more selection at morning coffee table
