The breakfast was good, and the people were accommodating: they let us keep our bags on site to accommodate our use of the shuttle bus. Niagara-on-the-Lake is is lovely town. The house was a short, pleasant walk to the Peller Estates Winery where we had a fabulous lunch.
The keypunch lock system was fine — if you knew how to use it and re-lock it once you had used it. The bathroom was a little worn down and the placement of the bath towels near the front door of our suite seemed odd.

The house and our room were very clean and neat. Spacious King Room on the 2nd floor was comfortable as was the bed and shower. Location to center of town was great…just 3 or so blocks. Ease of entry to house and room were with Schlage codes which made it secure.
Disappointed to hear (as was another reviewer listed here) a couple of days before arrival that due to unforeseen events, there would be no breakfast provided at the inn - several good breakfast spots nearby. Hopefully they will be able to restart that as it would raise the rating I would give. A head’s up, no pun intended, the shower head in our bathroom is very low and someone over 6 feet may find it uncomfortable to use. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor. The buffering was constant making it difficult to watch a show.

Julie, the host was very welcoming and friendly. It was particularly nice that she took time to socialise with guests if they chose to sit out on the porch late afternoon. She also made dinner reservations as required for us. We had the smallest room in the property but it was cosy and had everything that we needed. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the bedding was of a high quality. It was nice that guests of all three rooms ate breakfast at the same time, so could chat and share information. Julie prepares a different breakfast each day, but cooked the French toast for us again on our last day as I'd like it so much. It is only a 5 minute walk to the quirky main street of Niagara on the Lake so perfect location and still peaceful. Sitting on the porch relaxing in a rocking chair was so good.
We coped well with the bathroom to our room not being en-suite. It was still exclusively for us and lovely fluffy bathrobes were provided for us to wear when we walked down the corridor. The only person we ever saw was the host. You have to walk past the serving end of the dining room, but the only table with a view of this corridor was the one allocated to our room, so not really a problem. The blinds attempting to separate this area are hideous and ineffective. Forming a proper partition would be a great investment. There is some noise from the room above and the beds creak.

The first breakfast was okay, but nothing special, like being home. But the 2nd one had ripe fruits, egg and sausage ' muffins', hot croissants, juice, coffee, granola... We had stayed here before, the present owner we never saw...we missed her conversations and presence.
No guide/instructions for the TV in our room.

We thought a Bread and Breakfast would have included Breakfast. We only learned about this not being available a day or two before the visit. It was a bit disappointing.
Arriving to a completely dark entrance late at night. For safety sake, outside lights on timer or motion sensor would be a great improvement.

The breakfast were very filling and tasty.Just the right amount and good variety. Finlay house was close to down town Niagara on the lake. Julie gave great recommendation to places to have dinner.
I know thats it's really, in the sprig season. The parking lot grounds needed to be cleared to winter brush, the stairs to guests door needed painting. Signage to the guest door. No common room outside your bedroom to sit and decompress.

Breakfast was not available, but that wasn't a concern as I'm doing a 17-hour fast (Doctor's recommendation). Room was big, bright, comfortable, quiet. Location was excellent. Secure bicycle storage on-site is the only extra I would have liked. I wonder if other multi-day bike renters have ever asked about this?
Bike lock-up at the premises as mentioned above.

Great location, an easy walk to downtown. House is on a corner with a very inviting front porch. Julie, our host, was there to welcome us and show us our room and the facilities. We had the smallest of the 3 rooms, with bathroom down the hall. But it was like having our own little wing of the house, and the morning coffee was practically right outside our door. Julie prepared a wonderful breakfast for us each morning, very kindly helped us with a tv issue, and also gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and wineries in the area. Fun chatting with her and the other guests.
We liked pretty much everything- larger room would have been nice, but they were already taken. Maybe next time!

We loved the room - the bed was very comfortable. Room had a handy fridge and lots of storage. We had a private bathroom with all you needed - lovely and clean and good shower pressure. The location was brilliant to the main street. The house was lovely, felt welcoming and traditional to the area. So handy for exploring the local wineries.

Location, ambiance, cleanliness, breakfasts, bed & pillows very comfortable,
Just wish we had a king size bed & would have like muffins included in the breakfast, especially when French toast was served as there were no other options.
