The location couldn't be beat, with beautiful views of the lake. The breakfast was very good and the bed comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. The common areas were attractive and inviting, with various games on-hand. We enjoyed the upstairs terrace our room opened up to.

The property needs some updating. The wallpaper in our room was beginning to peal, the dresser was basically falling apart and totally unusable, and the cushions on the outdoor seating were in sad shape. There were various places outside where the paint was pealing and there was an outside railing that was completely falling apart.

The location is excellent, close to the bay and main street (shops, restaurants etc.). Liked having access to shared balcony with comfortable seats. Good to be able to help ourselves to water/coffee in public areas as none in room.

Our room was small and dark. Whilst we appreciated that the furniture (old fashioned) adds to the character of the accommodation, it would benefit from maintenance (wardrobe door was sticking and awkward to open/close). Privacy was compromised as no blinds on windows, so had to close all curtains when changing, showering etc. Shared balcony needed to be swept.

Location is great for getting away from the city. You can walk into town for dinner, walk to some local vineyards, and not far by car to Niagara Falls. Great for a 1 or 2 night stay, in a cute building on the water front.

The accommodation is exactly what we were after, however there are a few minor things to note: Parking is available, however parking is tight and may be full. Street parking is an option and reimburse. Owner seemed rushed, less interested in making you feel welcomed (perhaps it had been a long summer by the time we visited) Breakfast was limited to 3 options, and felt as if we were only allowed one glass of juice.

Breakfast was fantastic. My wife was extremely impressed by her french toast breakfast; I really enjoyed my eggs, bacon (nice and crispy), fruit, toast, juice and coffee. The hotel location was walking distance to everything of interest to us. Hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. Even helped guide me to back my car out of my tight parking spot.

The outdoor patio chairs on our balcony were supposed to be for our us but another couple claimed them preventing us from using them at one time. Suggest that the hotel put some sort of barrier on the balcony between the two rooms that share the 2nd floor balcony, to make it clearer to the guests.

The location was excellent! Busy area by the river but surprisingly quiet at night, very nice to walk around and so close to the beach, lovely area to be in and people watch and/or have a picnic by the gazebo. Breakfast was very good and I liked having separate tables with the option to eat outdoors too. Lovely patio area We had balcony space from our room and the view was very nice of the river (it was shared but still very nice)

I would have preferred an ice machine but not a deal breaker - they did have ice available in trays and a shared refrigerator in the common space

This place is so charming and has a wonderful view of lake Ontario and the mouth of the Niagara River. We were greeted when we arrived by a very nice woman who also served us breakfast in the morning. Each room has its own unique style and configuration. We had the gallery room, which I think was one of the best in this bed and breakfast. We loved it. The bed was comfortable, the room is spacious, and the attached patio had a beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was good, and served with a smile. We kind of want to live here, but our dogs would miss us, and maybe our kids. Highly recommend!!!

Nothing really. It's pricey but nicey!

We loved the location, so close to the lake, equally close to the main street. We parked our car, and we're able to walk everywhere, including the Shaw Festival theatre. Our room included the use of the upper balcony, so nice to enjoy morning or night.as well, our breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. We found Laurie very pleasant and helpful. We would certainly come again.

Yes, you may hear people outside your room moving along the landing or going downstairs, you are in a home after all. But everyone was respectful of taking care to move quietly around the upper floor.

The location was the best. Everything was within an easy walk and the view spectacular. The balcony outside our room was also wonderful and well used by us. The parlor held fascinating objects and furniture. It was fun to explore. I would definitely recommend a stay.

Breakfast was tasty, but a bit of a disappointment when compared with other inns at a similar price we have experienced. The room was clean and comfortable, but the towels tired and there were no special amenities to try such as shampoo (there was a small combo wash and conditioner) and skin cream.

Our room, the Gallery room, was perfect. It was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated. Great view. Peaceful location. Laurie, the manager, was cheery, helpful, and always professional. The chef cooked truly delicious breakfasts every morning. The French toast was just gorgeous and the eggs benedict were perfect. The lounge area is beautiful, and all over is hung with the owner's stunning photography.

Sharing the balcony with people who smoked/were vaping.

Great location, you can see lake Ontario from the front porch – it’s maybe a 2min walk to the water, and that’s if you’re dragging your feet!! Location is super close to QUEEN Street – where all of the shops and eateries are. Very close and very walkable. Beautiful park is also across the street for great photos. Residence: it’s old, quaint, but very inviting. A lot of historical perspective inside the house. Room was well-appointed with ensuite bathroom/shower/tub. Had a walkout to balcony shared with 2 other rooms. Breakfast was decent, freshly made – you order the night before. There’s always coffee/tea/water available. There are 4 options to choose from for breakfast, and they put out breads for toasting, and put out homemade muffins which were super yum. Our host, LACE, would be the reason we remember this trip. She was outstanding!! Super helpful and just super friendly. Anything we needed; she was right there. Gave options, suggestions on things to do, places to see, eat, etc. Such a great personality.

Any drawbacks would be the tight parking in the back of the house. You can opt to park on the street or parking lot across the street, and you’ll get reimbursed by the property. Remember this is a house, so you’ll hear feet on the wooden floors, staircase, etc. All wooden floors throughout. Some of these floors are slightly slanted – so watch for those. Also, there’s no individual climate control in room. You’re kinda stuck with what the general house temp is. Power outlets are not available right next to bed on both sides – just on one side.
