We had a lovely stay at this gorgeous bed and breakfast. The parking spots are large and the building itself is beautiful as is the surrounding garden and decor. Our room was large and spacious and exceptionally clean as was the bathroom. The bathroom had extra toiletries and towels as well as fantastic water pressure. The television had streaming services which is hard to come by. It’s also located in a fantastic area. We were 4 minute drive from a winery where we were attending a wedding. There is a fridge with an assortment of cold drinks and there was also tea and coffee available. The breakfast was beyond any continental breakfast I have seen. Ellie had a shelf in the fridge dedicated to each suite with a variety of breakfast foods. She also had pastries fresh out of the oven waiting for us and an assortment of berries and fresh fruit. We were in a hurry to get back to the city so she prepared all of our food in containers so we could take it with us. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool or games room but we most definitely intend to on our next visit. I cannot say enough good things about our stay, the service, cleanliness and attention to detail went well above and beyond our expectations. I look forward to coming back!

The highlights from our experience staying here were the food, comfort of the room, and how organized everything was. For food, despite asking late in the day the previous night, Ellie whipped up a tasty, no-frills breakfast for us in the morning, which included American breakfast and British pastries, as well as local jams. For the room, we stayed in a suite that had a massive and comfortable bed with a great view of the sunset, as well as a clean bathroom with good water pressure. We were particularly impressed with how organized, well-maintained, and well-labeled everything was, from a comprehensive guest handbook, to marked guest parking spots, to small things like per-room shelves in the fridge. One other thing we also appreciated was the copious amounts of included consumables like fruits, teas, energy drinks, etc. Overall, we would definitely stay here again the next time we visit the Niagara region!

We only stayed one night so we didn't have a chance to experience everything like the pool or game room. Otherwise, there wasn't anything we did not like.

Everything was fantastic! The BnB is charming, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The host Ellie is very kind, welcoming and thoughtful. She has considered all the needs of guests. There are abundant snacks, (including gluten free) and fruits available 24/7, as well as teas, coffee, juices and sparking water. You can help yourself anytime which was really convenient and showed the care and attention to guest's needs. Each room had a dedicated shelf in the fridge where you are provided with cheese, fruit, yogurt and drinks. There are also bread, pastries and cereals available 24/7. For breakfast, because I don't eat pork, Ellie got turkey sausage for me and she showed me the ingredients and made sure it was cooked in a separate pan. She was also very considerate of other guests who had strawberry allergies and made accommodation for them. I and some other guests bought some plants at a local nursery and kept them under the crabapple tree in front of the house and Ellie was thoughtful enough to water them for us so they would not dry out on our drive home! The bed was super comfortable and special touches like robes, slippers, and extra toiletries were wonderful. All the towels were soft (not the usual scratchy starched!) and high quality. The pool was very clean and refreshing to come back to on the hot summer days! It's a 5 min drive to the centre of NOTL nestled among the vineyards. So a perfect location to enjoy the region. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of BnBs internationally, and this is one of the best I have found. It's a real gem and I will definitely be back!

No complaints at all! It was an exceptional stay and I highly recommend it!

The owner, Ellie was so sweet and she went above and beyond to assure that we were comfortable, and also made eggs for breakfast according to personal preference for each guest. The room (Harp and Crown room) was very spacious and had an extra-large bathroom. The bed was also extremely comfortable! We were a very short drive into downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Walls are quite thin between the bedrooms (keep in mind that it's a standard house), so we could hear our neighbor's TV quite loudly in our room. When it got to be after 11pm, I knocked on their door to kindly ask them to turn the volume down, and when they did we had a very nice, well-rested sleep!

It is an exceptionally attractive property. It was tastefully decorated throughout. It was clear that a great deal of thought had gone to it - the spacious bedroom with a large 4 poster bed and comfortable chairs to sit in. There was more than adequate clothes storage space. The bathroom was also beautifully laid out and a good size, with attractive decorations. The eating area had fresh fruit and snacks ready for the arrival of guests. Each shelf of the fridge had yoghurts, cut fruit, cheeses and drinks/ The coffee and ice machines were easy to use. For those who wanted, Ellie made a cooked breakfast. One goes to Niagara on the lake for the facilities of the town - so one didnt need the swimming pool or ganes room with a pool table, darts board, games and tv but they were there. Ellie, our hostess went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we wanted.

nothing - it was terrific

We liked everything, but most of all, our host Ellie, a wonderful person who cares about her guests and every possible detail of your stay. The building, the grounds and the pool are all immaculate and it is so quiet and peaceful. The many tasteful decorations in the house make it feel very homy, but also showcase Ellie's talent in leaving nothing unattended. We have very seldom felt so welcomed and cared for when staying in a B&B. And, of course, there is beautiful Nagara-on-the-lake around the corner along with the Shaw festival - all in short distance. We will definitely come back and can recommend the Old town country landing to anyone.

From the moment we arrived I was impressed. Communication beforehand was great, check in was easy. Lovely room. Lots of snacks and food available. Leisure facilities downstairs and nice pool. Ellie was a great host. Offered lots of extras, including moving us to a new room she had just had prepared as we had a child and she was worried our room was a little small (we were content). I accidentally left the key in the room and she came quickly late in the evening to open up for us. She prepared extra food for us for the kids as she knew we had a long journey when leaving. We left some books behind which she has mailed to us. All told the experience was brilliant and I can't recommend highly enough. I have stayed in other accommodation in the Niagra region and this is the best I've experienced.

The Bushmill Suite was generously sized with a very comfortable 4 poster bed reach with a step stool. The bathroom was extra large& very clean. The recreation room downstairs was well. equipped for a group to have a great time with Pool table, comfy furniture and free non-alcoholic drinks. in the fridge. In the dining room there was a fridge and each room or suite had 4 kinds of fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and drinks or water. Our Hostess was lovely and very accommodating to our breakfast request for fresh eggs and bacon. Pastries and bread were readily available at any time of the day. We didn't use the swimming pool because we were busy on a Tour of Gardens.

Nothing!

The Bushmill room is well appointed. It has no adjacent room, so it is extra quiet. Lots of convenient extras like toothbrush/paste, razor, makeup remover, floss, etc. Very nice breakfast, described as continental, but there was cooked to order bacon and eggs. Very peaceful location at the edge of town, overlooking a vineyard. We played pool in the recroom, which was a nice perk. Ellie, our hostess, was very friendly and attentive.

An in room fridge would be an appreciated amenity, although there are shareable fridges on premises. Our TV was not working, so we watched some TV in the recroom that night and told our hostess about the problem in the morning. There is no microwave on premises, which we found unusual. We often microwave our coffees and pastries.

This is by far the best BnB I've stayed in, and I've stayed in many around the world. It was quaint with a country charm but modern upgrades where needed. -the location is central for driving everywhere by car -the parking and entry is easy and accessible -the beds were very comfortable and clean -the room was spacious with a sitting area -private bathroom was super modern and immaculate, thought that maybe they just renovated because it was so clean and upgraded -there is a kitchenette upstairs for coffee, drinking water (hot/cold), coolers and beer, and snacks, as well as downstairs in the kitchen that also had fridge space assigned to each room -there is a big pool outside that wasn't open yet but looked like soon will be -the basement was a nice touch with an office, wifi, billiards and lounge area -the breakfast was personalized and delicious, from the fresh made hash browns, to the danishes, to the bacon and eggs (straight from Ellie's chickens) You can tell that Ellie is passionate about hosting, as evidenced by the small touches that meant a lot, like the toiletries, actual shampoo/conditioner/body wash, dental kits, hair ties, razors, slippers and BATH ROBES!!! Literally everything you'd expect from a high end hotel was present at the BnB. And ladies, the lighting in the bathroom... such a dream to get ready in. There is not one thing I didn't love about this BnB, Ellie was a super sweet and communicative host. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back next time in NOTL.

Everything was great, I'd suggest all BnB owners visit this place to pick up some tips on how to make your guests feel right at home.
