This is a super hotel. One of the top few I’ve stayed in. Somehow the staff hit just the right tone. They are pleasant and chatty but not too informal and not too formal or pretentious. I found the staff were also flexible and helpful. They made me feel welcome and comfortable which is really rare. I loved the room with comfy armchair and a moveable table I used for working. I liked the layout of the room and washroom. For two people it might have been a bit squishy but it was fine for one. Also, there is only one armchair, so a couple would have to fight over it. The location was perfect for me because I was doing research at the National Archives. But it’s also well located for walking to Sparks Street, Bank, Somerset or further afield to Hintonburg.

I didn’t like the Timothy’s coffee that was provided but bought my own at a grocery store. The garden outside needs watering every couple of days. The flowers were really dying and parched. Could be a super perennial garden. Also, I think the restaurant is owned by someone else but I had a BLT and didn’t think it was that great. I didn’t try anything else. I ordered from Greek on Wheels and from Mekong, both of which were good.

The staff were absolutely amazing and have been such a pleasure to meet with. The helped me with my rooming situation since I booked an extra night stay to come up a day early and they helped me with that!. Ashima was such a big help and was the best part of the stay! Always smiling and easily answered my questions !

It's not even anything on the hotel but with the heat on the first two nights of my stay, a lack of pool was a problem but honestly a miniscule issue since my room had a good a/c cooling!

I liked the location as I was going to the Bluesfest and I could walk there and back..the room was on the small side but very clean and the bed was super comfortable…a suggestion would be to put some spoons and coffee creamer in the room for the coffee machine…I had only sugar and coffee pods..maybe some decaf pods as well. All in all it was quiet and comfy..the staff was also very friendly…I would use this hotel again.

I had budgeted this, unaware that I needed to have a deposit on a credit card. I did not have enough space on my credit card for both the room and the deposit. Therefore I asked to pay for the room in full via debit card and then have a deposit held on my credit card. She informed me that was not an option. When I really think it should be. Be aware that the parking garage is VERY tight and large vehicles may find it difficult to park. We were lucky and had a smaller SUV.

Our room was spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and we got a very good room service. The staff were friendly and helpful. We came for an appointment at one of the embassies as well as for a school march break. The location of the hotel was in a walking distance from the embassy, very convenient. We walked to the Parliament building and several other touristic locations.

Location was okay, under 15 minutes to Parliament Hill. The room was immaculate and beds comfy. Mini fridge is always nice. Generic, safe and clean hotel in a central location for a reasonable price.

For the price, there is no pool or sauna and the onsite parking, if available, is an extra fee. I have stayed at so many Holiday Inns and find the ones that include breakfast to be a great value-added feature. There is nothing wrong with this hotel but there is also nothing particularly great.

The staff that worked in the bar and restaurant was very friendly and we enjoyed sitting at the bar for the two days to chat up with the staff and other visitors. The food was different and well presented also very tasty. Different items on the menu which was also very nice to be able to choose something that you have not had before.

I the reception person that booked us in could have had a little bit more information of what was happening in or around Ottawa. Maps were given when asked but I feel this should have been presented to us at the beginning instead of having to ask. It would have been better to know what to do to see more of Ottawa.

The hotel was easy to locate and located close to parliament hill. The parking was tight, but priced competitiely. The room was clean and comfortable. The TV was a good size (55") and worked well. The restaurant was good. We dined there for dinner and breakfast. The food was good, priced fairly and served by fast and friendly staff.

The room could have been a little larger and a larger window would have been nice. Otherwise, it was great.

Searching for parking. When I booked I saw on your website that parking was available at the hotel. However, the website does not state limited parking only and you have to find parking else where. I thought when you reserve and pay for your room a parking spot would have been reserved also.
