FOUR NIGHT STAY/Aug 2023 . Staff were outstanding ..seriously..they were amazing ! Location was A+ , walking distance to bars and restaurants as well as Parliament Hill ,National War Museum and right across the street, The Canadian Museum of History. This hotel has direct access to the huge biking path/system in Gatineau/Ottawa. There is a storage room in the underground garage for your bike. Just ask at the front desk about accessing it. The hotel restaurant/bar L'Ardoise, has great food and was a relaxing way to have a drink before or after returning from your excursions. The breakfast buffet which opens at 7am, was a winner. Hotel was very clean and rooms were kept tidy .

While in your rooms , sometimes you can hear pipes banging from neighbouring showers. Adjoining room doors are not very well insulated for sound dampening , as I could hear the television next door( I'll assume the sound was turned quite high) ,but any noise from the hallway was low to moderate. This being said, it's a hotel and I always expect some volume levels and sounds to be different from what you are immune to at home.

great room, brilliant location, extremely comfy bed and all very modern. Staff at check out were fabulous - helpful, accommodating and actually smiling

our room wasn’t ready on arrival and that may have been my fault as we arrived before the time I had advised but well after check-in time (plans change) and we were given a card and advised to call to check whether the room was ready before we returned - I would expect the hotel to do me the courtesy of initiating that contact. When we eventually did check-in, it took an eternity and seemed like a complete hassle for the soulless and charmless gentleman who did it.

The hotel is across the street from the museum of Canadian history. Also in walking distance from many landmarks in Ottawa, we did not need a car for the duration of our stay, which was great. We had a large beautiful room with a nice view and in fact one night we were able to see the fireworks show on the Ottawa river from the window of our room 😀. Also steps from the hotel we discovered Rue Laval with a few wonderful little restaurants and patios, and art works everywhere. The hotel could be considered a bit noisy, you can hear doors closing in the hallways and showers running in other rooms. The hotel pool was good and clean. We tried the breakfast one morning and found the food ok but a bit expensive for what it offered, $85 after taxes and service for a family of 4. There are better options outside the hotel. Very prompt service from the hotel main desk, especially from Derek, thank you.

The concierge we communicated with were very helpful and always with a smile. Check in and Check out were a breeze! Location is ideal for us as we were there for a competition across the street and Parking was a bonus as it is so close and convenient.

We were checked in Room 726 and took HOURS to get the coolness to the ideal temperature. The body wash container was empty. Other than that we had no other complaints.

From the moment we entered the hotel, the staff was incredible. Helpful, kind and their energy makes you want to come back again. The wonderful lady who checked us in was beyond helpful and the lady who served me coffee in the morning was a pleasure to be around and her energy alone makes you want to come back! The best hotel I've stayed at in a long time.

Nothing. I loved it.

Staff was professional and attentive; service was very courteous and efficient; room was clean; location is fairly central if you have a car (By Ward Market is about 25 mns walk and Canadian Museum of History just in front) but very little is walking distance, no commerce area, restaurant, not even a convenience store, etc...; However, the hotel has onsite packaged lunches and snacks to buy;

While the area around the hotel is nice and safe, it's not very lively

Parking is very close, and room location was very close as well

The pool was ok, the hot tub was taped off and the ceiling paint was peeling off. The pool was small and had a lot of chlorine in it. The young attendant did a test when we were in It then poured some coloured mixture in.

Very professional checkin at the reception desk; room was clean and comfortable. Location was important to us as we wanted to visit a "small plate wine bar" within 12 blocks of the location. Parking was convenient.

We turned on the air conditioning to lower the room temperature slightly to 68 deg F. The A/C unit was very loud and did not reach temperature for a long time.

The hotel is located very centrally (15 minute walk to downtown Ottawa), yet the area is very green, almost suburban. There is a tea/coffee machine in the room, the AC is very efficient, the floor-to-ceiling windows give a nice panorama of Ottawa.

The place was not super clean - e.g. the sheets gave the impression that they had not been changed or washed properly. Overall, though, a good place to stay in Ottawa.

Clean and comfortable room. Staff were patient and helpful. Restaurant staff were exceptional considering they were understaffed.

Pool was not available when we planned to use it per school. The backup for taxi fare to the Ottawa location was not practical
