Very nice place to spend the night prior to flying, nice staff, you can do 4kg of laundry for 10usd on site (wash and dry), they organized a 7usd taxi to airport for me in the morning. I had some fruit for breakfast as I was leaving before official breakfast hours. The garden is nice and there is a nice cat on the property as well. I saw someone traveling with a dog (pet-friendly).

Room #1 (with private bathroom) could really use better ventilation, I'm not sure if I would stay in this room again. The ceiling fan worked ok, but the room got humid after using the shower and there was no real way to vent it properly (almost no windows that you can open)

I liked the staff treatment, they are very nice and willing to help you out. We arrive quite late at night and they waited for us to arrive to the hostel save. The room was everything we needed with private bathroom and included breakfast, which was the typical Costa Rican breakfast. Also, at the back of the building there is a very nice area to relax.

The kitchen was a little bit small and disorganised. We did not cook, but I would not be confident to do it.

We stayed 4 days in total and had breakfast once because we had tours. The first room smelled a little bad because of the toilet system but that was through no fault of the owners. The window looked outward to the stret and was noisy unfortunately. Teh the second room was really great, clean and no smell, but coconuts kept falling onto the tin roof of the kitchen and scaring us and waking us all night sadly. Great place though for the price. Another great place a bit cheaper up the road too. The host gave us a bag of fruit if we left early which was nice, but I had to ask for it, it was not offered.

The smell of the bathroom, the noise from outside, the hallyways and the coconuts falling onto the tin roof in the bedroom near the kitchen

I spent 2 nights there with a friend and it was so lovely! We could take our breakfast (with good coffee and fruits) in a pretty backyard. The street is calm and the beds are comfy so we slept well. The owner is one of the kinder person i ever met. Always available to help us with recommandations for places to visit, how to go somewhere and so on. One person of the team also help us by calling several bus companies to know their schedules and prices. We are so happy to have crossed the road of all those carrying people during our trip in Costa Rica.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Amanda and all the other staff were friendly and accommodating to me during my six night stay and I like the free breakfast which was served each day across the street in a little café. They even did my laundry for a small fee and what a fine job Mellissa did with it. The bed was comfortable and the location is prefect! Just a few minutes drive to the airport and short walks to parks and everything else you'll need.

The taxi driver robe me big time he charged me 10,000.00 from the hostel to the airport and this was the driver Cortez Azul ordered for me. I was told by reception it it would cost 3,000.00. I didn't like that how noisy it got at night and early morning. The kitchen need some upgrade. Especially the microwave. It is really worn out inside and not inviting for the faint at hearth. Cortez Azul is advertised as a hotel but in my opinion it's more like a hostel.

Everything is clean and welcoming. We spent 2 nights to go to the vulcano Poas. You can book a tour or go by public buses. The room was good for the two night, nothing fancy but all clean. We liked the little garden where you get breakfast (a lot of fruits, cereals, bread, jam and coffee, tea). It was good for us. Price and performance is good:) it is central to the airport, only 5-10 min by taxi and you can walk to the bus stations

We stayed there for 2 nights. First, we got the worst room ever with no window at all. There was also bathroom in the floor above the room and you could hear everything going there... I was upset. I asked staff to move us and the girl told me that ok, but next day. Net day she moved us to really nice room. So I am writing this review and giving stars based on this room. The review of the first one would be bad. Otherwise the hostel (it is called hotel, but is is rather hostel) is really nice, staff is nice, it has small garden you can sit in, kitchen, coffe maker, good location. There is also small breakfast included. So it is perfect place to stay if you are in Alajuela (unless you get the "wrong" room which makes it in the worst place to be).

Some of the rooms are really nice but some are not (I wrote about it in What did I liked).

Our flight landed just after midnight. The accommodation gave us excellent directions. They told us to take an Orange official taxi , the cost and distance to the hotel. It cost 7$. Would be cheaper if paid in CRC. The taxi driver waited until the hotel door was unlocked and we were able to go in. Quiet hotel. Comfortable bed. Good cooking facilities. Nice seating area. Banks in town. Claro shop to buy a sim. Breakfast in cafe opposite good.

It would be useful to have a front door key so that you are not locked out when no one at reception.

Alajuela is perfectly placed for the airport less than a 10 minute Uber away. I booked this knowing it was more like a hostel than hotel and it was much better than I expected and at a really low price. The room was small and with no windows but it was clean and comfortable with a hot shower. The bathroom had good ventilation to the outside so leaving the door open cooled the bedroom. The garden is a real bonus if you're killing time before a flight. Staff were friendly and really helpful and having a kitchen available is useful (especially the coffee machine!)

As it is an "airport" hotel there is some movement of people late and early. No window was a bit of a pain but at the price I'm not complaining. A few hooks to hang clothes etc wouldn't go amiss.

The stuff was helpful and kind even though we didnt speak spanish and they didnt speak english. It was also helpful they recomended us the taxi agency to get to the place from airport and told us how much it should cost so we knew we should not pay more. We liked the breakfast in the garden.
