Great property and close to our car rental place and the airport. They have their own parking inside the property and they need to open the gate for you so you can access it. This wasn't explained but once a local parking attendant got hold of the owners, and we circled the block (it was manic due to a nearby football match!), we were able to park up. Very secure parking. Definitely worth calling the property when you are 5 minutes away. Room was comfortable with a big bathroom and storage area. Shops and restaurants very close by.

The room was up a flight of stairs and we had big heavy bags. Would just have been good to know when we were booking whether the rooms were ground floor or not but ultimately our error for not checking.

Just across the street from the beautiful church. 12-15 minutes from the airport. Friendly staff. Secure parking in internal area behind the gates.

Rooms are quite crampy, but given the location and price it is of no surprise. Some rooms have direct access to the 2nd floor terrace, ask about it.

Vicky was a lovely host. She came to the door to greet us and let our car into the secure and private garage. The hotel is very clean and you can tell this property has sentimental value to the family. She also arranged for a cab to take me to the airport at 4:15 am and the driver showed up right on time. It is in a great location close to the airport and I would definitely stay here again before flying out of SJO!

The hot water in our room ran out pretty quickly while showering.

We loved our very cozy and beautiful room. Very comfortable beds, very clean. Location is perfect for the airport and to enjoy Alejuela town if having time to spare before the flight. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was vegan as we requested, and exceeded our expectations!

Attentive staff and safe hotel. Easy access to the airport. Nice terrace and great host.

A little noisy from the street. I would encourage the hosts to improve their windows. For the price point I paid I would have excepted a quieter environment.

We have stayed at the Bamboo Aparthotel before and it is always a great stopover for SJO airport. Not only is it very close to the airport but it's ideal for walking to a really nice Mexican restaurant in downtown Alajuela for supper. They offered a room upgrade this time, so we had an apartment right next to our secure parking spot, which was very convenient as we had a lot of luggage with us. And, as always, a very good breakfast. It's our go to place for a one-night stopover, but we would happily stay there for longer too.

Location!! Smack in the middle of Alajuela, and 10 minutes from the airport! Easy walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants! SOOOO clean and cozy and very well decorated and thought out! I'd want to live there! Wish we had had more time to stay there! There was even a separate little room attached to the kitchen with a washing machine and drying rack for clothes (the dryer was out of service, but it wasn't even listed on the site as an amenity in the first place.) Secure parking within the compound.

Bed needs an upgrade. Super squeaky and almost comically bouncy with every little movement, and a tiny bit on the saggy side. Considering the high quality of the rest of the furniture, this was a bit surprising. Still had a great rest on it, though.

The staff (family) is extremely friendly. They accommodated us even though we arrived there late at night. The room was clean and the internet worked very well. Breakfast was exceptional!!!

Right in the middle of downtown. Gave us an authentic feeling. Cute balcony to enjoy the vibe of the city. Safely gated property. Many thoughtful touches in the kitchen.
